User talk:Ultimate ed
I've asked for a peer review for the Knights of Columbus article, with the hopes of making it a featured article. Any help you could give would be great. Thanks! Briancua 13:57, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Farpoint Media
[edit]Hello, ed. I've noticed that you've spent a significant amount of time editing the Farpoint Media podcast articles, as well as defending the now-deleted Mennengasia article. However, most of those edits aren't entirely up to Wikipedia standards. As a fellow Wingin' It listener, I've been editing the articles as well, but I'm afraid that if the other listeners start editing the articles in a manner similar to yours, they'll be nominated for deletion. I'm not trying to yell at your style, I'm just making a suggestion to conform a little tighter to Wikipedia's standards. In my opinion (and mine only), Wingin' It isn't a hugely significant phenomenon. I agree, it is an excellent podcast, and I wish it the best of luck, but I don't believe that Wingin' It and other Farpoint Media podcast articles have been written in a formal, "encyclopedic" style.
Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you've got something on your mind. Thanks, Shadow1 18:50, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
StubSense
[edit]I came across your comment about podcast/podcaster stubs, and you were wondering what StubSense was. Well, this is it. Simply enter a category name (it can be a 'regular' permanent category or even a stub category) in the first text box. Enter a number into the 2nd text box. A bigger number will search through more articles (helpful for a large category or a deeply nested one). When it's done running, it will give you a list of all the stubs that are used in that category, listed in descending order. It's a quick and useful tool, but the numbers can be a bit off due to database lag and that sort of thing. I hope this was helpful. If you have any more questions, feel free to leave me a message. Have a great day and happy editing! ~ Amalas rawr =^_^= 18:45, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
