Hey

Happy belated birthday; I'm sorry I couldn't wish you on time. The Wikipedian Penguin 19:01, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

@Wikipedian Penguin: Thank you so much buddy! Where Have You Been? :P Thanks for the c/e on GGGB. Cheers! — Tomíca(T2ME) 20:44, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
Tomica, I don't know how you find the time to edit Wikipedia as a student. I can't handle it! The Wikipedian Penguin 21:04, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
@Wikipedian Penguin: Haha, I guess there are differences in what are you studying! :P How is uni? Pretty hard ha? — Tomíca(T2ME) 21:26, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
Actually, I'm in my last year of high school (Class of 2015!!). But I'm talking intro psychology in university right now, and doing AP in high school, so it's a lot of work. Our psychology class size is around 200 and we've had two midterms since September; my final is in less than a month, so I've been grinding. Meanwhile, in high school, I've been writing papers, essays (en français et/and in English) and solving derivatives lol. Needless to say, writing another FA is the last thing on my mind right now. ;-) The Wikipedian Penguin 00:56, 20 November 2014 (UTC)

A HUGE favour to ask

First of all thanks for the redirect to #R8; I was going to redirect it myself as I realised I left Lost Files in the part and also I would like to ask you this; how can I upload an alternative photo to an article; you know how Talk That Talk has the standard up close photo of Rihanna in the green/white dress with her hand on her head and her tongue out and then we have the black and white photo of her puffing smoke, how can I upload the Japanese special edition of Music of the Sun, the European 2 disc deluxe edition of A Girl like Me or the special 2 disc edition of Good Girl Gone Bad (it's a photo of Rihanna in a white dress with half of the photo in pink and the other in black); can you please help me out on this, I'll be very grateful too Rihanna-RiRi-fan (talk) 20:46, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

I don't advice you to upload those covers, because they were not notable enough. Talk That Talk is an exception because the covers are totally different and both cover were used, and maybe the deluxe was more popular than the standard overall. That's the reason we have them both. — Tomíca(T2ME) 20:50, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
Oh yeah, on the Loud Tour DVD she showed the clip of her choosing them; what about Pon de Replay or If It's Lovin' that You Want there are two different artworks for both singles; Pon de Reply has the standard head shot and there's one that looks like they took the photo whilst shooting the video; however on If It's Lovin' theres the normal white background close-up of Rihanna's face and then there's the one that looks like she's at the beach; http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=if%20it's%20lovin'%20that%20you%20want that's the link to it; it shows the second one first. Good Girl Gone Bad

Let's pass Discogs... But other ones (especially Walmart itself) are quite reliable. Why in the hell did you remove them? I could re-add them just in 2 minutes but I wanted to ask you why try to chenge everyting on the page. Just because you saw Discogs, doesn't mean you delete all. Let's see how you make your explanation which is backed with some odd rules which is not mentioned as I did not see before. Or anyone else didn't not touch because they didn't only target Discogs on that freaking list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dkisnis (talkcontribs) 13:31, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Justin Timberlake discog

rude. Just trying to help, wasn't trying to sabotage your featured list.LADY LOTUSTALK 18:13, 2 December 2014 (UTC)

Regarding my former experience with you on Wikipedia, I rather don't want your help. — Tomíca(T2ME) 18:15, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
Wow, whatever happened to believing in good faith? LADY LOTUSTALK 18:18, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
Honestly, I believed in the good faith of this edit. However, trying to ruin certain of the filmographies I worked on earlier was not such a good faith I had with you, so all in all, I expressed my thoughts about your behavior above. — Tomíca(T2ME)
You may think I was trying to "ruin" those filmographies, but that couldn't be further from the truth. We saw things differently and I accepted that. Looking at it now, I think those things for a featured list or article are perfectly acceptable and think it was wrong to remove. Sorry there has to be bad blood between us. LADY LOTUSTALK 18:24, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for clarifying the things. Okay, honestly I am sorry I was a dick on the edit response :D. I hope you gonna accept the apology. The proper answer for where the template should be placed you can find here. All the best. — Tomíca(T2ME) 18:27, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
Lol, I do accept that and thanking you for pointing out where the template goes, good to know :) LADY LOTUSTALK 18:32, 2 December 2014 (UTC)

WikiCup 2015 is just around the corner...

Hello everyone, and may we wish you all a happy holiday season. As you will probably already know, the 2015 WikiCup begins in the new year; there is still time to sign up. We have a few important announcements concerning the future of the WikiCup.

  • We would like to announce that Josh (J Milburn) and Ed (The ed17), who have been WikiCup judges since 2009 and 2010 respectively, are stepping down. This decision has been made for a number of reasons, but the main one is time. Both Josh and Ed have found that, over the previous year, they have been unable to devote the time necessary to the WikiCup, and it is not likely that they will be able to do this in the near future. Furthermore, new people at the helm can only help to invigorate the WikiCup and keep it dynamic. Josh and Ed will still be around, and will likely be participating in the Cup this following year as competitors, which is where both started out.
  • In a similar vein, we hope you will all join us in welcoming Jason (Sturmvogel 66) and Christine (Figureskatingfan), who are joining Brian (Miyagawa) to form the 2015 WikiCup judging team. Jason is a WikiCup veteran, having won in 2010 and finishing in fifth this year. Christine has participated in two WikiCups, reaching the semi-finals in both, and is responsible for the GA Cup, which she now co-runs.
  • The discussions/polls concerning the next competition's rules will be closed soon, and rules changes will be made clear on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring and talk pages. While it may be impossible to please everyone, the judges will make every effort to ensure that the new rules are both fair and in the best interests of the competition, which is, first and foremost, about improving Wikipedia.

If you have any questions or concerns, the judges can be reached on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, on their talk pages, or by email. We hope you will all join us in trying to make the 2015 WikiCup the most productive and enjoyable yet. You are receiving this message because you are listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Adiós (Ricky Martin song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Digital download. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Diamonds

I understand your concerns about Diamonds (Rihanna song) article. This is after all one of the featured articles and do understand your concerns. Of course, we do need references and all for all additions owing to the featured article status, and I will try my best to add references for every fact I have added. But the Salvat version of "Diamonds" is highly significant as it gave a whole new life to the original Rihanna track. Probably by "imported" item you mean this is a non-American version, meaning imported to the States. For the September 19 release date online, it was done by Sony Music Entertainment none other See https://itunesvn.com/38918-josef-salvat-diamonds-itunes-plus-aac-m4a-single-2014.html and has a different cover art http://www.endocrine-cancer-center.com/2014/11/josef-salvat-diamonds-itunes-plus-aac.html It was also released on Columbia Records the same day September 19, 2014 (ref Columbia GBARL1401157). The song charted also in the UK a fact I had ignord before. Now it's added to the charts history. This increases the version's significance and notability.. See: http://www.officialcharts.com/artist/_/josef%20salvat/ fro UK position. That's why I said Columbia (Sony) in the infobox as well after. The actual CD was released by RCA (ref RCA 88875058452 (Sony) ) It is only natural that songs now have 2 release dates, one online and usually a little bit later the actual physical CD. But if absolutely one date has to be maintained as you confirm, then it should be September 19, 2014 and I have amended the edit so that one date appeared in the infobox.

The Salvat song has had its own offshoots which I didn't include as I considered as non-notable. But check for interest the single "Diamonds: Tribute to Josef Salvat" at https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/diamonds-tribute-to-josef/id944969505 This was released by Sammy Taylor on Nov 24, 2014 on DTT Records.

The live Josef Salvat version which I dedicate to you is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDEoC3Xr-fY . I also dedicate to you as well the fabulous Sony ad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_DT-mg_3IA It is very strange they didn't opt for the Rihanna version though and used Josef Salvat... Probably because of the unique characteristic of the Salvat version and there decision created all this extra interest in the song. I will work to add as many references as possible in everything I have added. I absolutely believe Salvat version will also chart in the Hot 100 USA Billboard Chart soon... werldwayd (talk) 19:12, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

  • @Werldwayd: All the sources for the release that you pointed are not reliable. Sony and RCA work together so there is no need for pointing in the infobox which label released which version you should just write them. I hope it charts in the US, although I hardly believe the song will beat Rihanna's version. I have heard the song and it's not much different than the original. I guess they used his versions cause basically was free lol Sony label didn't pay Sony for sure! And if they wanted to use Rihanna's they would have to pay a well amount of money to Def Jam since it's released on that label. And be free to add whatever you think just be sure you use reliable sources. I will maintain all the edits. Cheers! — Tomíca(T2ME) 19:17, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
    • Thanks for your comments. But feel free to make amendments to the new section I don't mind and don't want to jeopardize the featured article status of "Diamonds". If anything needs to be removed, feel free to do so. I don't mind really. By the way, it is a great achievement to have an article featured for a day as despite my many edits, I have never ever had a single article that received the featured status. werldwayd (talk) 19:34, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
