Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to AEL 1964 FC. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. N0formationTalk 03:12, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removing AfD template

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Dimitri Prifti. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Speedy deletion nomination of Kostas Skoupras

[edit]

Hello Tsobek,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Kostas Skoupras for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Nithin (talk) 22:57, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry

[edit]

Sorry for the speedy delete tag on Kostas Skoupras. It was placed there by a brand new user who decided to start deletion on several articles. Your article is perfectly fine. Bgwhite (talk) 05:23, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Alexandros Galitsios, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 15:52, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Roddy Kambala has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Sir Sputnik (talk) 16:57, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Athanasios Papageorgiou has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Sir Sputnik (talk) 16:58, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please refer to WP:NCMAC and note that we're supposed to refrain from using the term FYROM in reference to the Republic of Macedonia. Thanks! Dolescum (talk) 06:45, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Always Learning. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions because it did not appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Zequinha (Portuguese footballer): 1 - please stop adding flags to boxes, it's against WP guidelines; 2 - please stop calling player a CENTRE FORWARD, he may be a FORWARD but not a CF; 3 - if you remove references one more time in storyline (four in this article!), i will report this to an administrator.

Thank you AL (talk) 16:22, 16 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I sincerely apologize for my reaction then, i will change the club name to AEL 1964 if it's been that way since 2003. But please, don't say you did not remove references in the article when you did (FOUR, the ones in Portuguese language, see this edit by you http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Zequinha_(Portuguese_footballer)&diff=557573116&oldid=556448469)). Yes, to report fellow users is quite offensive i agree 100% with you, but to remove references in articles is also quite offensive and considered vandalism, and it's not me that says so, it's WIKIPEDIA in general, the site's rules.

Take care also, sorry again --AL (talk) 21:46, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tsobek, Always Learning is correct, you should not add flags to infoboxes per WP:MOSFLAG, you should also not delete reliable sources. If you disagree with the inclusion of a source, please use the article talk page. Regards, GiantSnowman 10:35, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi GiantSnowman, yes i know, there has been a misunderstanding and i already apologized. Take care...

AEL 1964

[edit]

I removed so much content because all of the content I removed was unreferenced amd/or entirely unsuitable for an encyclopedia. Please note you do not own the article, anybody is free to edit it, and it should be in line with MOS and Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. GiantSnowman 08:15, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Non-English reliable sources (i.e. stuff in Greek) is fine; content full of WP:POV, WP:OR and ridiculous formatting (random stuff bolded / italicised) is not. Please also sign your talk page posts by typing four tildes ~~~~. GiantSnowman 10:53, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you're unwilling/unable to dsicuss the matter without resorting to SHOUTING and generally hard-to-understand posts then I see no use in further conversation. And again, please learn to sign your talk page posts. GiantSnowman 12:51, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As I've already said, everything I removed was unsourced and/or unsuitable for inclusion. For the THIRD time, please sign your talk page posts. GiantSnowman 13:13, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So you started off complaining that I removed too much, now you complain that I didn't remove enough? Please make your mind up. Adding sources

[edit]

Hello, and thank you for trying to improve Wikipedia's coverage of Greek football. When you make changes, particularly where living people are concerned, such as the edit you recently made at AE Larissa FC to update the club's staff, please will you also add a reference to a reliable published source, like the relevant page on a newspaper site or the club's website, to verify the information. That's how the reader can tell that the information is true, and not just something someone's made up. Thanks, Struway2 (talk) 12:24, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited AE Larissa FC, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kalochori. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Edit warring warning

[edit]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at AE Larissa FC shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Nonfree images may be used only in accordance with WP:NFCC, which requires a valid, article-specific use rationale. Nonfree images may be used only when their use enhances under standing of the text. In both cases, the images you are adding back are used only to illustrate the point that the individuals pictured have died -- an unhappy fact that is more than adequately conveyed by text alone. Moreover, the use rationales for both images state that the images are to be used only for identification in the infoboxes (or equivalent) of the player biographies, and an article about the club is plainly not a player biography. Continuing to violate the policy regarding use of nonfree images risks suspension or loss of your editing privileges. ⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Dimitrios Koukoulitsios - Dimitrios Mousiaris.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:30, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Giorgos Mitsibonas.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Giorgos Mitsibonas.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. If the source on the Georgios Fotakis article confirms that he was going to sign, but didn't actually, then you need to change the content to reflect that, simply deleting the reference completely is not acceptable. GiantSnowman 13:08, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:AELFCARENA1.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. Notice

The article Patryk Aleksandrowicz has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (biographies) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant English-language coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Patryk Aleksandrowicz for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Patryk Aleksandrowicz is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Patryk Aleksandrowicz until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:06, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
