[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages British and Heavy metal (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]I have added your name here. There is some confusion on the image (more clearly, is it really image of the star?), I asked there to check the image, see if you can help there! --Tito Dutta (talk) 20:08, 31 December 2012 (UTC)

DYK for HD 179821
[edit]On 3 January 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article HD 179821, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that HD 179821, a bright star in the Aquila constellation, is a supernova candidate? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/HD 179821. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Physical characteristics part for UY Scuti
[edit]Hi, U-95! I appreciate your effort in improving my article. First of all, thanks for adding me a reliable source. But moving the "Physical characteristics" part of my article UY Scuti makes the main meaning more shorter and uglier. Also, the size of the star does not have any physical significance to the characteristics of the star. When we talk about characteristic of the star, we only include its initial properties (i.e: mass, luminosity, temperature). Thank you! You can talk to me if you have any questions! --Johndric Valdez (talk) 12:53, 19 September 2013 (UTC)--
Anyway, why did you remove the "Physical characteristics" part? The size of the star gives the reader the impression of the star, then giving the physical characteristics or other details about it. I guess you just need to think about it. Before you make a change, talk to me. --Johndric Valdez (talk) 06:19, 20 September 2013 (UTC)--
PZ Cassiopeiae
[edit]You've updated the size of this star from the recently published paper, but I am unable to find any reference to the number 1400 that you quote. Quite likely it isn't given explicitly in the paper, but I am also unable to derive it from the given luminosities and effective temperature. I get a value of 1287 from the quoted 3600K and luminosity 250,000 times solar. Or 1261-1337 using the full range of luminosity estimates. Lithopsian (talk) 00:13, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

The article Frozen star (hypothetical star) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not even in the same galaxy as notable concepts in astrophysics. "Frozen star" appears literally in a single sentence of Ref. 2, and not at all in Ref. 1. A search on google Scholar gets me results only about black holes, not frozen stars in this sense.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Tercer (talk) 19:05, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
