Thank you Timtrent for the warm cookies and the empathy regarding the disappointment I'm feeling for my submission being declined. Prior to submission, I had reviewed many of the links you had provided. To establish the format and style and what types of valid headings and information to include, I'd also done an extensive review of existing Wikipedia pages of other public access television stations and of other nonprofit organizations in the station's locale. I would appreciate help in making changes that will meet the bar for publication. I will try to navigate "The Teahouse" and the Main Help Desk, and the Articles for Creation Help Desk. If you have any further guidance, please share. Thank you. Totallyred78 (talk) 19:50, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tim - a few quick questions - I just sent a response/rebuttal/request for help to the Articles for Creation/Help Desk. Please excuse my ignorance - is this the same as the Main Help Desk? Should I submit the same response/rebuttal/request for help to The Teahouse" or would that be negative? Is there some way to track when I'd get a response to my questions - like when submitting and article I knew it could take "as long as 4 months" and I could see it in a queue. Does resubmission, restart the clock or is it a shorter (hopefully) process. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge. Totallyred78 (talk) 21:55, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Star Mississippi. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. IMDB, geni.com are not reliable sources and may not be used to support controversial information Star Mississippi 19:49, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Star Mississippi - I'm just beginning with Wikipedia and I didn't realize that IMDB in particular was not considered a reliable source. Would you please point me to a list of sources that are known to not be reliable? Thank you. Totallyred78 (talk) 19:56, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. It's probably easier to have a look at WP:REFB and WP:SIRS to see the kind of sources that we need, in terms of depth and quality. Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Perennial_sources#Legend shows how to distinguish between some of the sources. Is that helpful @Totallyred78? Star Mississippi 20:05, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
