User talk:Trish at Wings for Life World Run
I am a freelance writer/editor who is paid by the Wings for Life World Run, and this is my first involvement with the Wikipedia editing process. I would like to edit, or suggest edits, to the Wings for Life World Run page at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wings_for_Life_World_Run
These edits are intended to: 1) clean up incorrect grammar/awkward usage and provide a more encyclopedic tone in alignment with Wikipedia's standards 2) correct existing factual errors 3) update/clarify certain facts that are correct only when provided in reference to a particular time period
I formerly wrote for Encyclopaedia Britannica, so I am sensitive to the need to keep the text neutral and factual. My understanding is that it would be permissible for me to go ahead and fix small, blatant grammar problems; but because of my conflict of interest, I am hesitant to do so without authorization.
So in short, I would appreciate: - confirmation that fixing small grammar problems on my own is acceptable - guidance on how to request edits for larger problems in the text
Many thanks in advance.

- Trish, thanks for disclosing your affiliation first. In general, the guidelines WP:COI and WP:PAID are pretty clear that you shouldn't be editing the article directly. Instead, you can use the template {{request edit}} at the article's talk page Talk:Wings for Life World Run. Simple grammar edits should be uncontroversial, detailed edits should include references to reliable sources and be from a neutral point of view as you alluded to above. If you have any other questions, you can reply here with {{Ping|Shoy}} or use the {{help me}} template. That will get someone's attention directly. Thanks, shoy (reactions) 14:27, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
@Shoy: Thank you for the very quick response! I will do my best. Trish at Wings for Life World Run (talk) 14:33, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
