Marcio Stambowsky still a problem
[edit]Hey man, I've told you to prove notability on Marcio Stambowsky with book refs but you haven't. If you don't do something about it soon I'll put it up for AFD.★Trekker (talk) 15:03, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
- Need more time. The subject was a top BJJ competitor and technical pioneer decades ago and is apparently referenced in out-of-print Brazilian books that are in Portuguese. This individual's notability as documented in the article (notability which has already been acknowledged by a Wikipedia administrator, pending references), is broadly supported by online sources. Please exercise forbearance.ToddLara729 (talk) 18:48, 3 March 2017 (UTC)

Here to stay?
[edit]From the fact that you seem to be building up your userpage a little recently I get the impression that you're considering staying regular editor. Is that right? If it's true that would make me very happy, you seem very passionate and is a nice editor in general.★Trekker (talk) 18:20, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- I've actually been an off-and-on contributor to Wikipedia over the past 15 years. I'm a huge supporter of the mission concept, and I take it seriously. However, because of the sporadic nature of my participation, there is a lack of continuity between accounts. In some cases, Ive forgotten my password and seem unable to retrieve it, forcing me to either edit via IP only or to begin any new endeavors from scratch with a new account. I've had to do this at least three times through the years. This is the most involved I've gotten with one project, and it's my first attempt to actually create an article from scratch. It has been a learning experience, and you in particularly have forced me to think and re-evaluate my approach by vigorously challenging my initial ideas. I push back to defend my position, but in the end I appreciate the opposition. Thank you for respecting me enough to engage me vigorously. Yes, this time, I'll try to maintain this account and stay the course, regardless of the fate of this first article. ToddLara729 (talk) 18:38, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- That's very lovely to hear. I'm glad. ★Trekker (talk) 19:18, 14 June 2017 (UTC)

- Hehe. It's actually ma'am, but it's all fine.★Trekker (talk) 19:21, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- Ma'am, my apologies for inadvertently reinforcing a phenomenon that I recently read about: asymmetric gender representation on Wikipedia. Once again, you have caused me to re-examine the propriety of my assumptions. ToddLara729 (talk) 19:34, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- Like I said, it's all fine. You can just call me Trekker if you like anyway, although it's pretty charming that you're so formal.★Trekker (talk) 19:41, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you, Ms. Trekker. ToddLara729 (talk) 20:10, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- Ms. Trekker, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you, once again, for engaging and teaching me. I will follow your talk page and your contributions with great interest.ToddLara729 (talk) 11:26, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
- That's nice of you. I just want you to know beforehand that I can be a little argumentative in general so if you see me get into more agresive discussions with other editors you're technically allowed to comment but I would not recomend it most of the time. If it's just a general conversation I would greatly appreciate input form you form time to time.★Trekker (talk) 14:07, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
- You and I are very much alike in that sense. I will observe any skirmishes with an unspoken appreciation for your spirited style. ToddLara729 (talk) 14:12, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
