Speedy deletion nomination of File:Chris Philp.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Chris Philp.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Addiscombe East (ward) into Ashburton (former Croydon ward). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:53, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
Ward articles
[edit]Thanks for creating the articles on ward in Croydon. Just a couple of tips for such articles:
- References go after punctuation (so the ref tags should be after a full stop or comma)
- Dates must be formatted as "3 May 2018" not "May 3rd 2018"
- Articles should be added to Category:Wards of the London Borough of Croydon (I noticed that in some cases you had tried to do this, but had included a colon, which means it appears as a link rather than adding an article to a category).
- The subject name should generally be bolded in the first sentence.
- Please tag the article's talk pages with relevant WikiProject tags (WikiProject Elections and Referendums and WikiProject UK Politics for a start)
I've fixed some of the issues in the Waddon article in this edit, but it would be really appreciated if you could correct all the other ones, as someone will have to do it at some point. Cheers, Number 57 15:25, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
- Also, the Waddon article contains contradictory information – in the infobox it states the ward was established in 1964, but the text suggests it was formed this year. Number 57 15:25, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
- In addition, please don't add the word "former" to titles unless there is a current ward by the same name – this is unnecessary disambiguation. You also forgot to put some of the recently created articles in the category! Cheers, Number 57 22:02, 4 June 2018 (UTC)

[edit]The article Jason Perry (politician) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable politician
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ralbegen (talk) 13:03, 19 January 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Croydon West (UK Parliament constituency), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page West Croydon. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:07, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
