I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was User:Tylerbotts/sandbox, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to User:Tylerbotts/sandbox, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

So you are saying that you have no affiliation with Spiceology at all? Please be aware that you do not have to be paid specifically to edit Wikipedia. As well, you should be aware that a company isn't entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. We require that a company meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for companies, as evidenced by having significant coverage in multiple reliable sources that are independent of the company itself. We don't accept self-published sources that lack editorial independence from the subject; this includes company-authored press releases, blogs, message forums and social media. A company's own website can be considered as a valid primary source to verify basic facts and figures, but it won't count toward establishing notability. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:13, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for getting back to me! I agree that not all companies should have a Wikipedia article just because they exist, however I feel like this one is actually interesting enough to be included since Spiceology has essentially invented something noteworthy. I will make use of the paid template, thanks for the help with that. Lastly, do you feel that our citations are not strong enough to be included? Let's review the sources you have used so far and how they line up against WP:ORGCRIT:

Inc.com - basic listing, not significant coverage. N
Crowd Cow - interview with the founder, primary source. N
Spiceology - company website, primary source. N
King5 - brief mention, not significant coverage. N
News Direct - press release, self-published source. N
Brewbound - press release, self-published source. N
National Kidney Foundation - press release; even if Spiceology didn't write the content, the NKF has a conflict of interest with Spiceology. N

None of your sources have the required combination of significant coverage, reliability (an established reputation for fact-checking and editorial oversight) and independence (having no personal, political or financial interest in the subject). Therefore based on them, the company has not met the notability criteria for companies.

In addition, the language used is unduly promotional and not written from the required neutral point of view:

"Spiceology started with a chef-centric approach, providing inventive and unusual flavor combinations"

"The Spiceology team continues to release innovative flavors"

First of all, you seem to be splitting your efforts between User:Tylerbotts/sandbox and Draft:Spiceology. The draft space is the preferred location for articles in development. I would consolidate your content in the draft, and then blank your sandbox.

You can then submit the draft for review using the "submit draft" button at the top of the draft, and a neutral reviewer will provide feedback.
