STOP VANDALISM
[edit]Stop vandalism! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.0.45.48 (talk) 17:34, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
- Please speak normally and explain what you are talking about and what article you are referring to, and sign your posts instead of making accusations! --Urduboy (talk) 20:45, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
June 2010
[edit]Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Mohammed Al Amoudi. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Gyrofrog (talk) 14:06, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
Please stop vandalising articles!
[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Barelvi, you may be blocked from editing. CoercorashTalkContr. 11:47, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
- Your accusations of vandalism are laughable! --Urduboy (talk) 12:08, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Your dispute with Coercorash
[edit]Re. Barelvi
I am posting this message on both of your talk pages, Urduboy (talk · contribs) and Coercorash (talk · contribs).
You have both made mistakes, and I want to stop this from escalating, if I can.
- Coercorash warned Urduboy for vandalism [1] and the edits were not vandalism.
- Vandalism is things such as, adding "LALALALALALALALALA".
- Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism.
- Please read Wikipedia:Vandalism.
- Also, Coercorash made this comment which is not civil. So please, read that policy too.
- Urduboy, your edit summary here says undo vandalism by Coercorash – and, as above, this is not vandalism.
- You have also not been civil.[2] Yes, I can see that it was in 'retalliation', but that is no excuse.
You must both stick to calm, polite discussion of the topic, and cease these ad hominem arguments.
If this continues, you are both in danger of damaging your reputation on Wikipedia, and even being blocked.
I hope we can rescue this problem from the brink – and that is why I have posted this message.
Please – stay cool, and relax. Have a cup of tea or something. Let's have a chat, and sort this out, in a civil way.
Do not edit-war. I don't care which version is there right now; after reading this, please, do not make further edits before coming to an agreement on the talk page. For light relief at this point, please see meta:The Wrong Version.
If you cannot come to an agreement, we can deal with that – we can get a third opinion, make a request for comments, or get mediation – but all of this can be done in a nice, calm environment.
I have seen similar incidents hundreds of times – and, at this point, it can go one of two ways. Please, let's sort this out, and work together, to make Wikipedia better.
Thank you very much for your time in reading this. Chzz ► 16:51, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi Urduboy,
Thank you for your comment on my talk page.
Just a note here, to inform you of actions.
Coercorash made a further edit without getting consensus, so I added a warning at the end here. Sadly, I believe it necessary to request temporary full protection for the article, and have done so here.
It's quite possible it will be the wrong version for a bit, but so be it - no deadline, etc.
I remain a neutral third-party, trying to resolve the problem as best I can.
I hope you'll understand, thanks, Chzz ► 21:43, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
Your proposed Shirazi article, and the Shi'a in Africa gaps
[edit]Saw you intend to write on the East African Shirazi; seems to be an undercovered subject, so good on you for finding that gap! Question: were/are the Shirazi's Shi'a, or did they leave Iran prior to that stage? If they are Shi'a, I'd really like to get some of the info summarised and linked in to Shi'a Islam in Africa, and maybe some spinoff into at least starting stubs on "Shi'a Islam in X" for various African countries. I started a Shi'a Islam by country template for Africa, but it's pretty woefully understocked so far. I intend to try and add articles on Senegal and Burkina Faso in the next few weeks:
Just something to keep in mind if any of the minority groups in Africa you cover are ever Shi'a. MatthewVanitas (talk) 09:27, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think the Shirazis are Shia -- will have to check. However there is a significant Shia community in East Africa including both Twelvers and Ismailis. I will try to add information and pages where I can. --Urduboy (talk) 09:43, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, so they're Sunni. Just thought I'd check. Noted that Category:Muslim communities was getting crowded, so I created and populated Category:Muslim communities in Africa. By the way, if you have references indicating the Shirazis are Sunni, would you mind specifying that in the article so that others like me don't get to wondering if they're Shi'a because of the name? Nice work. MatthewVanitas (talk) 20:49, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- Sure, I've added the Sunni reference now, cheers. --Urduboy (talk) 22:38, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Re:barelvi
[edit]I've discussed that on the Talk:Barelvi, but you are one along with matthew to add PoV lies(eg."barelvis" ask from aulia) and removing Template:Be neutral along with Template:Ahle sunnah and instead adding Template:Barelvi,so to make it appear that it's offshoot. And offcourse, you started the last edit war instead of discussing the issue,as i requested to in edit summary.
People like are destroying the neutrality of wikipedia. Yet you should use a personal blog to express your views, instead of pushing PoV on wikipedia articles. I again sincerely request you to not to start another edit war and not to push your PoV. Please see WP:NPOV.
CoercorashTalkContr. 06:03, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- You have not made any contributions to Talk:Barelvi since 1 July! If you are going to make a mass edit like the one you did yestarday [3] you will have to discuss it and reach consensus. In your edit you removed numerous references to reliable sources without any explanation.
- If you want to change a single statement, then go ahead but provide a reliable secondary source. The statement about Aulia is poor, I agree, so edit it to something better but provide a better REFERENCE! Anyway, let's discuss the details on the Barelvi talk page further. --Urduboy (talk) 06:34, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did to Barelvi, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
