Hi Thorri, I've reverted your edits to Uusimaa. What exactly were you trying to do with it? - ulayiti (talk) 20:39, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I thought that we should have the article about Uusimaa under the name Uusimaa, not Uusimaa (region), and that the disambiguation page should be, appropriately, Uusimaa (disambiguation). I have a special interest on this subject because I live in Uusimaa. So it's a native's thing.
But, alas, I didn't have the time to do the article. The Finnish version of the article is under the name Uusimaa and I don't know who the heck decided to make Uusimaa as the disambiguation page, since there is only one Uusimaa (!). It doesn't make sense! Besides, the historical province is called Nylandia.
I hope I made my point clear to you. --Thorri 11:00 10 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Deletion of 'liberal wikipedians' category

[edit]

Hi. I saw you're (like me) listed in this category which is up for deletion. Hoped you'd like to vote in favor of keeping it... Thanks! Larix 02:19, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

OK, you tagged my bio on John Lesesne DeWitt, but you did not leave any specifics on what you wanted cleaned up. If you are going to tag articles, you should be diligent enough to say what it is that needs fixing.

Transportation in NYC

[edit]

Hello Thorri - I notice you've done work on the New York City article. The Transportation in New York City sub article has really come along and has been nominated to be a US Collaboration of the Week. Check it out and if you like it, please vote for it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:USCOTW We need all the votes we can get! Wv235 04:00, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Joo toi Uusimaa kuuluu kyl Wikipedia:Requested movesiin eikä tonne afd:hen.

:-/ --Thorri 14:27, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Thorri, I just saw your recent edits at the Enigma disambig page a while ago. Just to let you know, according to Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages), it states that wikilinked entries should not be masked. In addition, italics are not needed in some cases, please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (titles) for more info. So, that means your edits has to be reverted. Sorry about that... =\ --Andylkl [ talk! | c ] 12:41, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mariehamnvaakuna.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, contact Carnildo.

I'm calling out a posse, to fight for freedom of choice, to fight all those who think that only their opinion's right, template:user fsm was speedy deleted by an administrator without any cause or even discussion, I'm therefore putting it up for undeletion since people have put a jihad out against opinions in userboxes. As you were one of many people using the template, I'm trying to rally you into the posse. If you think the template should be returned to active status, put in a vote at Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Userbox_debates#template:user_fsm. Janizary 04:26, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging for Image:Kokar.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kokar.jpg. However, the copyright tag you've used is deprecated or obsolete, and should not be used. This could be because the tag is inaccurate or misleading, or because it does not adequately specify the copyright status of the image. For a list of copyright tags that are in current use, see the "Public domain", "Free license", and "Fair use" sections of Wikipedia:Image copyright tags.

License tagging for Image:Alandsmunicipalities.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Alandsmunicipalities.png. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:05, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

The image is a duplicate of Image:Alandmunicipalities.png. I was hoping it would get deleted by one way or another. --TonyM キタ━( °∀° )━ッ!! 22:10, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kymi river

[edit]

I deleted the article because it was a redirect to a non-existent article and thus qualified for speedy deletion under section R1. If the article had any content I would not have deleted it. I hope that the article gets created some day so that I, and others, may learn where the river is located. Take care Joelito (talk) 14:57, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
