Welcome to WikiProject Digimon Systems Update
[edit]Thanks for joining the Digimon Systems Update WikiProject!
Basically, being apart of a WP:DIGI means you'll help organize, expand, clean up, and guide Digimon related articles on Wikipedia. You can also help create guidelines and discuss issues about Digimon-related articles. If you're new, don't be afraid about making mistakes, Wikipedia has a lot to take in. Just use common sense and you'll usually be fine.
If you are unsure about something you can always make a note on an article's talk page (the link for each article's talk page is next to the edit this page link, labeled discussion) for asking for help or even just asking for other people's suggestions and feedback.
Remember to not violate copyrights, such as cutting and pasting exact info from other Digimon websites isn't allowed. (You can still use the information, just rewritten.) Cite ALL information you add (where your information came from, such as an anime episode appearance, manga volume, card game info, etc). And remember that Wikipedia isn't a fan-site; the articles should contain information that is useful and interesting to those who have not seen the shows or played the card games.
Again, welcome to the WikiProject. Check out the links on the Project page and familiarize yourself with the guidelines and advice we have so far, and definitely check out the talk page and get involved there as well, with opinions and any ideas you have. Make sure you add the project page and the to do list to your watchlist so you can keep up to date with the Project. -- Ned Scott 06:59, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Re:Re:Birthdate
[edit]Hi Tohru Honda13,
What a coincidence! I am born in 1993, too. So, why don't you join the Wikipedia Youth Foundation? It's a foundation with all kids from 6-17 years of age.
It is a pity that you can't join my WP:GHR. Oh, well.
And last of all, best wishes for the new year 2007!

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
[edit]SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.

- Hey thanks for reverting vandalism to the Rock and Roll article! Cheers! — Arjun 02:20, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hey it is me again :D I have a little bit of a suggestion. I think that you should start warning vandals more often. As they need to know that there actions are not going to be tolerated for a long period of time. For the first place {{subst:test1}}. And for the second replace 1 with 2 and so on and etc. Cheers! — Arjun 02:40, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Frequent
[edit]- Frequent can be used as a verb, and was done so properly in the article (see the Wiktionary entry), but in the interests of better understanding by more people, I think your change is good. Danny Lilithborne 01:34, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

- Hey Thanks! Wow those are awesome. Thank you so much!, you are just too kind! — Arjun 03:54, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- He he yeah the Barnstar and Swans made my day. The swans will get a special place in the gallery ;). Hey you seem pretty interested in Guitarists. Would you happen to have any decent books to reference in the List of Stratocaster players article as that is all that is holding it back from FL. I would add the rest but I have already used up all the books. — Arjun 04:13, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Yo(u)ma
[edit]Hiya. :) So, the word for 'monster' used in SM is spelled yo u ma in Japanese; the issue is that there are two different systems of romanization. "Youma" is by far the most common, especially among Sailor Moon fans, to whom it's practically a loanword by this point. On the other hand, Wikipedia's Manual of Style recommends the style which uses macrons for long Os—that is to say, yōma. (I've never seen it without the macron.) Because of the awkward contrast between common usage and general policy, I'd say that's probably a good issue to bring up at WT:SM. There's a similar problem with Princess Kakyuu. --Masamage 04:51, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

From Sr13
[edit]For requesting an adoptee, you can add yourself here first. There is no message template to inform someone that you are adopting them, so you have to inform them yourself. The Adopter's Area subpage is here. Optionally, you may add {{Adopting}} to your user page or subpage- this will create a userbox. Sr13 (T|C) Editor review 00:54, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Apology
[edit]It was decided a while ago to periodically scan the members list and check for dormant accounts(many people join Wikipedia/Projects with good intentions but then lose interest pretty quick) Our chosen timeframe was 60 days without an edit. I was going through the list and moving unused or "sleepy" accounts into the innactive list. It was a very quick browse through and somewhow during my cut/paste of names....I cut you without pasting you and for that I am sorry. It was an honest goof on my part. I am happy to see you as a project member and I extend an overdue welcome to you. Your contributions to "the lists" are especially appreciated. I had taken on the Gibson list as a pet project in an attempt to build it up similar to the Telecaster player list. But my time lately is very constrained so any/all help is most welcome. I've always said that in the battle between Wiki and life...life always wins. I hope I can take a break from "life" and get back to the citing the list like I intended. If you're looking for another good Guitarist Project task... Lately some of the Guitar manufacturer articles(like Heritage Guitars) have come under scrutiny for notability. Heritage was nominated for AfD but I think will stick around after some last minute cleanup/copyedit/referencing from a few dedicated editors. The next article(s) on this list for potential deletion are Guild Guitar Company and Carvin A&I. Carvin has already been tagged for notabilty. A couple of editors(including the one who tagged it) have stepped up on the discussion page to try try and "team" it back from extinction. Any help over there would be good. If you have time, that is. Again, my apologies for the list snafu...Cheers! Anger22 (Talk 2 22) 11:24, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Awesome job with the reference work Tohru, I would give you a Barnstar but I just realized I have given you two in about a week :) — Arjun 03:28, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, I'm Froggy, a new user. I saw your adopter status on the adopt-a-user page, and I was wondering... would you adopt me? Anyways, give me a shout with a 'yes/no/keep away from me you strange person' at some point, ok?--Froglet42 14:04, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Question
[edit]Hello again, 'tis Froggy here, just wondering about deleted articles: how do you find out if an article was deleted or if it ever existed? I vaguely remember reading an article about Eden: It's an Endless World! by Hiroki Endo, just that I've gone on a little hunt and can't seem to find it - was it deleted? If so, what were the grounds for the deletion? and how can I find this out for myself?--Froglet42 05:18, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Okay then, thanks for answering! I typed in eden: its an endless world and I didn't get anything. So then I typed in Hiroki Endo, then nothing. so then I tried Endo Hiroki, as I vaguely remembered that surname goes before first name in Japan, which was where I found a link. Still, it made me go a bit (0_o) at how long it took me to find it. Heh heh.
By the way, I'm into viola, manga and anime (it's a load better than some of the cartoons we get around here), Final Fantasy games, coffee and books. I read far too much. I also have a dog, a border collie crossed with an Australian Kelpie, and I thought that at some point or other I could start on a page for it (the page about common mixed breeds of dogs shows that kelpie-collie crosses don't have a page as of yet). I'm also a bit of a pedant, so I'll prolly end up as a wikignome. :-) --Froglet42 05:50, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

WP:ADOPT
[edit]Hi there,
As a current Adopter with the Adopt-a-User program there has been some ongoing developments that we would like to bring to your attention.
A new Adopter's Area has been created where you can find useful resources and other Adopter's experiences. Please feel free to add any resources you may have found useful as an Adopter, as well as recount any experiences that you think may help others. If you know of any useful resources for new users / Adoptees then you can add them here.
Also the way the adoption process works has changed slightly. To decrease workload at Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user, on offering adoption please change the {{Adoptme}} template to {{Adoptoffer}} on the user's user page, and this will add the user to Category:Wikipedians having been offered adoption. Users that have already been offered adoption can always have a second or third offer, but by separating out those users that have not had an adoption offer yet, it is hoped that no one will go lacking.
Furthermore numerous Adopters have been adding their details to a list of users available for adopting, to offer a more personalised service and allow new users to browse through and pick their own Adopter. The quickest way to adopt though, is still to contact users at the Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user.
Finally - thanks for all your hard work, keep it up - and if you have any general questions or suggestions about the further development of Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User please bring them to our talk page. Cheers Lethaniol 14:04, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

The question of capitalising of the letter "t" in The of The Beatles has been raised again. It appears that UK style references (here and here) also maintains that the letter should be in lower case. If the Project is to be appear professional then it may have to change the format. Polite discussion is invited at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject The Beatles/Policy. If possible, please provide sources/references to support your position.
It has been a fairly quiet time with regard to the Project (or at least that is how it seems). If you are reading this and wondering why your efforts in respect of a Beatles article has not been mentioned, it may be that you haven't told any editor. This is your Newsletter, which means you can contribute to it, so please do! If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy! Lastly, this is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue (Issue 010 – January/February 2007). Any and all contributions are welcome.
