Evenhandedness

[edit]

I too found this even-handedness is a bit insulting. I thought you handled yourself appropriately. Still, El_C one of our better admins and I will defer to his wisdom. - Ret.Prof (talk) 16:00, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Toxic, or better not?

[edit]

The discussion of the word "toxic" has to do with the ban of Fram that the WMF (where the ban came from) said in their statement (Wikipedia:Community response to the Wikimedia Foundation's ban of Fram/Official statements#Board statement): "Almost three years ago, the board published a strong statement against toxic behaviors and directed the Wikimedia Foundation teams to work to make Wikimedia communities safer for all good faith editors." - The whole thing, - ban and protest - rest on this approach. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:16, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I understand, but it still seems pretty removed from the alleged purpose of that page. At the very least it should go on the talk page.—Chowbok 22:22, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitration proposed decision comment removed

[edit]

I have removed this comment for not complying with our civility requirements for participation in an arbitration proceeding. Please note that the notice at the top of the page you edited states:

Behaviour on this page: Arbitration case pages exist to assist the Arbitration Committee in arriving at a fair, well-informed decision. You are required to act with appropriate decorum during this case. While grievances must often be aired during a case, you are expected to air them without being rude or hostile, and to respond calmly to allegations against you. Accusations of misbehaviour posted in this case must be proven with clear evidence (and otherwise not made at all). Editors who conduct themselves inappropriately during a case may be sanctioned by an arbitrator, clerk, or functionary, without further warning, by being banned from further participation in the case, or being blocked altogether. Personal attacks against other users, including arbitrators or the clerks, will be met with sanctions. Behavior during a case may also be considered by the committee in arriving at a final decision.

Please consider, before making future comments, whether they comply with these standards. Best, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 04:53, 6 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Slam Bradley's debut in Detective Comics 1 (March 1937).png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Slam Bradley's debut in Detective Comics 1 (March 1937).png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:49, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Wikipedians interested in a fork requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! The article Show'N Tell has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.
