Old Berrien County Courthouse Complex
[edit]Hi! I deleted that entire section because it was old information that had been reused elsewhere and not deleted at the time of the initial edit yesterday. I'm not sure why you reinstated the deletion when it clearly made no sense to the overall entry. Everything, including the costs were transfer down in the buildings section and other information shifted upwards. Thanks!

- @BCHAMuseum: I reverted the edit mostly due to COI reasons. You have already been notified on your talk page that your account username does not follow WP:COI guidelines, and you have yet to put a disclosure template on your User/Talk page. Since this is required of accounts that are connected to the articles they mainly edit, you have to do it according to Wikipedia guidelines. ― Tuna NoSurprisesPlease 19:28, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Regarding the recent reverts you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. EthanGaming7640 21:57, 8 February 2022 (UTC)

Your revert of my edits - please reconsider
[edit]Hello, this is about a revert that you have done recently to Gun laws in Poland article. If you do not agree with me removing a single reference, it is completely OK to revert that single edit, putting the reference back. But in the process you have reverted (and I assume it was an honest mistake on your part) also several other edits:
- my additions of a few other references, including ones to official legal acts (I cannot think of more authoritative references)
- several technical changes (such as legal terminology more aligned to English one, e.g. calling ministerial documents "regulations" and not "orders")
- a detailed list of misdemeanors
- updates that brought the article more in line with the Wikipedia Manual of Style, such us usage of quotes, dashes and thousand commas
- notes explaining some legal conundrums
- various minor corrections of typos, capitalization, grammar, style or simple "thought mistakes" such as me writing "self-service" instead of "self-defence" (blush)
This is from an user that had done extensive work on the article, but does not want to expose his Wikipedia user name with regard to for this particular topic at this time -- 140.101.160.252 (talk) 16:07, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- My apologies, I only meant to revert the removal of the reference. ― Tuna NoSurprisesPlease 16:11, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- I think I managed to bring the article back to the desired state, including your intended revert, please edit if you think more changes are needed. I still kinda want to remove the reference as the referenced official page only says that the President has signed two new acts into law, without further details. The relevant change to suppressors regulations is already described in the amendments section, under 2020 "heading", including a reference to the actual text of the law signed by the President. May I ask for your recommendation on how to handle such reference removals in the future, not to cause any alarms? Thanks -- 140.101.160.252 (talk) 17:03, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

Talk page content removal
[edit]Hello Tunakanski, just a note that editors can remove warnings from their own talk page, see WP:BLANKING. -- LuK3 (Talk) 13:27, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, I only readded them since it seemed to be interfering with ClueBot and RW giving out proper warnings to the user. I'll make sure not to do it again in the future. ― Tuna + 13:47, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- I think that we don't need to accuse each other of vandalism, but fraternally find a compromise. The fact is that my edit [1] in George S. Patton was aimed at removing a random image rewarding a soldier who is not related to the section of the text in which it was placed, I'm sorry that it could look like vandalism in someone's eyes. At the same time, you sincerely and persistently improve wikipedia so I understand your concerns about such edits as mine in a featured article, but I think we both need to get back to the true value of Wikipedia - the Goodfaith cooperation and solve it out in the spirit of friendship and mutual consent, with respect TyronMcLannister (talk) 14:17, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
FAC Help
[edit]Hello there Tunakanski,
I am interested in bringing Hollow Knight to FA status sometime in the future. Since you have been relatively active on that page, I was hoping if you could help me research and clean the page for an eventual nomination. I already have a checklist that I received from FA coordinator, and if you are interested, I would be happy to have you help me prepare the page.

- I am taking an abrupt WikiBreak right now because of personal issues, so I will unavailable until May 27. Just letting you know of my situation. CollectiveSolidarity (talk) 18:25, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- Also also, I have a question : Do you happen to know any other editors that can help work on this? FAs often take at least a month of preparation to prepare for nomination, but groups of editors can streamline the process if all are working together. Once I get back, I am going to leave a notice at Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games to ask for some help, and a WP:FAM could also help by reviewing the page. Once again, thank you for helping me along with this. It will be a tough project, but we can try our best! CollectiveSolidarity (talk) 18:58, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- I know that Levi OP will most likely be willing to help, as he assisted me with promoting the article to GA status. Beyond him, however, we might need to rely on members of Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games for additional help. Currently, I'm working on a list of everything that still needs improvement in the article, besides just general expansion. ― TUNA × 19:07, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

- @Conor HD John: Hi, thank you for reaching out. I recommend reading this section on the WP:COI page. Basically, if you are an employee of a company, you are strongly discouraged from directly editing the article of that company. You also must disclose on your User page what company you work for.
- These are the main points:
- you must disclose who is paying you, on whose behalf the edits are made, and any other relevant affiliation;
- you should make the disclosure on your user page, on affected talk pages, and whenever you discuss the topic;
- you are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly;
- If you follow the 'disclose' hyperlink and scroll up a bit it will let you know how to add the template to your page and what information to fill in. If you have any other questions you can visit the Teahouse and ask about it there. Have a nice rest of your day. ― TUNA × 17:09, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

Regarding Destiny 2 Gear Section
[edit]Hello Tunakanski,
I recently made an edit listing the Stasis damage type under the Kinetic slot and you reverted that edit saying "there are stasis weapons that can go in the energy and special weapons slot" however I can't find any examples of Energy Stasis weapons and the Special slot does not exist in Destiny 2 (it was replaced with "Energy" and "Heavy" was replaced with "Power").
Here is a list of all current Stasis weapons in Destiny 2: https://www.light.gg/db/new-items/season/12/stasis-weapons/
There are no weapons listed in the Energy slot, only Kinetic & Power but the sentence I edited is specific to the Kinetic/Energy distinction and does not address Power weapons so they should not affect it.
I think the section should be set back to the way I had edited it since it currently shows incorrect information.
Let me know what you think, I just figured I'd talk it out instead of trying to revert it without discussion. 216.24.45.10 (talk) 18:53, 9 December 2022 (UTC)

Regarding reverted Rainbow Six Siege edit
[edit]My edit was made in regards to plot points introduced via the game's seasonal cinematics. As far as I'm aware, this type of content does not necessitate having citation or reliable sources. In fact, the Settings section itself was already lacking in citations, with only two small ones for the very basic plot from the game's first year, and nothing regarding the new details introduced in later seasons. Riot Games
[edit]Tuna,
You keep undoing my changes and I'm wondering if there is a specific reason why? 130.76.120.201 (talk) 18:52, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
- It's not a Chinese owned company, it is based in California which is in the United States of America. Investors does not equal ownership. ― TUNA × 02:41, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for responding and giving me an opportunity to talk to you about this. I agree that an investor does not necessarily mean that you are the owner, however, when an investor owns 100% of the shares of a company they are then, the sole owner of the company. I.E. one of the reasons Manchester United fans are upset at the Glazer family is because they bought out all the shares of Manchester United and became the sole owner of the club. The same thing has happened to Riot Games. TenCent is the sole investor and own 100% of the company making them the sole owner of the company.
- [2]https://www.alistdaily.com/media/what-tencents-ownership-of-riot-games-means/
- [3]https://www.cnet.com/tech/gaming/league-of-legends-maker-riot-games-now-completely-owned-by-chinas-tencent/
- Additionally, the logic that "it is headquartered in the US so it is a US company" is flawed. Many companies have headquarters in different countries and they are not then considered a x country company. I.E. TenCent America is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, but I don't think anyone would argue that they are an American company.
- [4]https://sage-tips.com/trendy/does-tencent-operate-in-the-us/#:~:text=Tencent%20America%20is%20the%20US%20branch%20of%20Tencent%2C,offices%20in%20New%20York%2C%20Los%20Angeles%2C%20and%20Seattle.
- Sony Interactive Entertainment is headquartered in San Mateo, California but I don't think anyone would argue that PlayStation is an American product.
- Sony Interactive Entertainment
- Microsoft has headquarters in Japan but they are not considered a Japanese based company.
- Microsoft Japan
- Additionally, Riot Games has headquarters in China.
- [5]https://archive.esportsobserver.com/china-esports-recap-july1-2020/
- Once again, thank you for communicating with me in good faith and if you see a flaw in my logic, please let me know. 130.76.120.201 (talk) 17:04, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- I get what you are saying and would agree that they are basically owned by Tencent, however, as you said, just because a company has a regional headquarters in a country doesn't mean that's where they are based. I believe Riot has it's European Headquarters in Dublin, but that doesn't mean it's an Irish company. Additionally, if you look at the Supercell (video game company) article, you will notice that they are owned by Tencent (and listed as a subsidiary on Tencent's page) but the first sentence of the lede only mentions that it is a Finnish company, not that it is Chinese-owned. ― TUNA × 13:56, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for responding, if we both agree that they are owned by TenCent, and we agree that TenCent is a Chinese company, then wouldn't that by default make them a Chinese company? And just because their headquarters are located in the US, that does not mean they are a US company because their parent company, the company giving them marching orders if you will, pay their pay checks etc, is Chinese. wouldn't that make them a Chinese company? 130.76.120.201 (talk) 13:49, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- The issue is that Riot is its own company. It's owned by a larger Chinese company, sure, but Riot itself is still based in the United States where it was also started, which, in my opinion, makes it an American company. Another example I can think of, with similar "balances of power", if you will is Microsoft and Skype. Skype is a subsidiary of Microsoft, but on Wikipedia, in the lede, it is still only labeled as a Luxembourgish company. So, I think we can still apply that same train of thought to Riot and other articles for tech or game companies and not specifically mention their ownership in the first sentence of the lede since they are their own companies after all. ― TUNA × 14:58, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- Tuna, I guess we are now back to the original point that if Riot is owned by a larger Chinese company, than it is not in fact it's own company. It may be able to operate with a certain amount of freedom but whenever TenCent decides to jerk the chain and force Riot to do what they want they can. Similar to how Bytedance, parent company of TikTok, has access to any US user data that TikTok has collected and TikTok has no say in the matter.
- [6]https://www.businessinsider.com/tiktok-confirms-us-user-data-accessed-in-china-bytedance-2022-7#:~:text=TikTok%20confirmed%20that%20China-based%20employees%20of%20its%20Chinese,to%20nine%20Republican%20senators%27%20inquiries%20about%20the%20matter.
- Additionally, whenever anyone thinks of Skype, they do automatically think of Skype being a Microsoft product. 130.76.120.201 (talk) 14:07, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
