[edit]

Hello, Tryptofeng, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We're glad to have you in our community! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

Happy Wiki-ing!

List of chinese films

[edit]

HI please can you put the CHinese films in the tables in the format of List of Hong Kong films. I am going to work on the Hong Kong list now. THanks ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "I've been expecting you" 16:12, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent progess. THankyou ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "I've been expecting you" 17:55, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also created this template as with standard of other countries -it is for all Chinese cinema articles.

Hope you like it ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "I've been expecting you" 17:59, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Superb work on the Chinese film so far Well done! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "I've been expecting you" 20:49, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know the entire list of CHinese film A-Z is located at Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/List of films without article/List of missing Chinese Films. Gving a hand I plan to add all these films to the List of Chinese films. I would love to see full complete lists but it will require some work - eevneutally this will be done by country . Feel free to add in some titles. THanks ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" "SPECTRE" 15:27, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hong Kong films

[edit]

Please can you help add the films and details in Category:Hong Kong films to the lists. It is ridiculous that the lists didn't even have Way of the Dragon or Enter the Dragon. Why has nobody helped them? I've begun gradually adding titles from Z working backwards. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you?" Contribs 11:00, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blood Brothers (2007 film)

[edit]

Hi Tryptofeng. You are off to such a great start on the article Blood Brothers (2007 film) that it may qualify to appear on Wikipedia's Main Page under the Did you know... section. The Main Page gets about 4,000,000 hits per day and appearing on the Main Page may help bring publicity and assistance to the article. However, there is a five day from article creation window for Did you know... nominations. Before five days pass from the date the article was created and if you haven't already done so, please consider nominating the article to appear on the Main Page by posting a nomination at Did you know suggestions. If you do nominate the article for DYK, please cross out the article name on the "Good" articles proposed by bot list. Also, don't forget to keep checking back at Did you know suggestions for comments regarding your nomination. Again, great job on the article. -- JayHenry 21:30, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey fellow Wikipedian! Your username is listed on the WikiProject Films participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Little Red Flowers poster.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Little Red Flowers poster.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:27, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quick request

[edit]

In the future, if you could use {{Film}} instead of {{FilmsWikiProject}}, I'd be very grateful. Although the latter one automatically redirects to the former, it has been deprecated, and we're trying to phase out its usage as task force tagging slowly occurs over the next year or so. Knowing that it's not being added to new articles would put me greatly at ease. Thanks! Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 04:10, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Amazon.com

[edit]

You said: "(Clean-up with templates and categories; unnecessary to reference plot description; amazon.com not an appropriate reference)"

On the contrary, Amazon.com is more than appropriate to show that the film in question is being given a wide distribution. The intent is not to source the plot (we know what the plot's unstated source it) - the point is to show that the work is notable. WhisperToMe (talk) 08:33, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 20:17, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi Trypofeng. Appreciate your effort into Chinese films.

I've made some additions on the Cinema in China article, but my language is just ~ bad. My English is not idiomatic - please feel free to improve it stylistically or add facts.

Please merge your Sandbox write-up on Two Stage Sisters to the main article. Your write-up is better phrased than what's presently there (primary my work).

Please feel free to contact me on anything to do with Chinese films, or if I can I can look up references for you (although I won't be on Wikipedia every day, maybe once a week). :) DORC (talk) 22:04, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, a friend of mine (who shared my username and whom I will surely bar from using it after this :( ) wants me to remind you that Romance on Lushan Mountains should be rephrased Romance on Lu Mountains. Lushan Mountains is repetition (shan = mountains). :) DORC (talk) 22:12, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Letter with Feather.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Letter with Feather.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. The article Sparkling Red Star (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Disambiguation page not needed per WP:TWODABS. One of the articles listed was also proposed for deletion.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
