This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Jean François Porchez, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.identifont.com/show?14S. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Cut & paste moves

[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Jean-François Porchez a different title by copying its content and pasting it into Jean François Porchez. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:24, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Typofonderie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Yunshui  08:35, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

Last change made on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porchez_Typofonderie was simply an attempt to rename the English version of page to reflect the french version of the existing page http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typofonderie

Decline reason:

You have not addressed the reasons for the block. For your information, I am giving you a block notice (below) which for some reason you were not given when you were blocked. It gives further details of the reason for the block. However, if you don't see such language as "high quality typefaces for adventurous digital typographers" and "cutting-edge expertise" as promotional, then it is doubtful whether you have the ability to see your own writing objectively enough to be able to edit from the neutral point of view required for editing Wikipedia. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:04, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing, because this account has been used only for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to Wikipedia policy, and because you account appears to represent a business or other organisation, which is also against policy. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a free advertising service.
What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will probably not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.

Please note that, in order for your request to have a reasonable chance of success, you must address the conflict of interest issue, and make it clear that your editing will not be promotional, and will not be made on behalf of your business or other organisation.

If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

My intention was to correct the name of the pages Porchez Typofonderie who already have a content and no redirection for Typofonderie. Not to edit the content of Jean François Porchez as JamesBWatson suggest. Now it seems that the content of Porchez Typofonderie is deleted and existing content of Jean François Porchez have been removed too for unknow reason, as I don't see why there is any reason to change something who existed as here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jean_François_Porchez&oldid=483884205 Next time I will propose my suggestion on Talk page rather than direct edit, as it seems better

By evading your block, you've burnt all the bridges down. Max Semenik (talk) 11:37, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • I have no idea what makes you think that I "suggested" that you intended to edit Jean François Porchez. I have carefully re-read my message and I can't see that it says that. The text I quoted was from your editing of Typofonderie. Also, you have still not addressed the reasons for the block. Previously I thought this might be because the situation had not been explained to you, but now that I have given you the above block notice, that does not appear to be the reason. I strongly suggest carefully re-reading the instructions there. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:09, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

JamesBWatson Please try to understand this content is not mine, I just copy past from an existing page to another created, as the only intention was to rename the page. If the initial content wasn't appropriate is not my fault, it was like that before my modification of the name of page. Again, when you say the content came from my edit, its obviously normal as it came from a copy past from an other page, this other wikipedia page content wasn't created by me. Please reconsider, thanks.

Decline reason:

Procedural close as you may only have 1 open unblock request at a time. You do not need another request to reply to anyone. ~~Ebe123~~ → report 11:19, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You do not need for another unblock request for replying, as administrators will see this even if there is 1 request. I suggest reading Wikipedia:Appealing a block. The reason for the block is that the account has been used for promoting Porchez Typofonderie while your username is connected to the subject. The block template explains it. You must request a new username. You must also convince the administrators that you understand the reason for the block, that you will make helpful contributions and the block is no longer needed to protect the wiki. Right now you have only defended your actions and stating that it's not you the fault but others. You should not be doing that in a unblock request. ~~Ebe123~~ → report 01:07, 28 July 2012 (UTC) (changed at 01:15, 28 July 2012 (UTC))[reply]

I see that you have now resorted to trying to evade the block by using another account. Being blocked means that you may not edit Wikipedia, not that you may edit as long as you evade the block by creating another account, nor that you may get a friend or colleague to edit for you to evade the block.
