License tagging for File:Watchmen-minutemen-img.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Watchmen-minutemen-img.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:07, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
Watchmen character list
No, we only include information if it is backed up by reliable sources, particularly when it comes to fictional characters. see Wikipedia:Writing about fiction. WesleyDodds (talk) 18:32, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
- "Under the Hood" doesn't count because it's part of the story, meaning it's a primary source. Plus it's fiction. See the section on the Comedian in the article for an example of the kind of detail and sources we need. WesleyDodds (talk) 21:46, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
- The other character pages were turned into redirects because there isn't enough secondary source information on them (for example in the dozens of books and articles I read, that paragraph about Silk Spectre is the only reference material that could be found). Rorschach stayed separate because he's by far the most written-about character by sources. WesleyDodds (talk) 20:36, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

re: Power Rings
Off the top?
- You're copying, in full, the reference page of the #0 issue into the article. This amounts to a copyright violation, not hair use.
- Aside from the GL one, all of them Corps image were over sized as placed.
- The images that are currently there are singular or tight examples for the sections. With 5 of the character design examples coming from the same panel.
- J Greb (talk) 02:45, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- (Was typing and didn't see you note pop up on my talk page about the source.)
- I'm fully aware of where they came from. And that they are profile pages just like the Secret Files or Who's Who. Things we don't cannibalize for images. - J Greb (talk) 02:49, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, all of the profile pages would fail fair use since it would be appropriating an image created to be used for a reference source and placing it into a competing reference source. Which is the nutshell of Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics/copyright#Images which cannot be "fair use" which is based on WP:NFCC#2. - J Greb (talk) 03:03, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Black corps.JPG)
Thanks for uploading File:Black corps.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 18:04, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Thor sandbox
Great idea for the sandbox. Hope you don't mind the little tweaks I made - modeled after X2, a good article. As I don't know the Thor series, I can't write a description of the character that can fit in one sentence, so I didn't do it. -- A talk/contribs 20:31, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

The Green Lantern
Hello, I'm not sure if you were the user who nominated The Green Lantern for speedy deletion. I am assuming so because of your posts on my talk page. But I do find it distasteful that the article was deleted so quickly. It seems as though it was deleted within..... 10 minutes? That is if I'm reading my User talk page correctly. I'm especially displeased because if I had been given the chance to respond I would have pointed out that the film is very notable not just because of who is involved in the film, but the fact that the film itself is a "comic book/superhero film" which as you probably know are mostly among the most watched and highest grossing films of all-time. I'd like to put forth effort in getting the article reinstated. Thank you. The Filmaker (talk) 17:53, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Sotomayor image
Doesn't really matter, as I am the uploader of both images anyway, but I do not understand your statement in saying "previous image of her nomination is more current than her circuit court," when there is simply a difference of four days in the time the two pictures were taken; the picture of her in robes on May 22, the nomination photo on May 26. Does a difference of four days really matter that much? Thanks. Gage (talk) 16:22, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Red Dawn (2010 film)
A tag has been placed on Red Dawn (2010 film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Tad Lincoln (talk) 19:08, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Red Dawn
If you are working on the article, please add an "under construction" tag. Also, please sign your name when you leave a message. Tad Lincoln (talk) 19:12, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- P.S. I never said that the article was "vandalism". I marked it for deletion because there was literally nothing in the article (lack of content). Tad Lincoln (talk) 19:14, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- I just added a construction tag for you, and also created an actual reference section, but you seem to have made a mistake with your first reference. Tad Lincoln (talk) 19:23, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. Tad Lincoln (talk) 19:25, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Thor's family tree
Good work! Is there any way you can fix it so that it doesn't run so wide on the page? BOZ (talk) 22:48, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Anthony Hopkins
As much as I detest the premature addition of an actor to a role, Variety clearly says "Anthony Hopkins has been set to star in "Thor," the Marvel Studios production that begins production in January" and the BBC says "Sir Anthony Hopkins has joined the cast of Thor, Kenneth Branagh's film version of the Marvel comic book, according to industry paper Variety." The Hollywood Reporter blog waffles on its wording - the title says "Anthony Hopkins to play Thor's father, Odin", at the end of the article it says "Thor marks Hopkins’ first gig since signing with UTA a month ago" and then it also says "Anthony Hopkins is in negotiations to play the Norse god Odin in “Thor”". They waffle. Myriad other sources also confirm his signing [1] [2] [3]. I take Varietyannouncements on October 30 as a far more definite source than The Hollywood Reporter on October 29. Wildhartlivie (talk) 01:27, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, I'm not keen on jumping in where I don't usually edit, so I didn't want to weigh in on the Thor page. I just thought I'd tell you what my impressions were. Perhaps the story was more definitely confirmed as the day or two wore on. Wildhartlivie (talk) 02:53, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Asgardian RFC/U
Hi there. I was wondering if you would help me finish up the RFC/U regarding User:Asgardian. I'm going to put the RFC into place before the end of the year, so it would really be great if you could provide any help you are able to give. What I need most are diffs displaying the disputed behavior. I have some already here, but could use some more. I mean just a list of diffs to put in the first five or so categories I listed there, as I already have more than enough illustrative examples. Anything that you think is edit warring (mutiple similar edits to the same article in the span of a few days), incivility, inaccurate edit summaries, or other similar behavioral problems. List them on the RFCU talk page - just the diffs is all I need, because I want people reading the RFC to be able to draw their own conclusions.
Also, I have come up with a desired outcome and a description of the case based on the comments that have been gathered, and I would appreciate any responses to that on the talk page.
Thanks! BOZ (talk) 05:55, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi there,
I'm just letting you know that the Asgardian RFC/U has begun.
If you like, you may post an "Outside view" below Asgardian's response section, detailing your own feelings on the matter. Likewise, you may endorse the main statement, Asgardian's response, or any other view posted on the page.
Thank you for your participation. BOZ (talk) 00:53, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hey there, last time I'll bother you. :) Just wanted to remind you that the Asgardian RFC is up and running, and has had a few different viewpoints posted for public consumption. If you wish, you may endorse one or more of these, as well as the main statement or Asgardian's response (not yet posted), and/or you may add your own viewpoint as mentioned above. Thanks, and happy editing. :) BOZ (talk) 13:51, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks - I'll try to keep an eye on the situation at Thor (Marvel Comics). BOZ (talk) 16:05, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
