Mentor

[edit]

G'day Tstaudt, I would be more then happy to be your mentor. I will within the next 24 hours create a mentor page that we can use to communicate, teach and learn. Cheers and welcome to Wikipedia. ZooPro 00:27, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First off I would like to ask you about your experiences with Wikipedia so I know how best to assist you as a mentor. If you could please answer the following questions for me.
  • Have you ever edited Wikipedia before?
  • What are your hobbies?
  • Do you have any pets?
  • Have you read the five pillars of wikipedia?
  • Do you have any questions about Wikipedia or anything else?
I know some of those questions dont relate to Wikipedia, however answering them will give you a bit of practice at editing and lets me know how best to discuss and compare things for you related to Wikipedia. Feel free to ask me any questions you like I dont mind at all. It would also be helpfull for you to add my talk page to your "Watchlist" (if you dont know how to do this or dont know what a watchlist dont worry thats a question you can ask me). Feel free to reply here and I will answer you within a few hours. Cheers and once again welcome ZooPro 07:18, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Overall I am getting used to looking around and starting to make the edits necessary. So at this point it is still a feeling out period.

To answer your questions: As your probably figured from the above response, I have not edited Wikipedia before.

My hobbies are watching and playing sports, mainly basketball, tennis, and golf. I love watching football (American, not footy - although I did enjoy going to Dockers games while I was there). And I like to travel when I can get the chance.

I do not have any pets - although sometimes having two brothers feels like I do.

I have read the five pillars - it is part of the class I am taking to really know them.

I do not have any questions right now, but I will definitely let you know when I do.

Telecom Atc of 1996 edits

[edit]

You made substantial edits to that article! Well done! I noticed that you do not seem to have a user page yet -- please generate. JMB — Preceding unsigned comment added by JMBauer (talkcontribs) 21:23, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Checking in

[edit]

ZooPro, your mentor, has a couple of real life problems preventing him from spending much time on Wikipedia. I'm here to fill in for him in the meantime. Do you have any questions/need any help? bibliomaniac15 22:24, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Additional feedback from Johannes M. Bauer

[edit]

You made good contributions. The addition of the Consumers Union assessment adds balance to the views of the cited Robert Crandall (who has provided a stronger pro-industry view). One could add additional concerns: that the Act is increasingly outdated due to convergence between the traditionally distinguished industry segments (common carriers, broadcasting, cable). An overhaul would be desirable (but is possibly politically infeasible). The entry suggests that the Communications Act of 1934 was replaced (although it does not say so directly). In practice, the sections of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 were integrated with the existing Communications Act of 1934, which is now officially called the Communications Act of 1934 as amended by the Telecommunications Act of 1996. --JMBauer (talk) 22:33, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am back

[edit]

G'day Tstaudt, I have returned to wikipedia after a longer then expected break. How are you going? What progress have you made? Do you require any assistance or want me to look over anything or answer any questions? I hope things have been good for you and my apologies for being away for so long. Kind regards ZooPro 13:53, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback by JM Bauer on wireless edits

[edit]

Tom, your edits are ok, but fairly modest ... I was looking for more substantive edits. Also, you got the Communications Act of 1934 wrong (it is NOT the Telecommunications Act of 1934); I fixed that. --JMBauer (talk) 20:29, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tom, I compared the wrong versions, so I take my previous comment back! You actually made very substantive edits that greatly imporoved the existing stup! Nice work! --JMBauer (talk) 16:41, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Prometheus Radio Project v. FCC

[edit]

In a simple and effective word "brilliant" you have done what many only dream to do, you have made a great article. I dont see any major faults with it and over all you should be very proud with how it looks and the information it contains. ZooPro 04:40, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Your article should be eligible to appear in the Did you know section of Wikipedia's main page, if you nominate it very soon. I left instructions on the article's talk page. Good luck! Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 19:35, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've replied to your question on my talk page. Also, I saw you had a broken Notre Dame box on your user page; to fix that, make "notre dame" lower case. OCNative (talk) 16:11, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
