re:RHCP

[edit]

Hello. I have reverted the pop rock genre a lot of times. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are not pop rock. I consider By The Way and Stadium Arcadium regular rock albums. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are influenced by pop rock, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are. If you want, you may put in the second paragraph in the article "... are influenced by pop rock", unless you are done it already. I'm sorry, but labeling the Red Hot Chili Peppers pop rock is like, calling Korn or Disturbed punk. WereWolf 14:09, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Swedish football seasons

[edit]

Hi! Thanks for helping getting some of the Seasons in Swedish football articles up to standard! Hope you didn't mind when I "corrected" (or rather standardised) your early contributions. I see you've changed to the style I've used so far and I'm glad for that! Keep editing and good luck! Even though you've got the wrong favourite team :P – Elisson • T • C • 16:36, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for these kind words! I didn't mind your correction at all, I want the articles to be in the best shape possible, so it was a welcome correction. That's also why I use your style, it's the best standard I've seen here on Wikipedia. Keep up the good work! //Tooga 17:04, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BSSM sales

[edit]

there isn't source.. for sales there isn't official source..but for all albums..for all artisti. Labels inflated sales, fans inflated sales, music magazine inflated sales, tv inflate sales ecc.. the only one good think to make is honestly try to estimated with most source we have. BSSM sold more than 7m in US (RIAA)..2,7m in Europe (the source is a project of a chartsite) so already 9,7m. the album do really good also in Oceania, canada and other countries so estimated sales at 12m is if no right almost..and more right at possible. I spent a lot of time in last years in charts and sales forums and i make also some projects about it, the sales data i write on discography page are all more honest/reliable/no-inflated than possible. I hate all fans than increase their sales and write faked and total unsourced data..in past i fought for write 9m for By The Way when all say "10m"..but for real it sold at maximun 9 millions. Zagozagozago

Hmm, ok. I guess I'll leave it as it is then. But there is one thing that troubles me, it's not that I don't trust you, but don't you think that's bit of Original research? Tooga 14:52, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Track name discrepancy

[edit]

Hmm, is the track "You Always Sing The Same"/"You Always Sing" listed differently on the back cover of different editions? On my edition it's listed as the latter, while you claim it's listed as the former. I'm looking at CDP 79 0616 2. What edition do you have? (BTW, the official website is irrelevant in this case, as the track name the album was released with should be used, regardless of whether the website currently uses a different name.) --PEJL 12:29, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have a copy of the 2003 remastering. I can't find any edition numbers that resembles those you wrote, so I don't know which edition I have. If you're thinking about the serial number, then it's 72435-40380-2-0. My edition clearly states "You Always Sing The Same" on the back cover, but if it was originally released as "You Always Sing" then it I agree that it should be kept that way. Cheers Tooga - BØRK! 13:06, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm looking at a pre-remaster, likely identical to the original release. I'll revert the track name, and leave a note about the name change. --PEJL 13:31, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ice hockey players' diacritics

[edit]

The edit to Detroit Red Wings made here has been reverted. While the exact non-English spelling and diacritics are appropriate on the individual player article pages, they are not to be used in general context, such has team pages. Please see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (ice hockey) and its associated pages for rationale. Thanks. — MrDolomite • Talk 19:43, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unless I'm mistaken, "Me & My Friends" is the correct title of the song. Why does it require a move? CloudNine 16:40, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Malmö FF - Edit

(Undid revision 203836171 by Anthony040 (talk) Because of WP:NOT#NEWS) Alright, I can live with that. But you will have to go to EVERY soccer team's Wikipedia page and remove the "Transfers" section there, to keep it fair. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anthony040 (talkcontribs) 22:54, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Allsvenskan players articles

[edit]

Are currently seeing if i can get unsourced Allsvenskan players articels deleted, i do this after i for some time put up tage about improvment in hope that they would recive sources and references, however this have not happend and im now following wikipedia guide lines regarding biographical articles, i am saying this i know of your work with Djurgårdens IF, and i which to see as many articels as possibal regarding swedish football, so that you can source atleast the DIF players and prevent them from deletion if comes to that.

Also regarding your deletion of transfers in and out on club articels, i agree that they should not be in the club articel, but you can also tip people that they should create pages like Chelsea F.C. season 2008-09 instead. --> Halmstad, Talk to me 23:52, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Motto of the day

[edit]

Hello, I notice you're using one of the {{motd}} templates, run by Wikipedia:Motto of the day. You may have noticed that some of the mottos recently have been followed by a date from 2006, or on occasion simply "Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia". The reason for this is that Motto of the day is in some very serious need of help. Participation in the project, which has never been especially high, has dropped considerably over this past summer, to the point we have had several days where no motto was scheduled to appear at all. Over the past several weeks, I've been the only editor scheduling mottos at all, but there aren't enough comments on some of these mottos to justify their use. If we do not get some help - and soon - your daily mottos will stop. In order for us to continue updating these templates for you, we need your help.

When you get a chance between your normal editing, could you stop by our nominations page and leave a few comments on some of the mottos there, especially those that do not have any comments yet? This works very simply; you read a motto, decide whether or not you like it, and post your opinion just below the motto. That's it - no experience required, just an idea of what you personally like and what you feel reflects Wikipedia and its community. If you do have past experience with the project, then please close some of the older nominations once they've got a decent consensus going. There are directions on the nominations page on how to do this.

If you have any questions, please let me know, or post on the project's talk page. I'm looking forward to reading your comments on the suggested mottos, and any additional suggestions you'd like to make. Until then, happy editing! Hersfold (t/a/c) 01:45, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I was wondering if you might be able to help me. I've been working on this article for a while now, and it's getting quite close to GA status. I was wondering if you would be able to have a quick look for things that could be added to the personal life section. The problem is that any sources for it would be in Swedish, and I have very little knowledge of the language. Things I'm looking for are, for instance, interests outside football, marital status, family, those sorts of things, but obviously only if there are sources. Sorry if this is a bit direct but I noticed you've edited on the article so I guessed you may be interested. BeL1EveR (talk) 18:28, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the help. I guess it would be a good idea to double check the article against this source. http://fotbollskanalen.se/1.441194 I'm reasonably sure it's accurate but I hope I haven't misinterpreted it. I'm very interested about this article as well. http://www.fotbollsexpressen.se/Allsvenskan/1.1280480/jesper-blomqvist-jag-blev-mordhotad Firstly whether the Swedish wikipedia would consider it a good source (if not, if there is an equivalent reliable source with the same information). Either way it's pretty strongly worded so I want to be sure I'm quoting it properly before I use it. Finally, if you were able to find a source with some basic background info it would be very helpful. I had a quick check and couldn't find any non-football biography type information (typed "Jesper Blomqvist privatliv" and "Jesper Blomqvist biografier" into google.se), but if you can think of any good swedish sites which have information on athletes there might be something I've missed. If not there should be enough for a good article nomination, I just think it needs a bit more to make it a better all round biography article. BeL1EveR (talk) 01:27, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'll probably leave "death threats" out then, we have a couple of similarly dodgy news organisations in England who like to exaggerate. It's amazing that he's that unpopular though, in England even if you play for two big rivals you still get a reasonable reception if you did well when you were there. One Manchester United legend is still considered one of the club's greatest ever players, even though he scored the goal that relegated the club whilst playing for fierce rivals Manchester City.
Thanks a lot for the help, I knew that a lot of personal information was a longshot, but you've helped make sure the article is accurate, given me more background on the source I wasn't sure on, and provided something that I never would have found otherwise. That's what wiki's all about. Much appreciated! BeL1EveR (talk) 20:10, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I been a little busy and forgot about it. But great work, everything looks good. I'm not sure if I will be photographing in Elitserien next season, but Djurgården comes to town during the Nordic Trophy so maybe I can fix something then. Also the article is eligible for DYK, try getting it on the main page! :) —Krm500 (Communicate!) 22:42, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, my computer decided this was an opportune time to crash, which sucks like hell. It's just fixed for the moment, and I'll have very limited access to the internet during the next week. And from what I can see, it's too late to nominate the article for DYK. I might be wrong though? I'll remember DYK the next time I expand/create an article.
