Hiway market has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this business might not be notable enough for an article. Please review WP:CORP for relevant concerns. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the prod notice, the article may be deleted without further discussion. NickelShoe 00:28, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Affiliation Quebec

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Affiliation Quebec, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. GreenJoe 05:25, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the prod, as I think the sourcing is adequate to defend notability, but be aware that the article is very likely to be nominated for deletion none the less, and i would try to strengthen it as much as possible; the tone does read a little like an advertisement in places. DGG (talk) 07:21, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It would be appreciated if you would not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Affiliation Quebec. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. --GreenJoe 15:43, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Affiliation Quebec. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Deletion

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Brent Tyler, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. BURNyA 23:08, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Rondi adamson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Accounting4Taste 18:30, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Rondi Adamson

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Rondi Adamson, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Recent addition to Assemblies of Yahweh article

[edit]

Concerning your recent addition to the Assemblies of Yahweh article - This article has been hard to maintain in a stable form and has required 3rd party references to support all statements to have it so. Although this is standard for all Wik articles this article gets an unusual amount of "scrutiny". Do you have a third party reference for your statement? I'm sure the AOY itself has material that says so but a third party would be needed to continue following the direction of the article.Fctedt (talk) 01:59, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There wasn't anything in the reference that said exactly as the sentence you inserted. I took a direct quote from your ref that was close/along the line of what you inserted and made the ref to the actual book instead of an internet page.Fctedt (talk) 17:43, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pooch screw re Ron Tabak

[edit]

Hi, Todd; surely you intended to be helpful. But when you add a link on a Dab -- especially when the name is already there but unlinked, and even more especially when what you are turning into a link is the name of a musician, please take responsibility to know where the link goes. In the case of the Dab page Ronald Tabak, you made "Ron Tabak" into the link Ron Tabak, at a time when that target page was already a redirect back to the page you were changing. The result for non-savvy users (presumably the only ones, besides myself, who have followed the link for the musician in those two months!) is likely to a level of confusion and frustration that drives them away from Wikipedia. It's an easy misunderstanding, but a pretty important one.
Musicians rate special vigilance bcz WP experience is that most are insufficiently notable to have their own articles, and therefore have coverage only on the article about the band; so far that has been the case with Tabak (via both forms of his name) for the last 4 years (tho there's no sign of an AfD determining that should be the case, FWIW).
Thanks for being here, and for the good intention.

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Toddsschneider! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

A tag has been placed on "Isabelle Racicot" requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The article Real Life Adventures has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no mention in secondary sources; not all AMU comics are notable as can be seen in the template

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Edit Summaries

[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you.

You may like to take another look at this page which you created back on 25 May 2007.‎ It needs a lot of re-sourcing as the ones you provided all seem to be dead links. Regards, 220 of Borg 13:28, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just for future reference, please don't convert external links to the program's main promotional profile on the CBC's program schedule into "references" — they're primary sources which cannot confer notability, so they can't make an article properly referenced. Such links do indeed belong as external links rather than references — references have to be to coverage of the program. Bearcat (talk) 20:48, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Toddsschneider. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "David Birnbaum".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/David Birnbaum}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 16:01, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Jocelyn Beaudoin

[edit]

The article Jocelyn Beaudoin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable political figure; article unreferenced for many years. In addition there is a BLP problem: the article hints at wrongdoing but does not substantiate it.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Pornography in Canada, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rue Sainte-Catherine. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
