Confirmed permission
[edit]Hello UniversalBowman. I saw your note at WP:AN/I regarding not being able to edit the Malaysian Airlines flight because it was semiprotected. I have just flagged your account with the confirmed permission, this bypasses the four day and ten edit requirement for your account to become autoconfirmed. In other words, you can now edit semiprotected articles and pages while logged into this account. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. --kelapstick(bainuu) 19:43, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. To be honest I've no great desire to edit that article at the moment. As an IP editor, when I went to read the article, I was just incensed that it was protected, and remains so, for no valid reason. UniversalBowman (talk) 20:06, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
- I am inclined to agree with you. I am against preemptive semiprotection as a rule, however I can be sympathetic towards those who want it in this case as well (that is not to say I agree with it). Regardless you are now confirmed and can edit it if you like. --kelapstick(bainuu) 20:10, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
