[edit]I am not disruptive editing I have a background in film and tv. Ghost Adventures never featured the Demon house in any of their episodes this information is incorrect I was fixing that misinformation,is this how you treat people who try to correct misinformation? It’s like you were edit warring with me,you could of come here to my talk page and we could of discussed this instead without any warning you went right to block,I meant no vandalism on my end I was just trying to put the correct information in,and yes I have done background research.Tkmcguire1 (talk) 19:24, 1 June 2018 (UTC)

- You may not be familiar with how Wikipedia works and why it requires sourcing for text inserted. See WP:PROVEIT. The little footnote numbers in the text refer to sources cited. In this case, "shadowandact.com" is the source for the sentence in question. It is considered disruptive to remove cited material without first explaining why the cited material is not appropriate. We also have the WP:3RR policy, which (in a nutshell) means you can't just keep reverting or you'll be blocked. Again, we go by what sources say, not editor's personal qualifications or assertions. That said...I would not object to the removal of that source and the associated sentence based on the very marginal-WP:RS nature of "shadowandact.com". Again, the way to go about this would be to discuss it on the Talk page and provide policy-based reasoning for what it is you want to do. Cheers, - LuckyLouie (talk) 19:56, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
Yes I don’t edit much on Wikipedia so I’m unfamiliar with some things,I do know that information has to be done by reference. ‘shadowandact.com” is incorrect in its information. It has been well documented in numerous interviews with Zac Bagans that all investigations done on the Ammons’ house would be featured in his documentary and it was never featured in any Ghost Adventures episode, and I’ve seen all the episodes. I will try and find all the articles. Here is one where it cites that everything was being saved for the documentary- http://decaymag.com/movies/zak-bagans-indiana-haunting-an-overview/7702/. Hopefully we can get this worked out and get the correct information up. Thanks, - User:Tkmcguire1
- It's hard to prove a negative unless it's explicitly stated. And decaymag.com has the same WP:RS problem that shadowandact.com has. They are both marginal fan-generated or enthusiast sites. If no "Demon House" episode description/listing can be found on the official show/network site, the best course of action is simply to remove shadowandact.com and the material cited to it. (Again, all of this should have been discussed on the article Talk page) You might explain to the blocking admin (@Alexf) your good faith intentions, apologize for edit warring, promise to follow policy, ask for unblocking — then proceed to the article Talk page. I can't promise the admin will agree, but it's worth a try. We need good contributors willing to learn. Best regards, - LuckyLouie (talk) 20:41, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
In the article from “shadowandact.com which was from April 2017 they state that Zac Bagans featured the Demon house on a Ghost Adventures episode last year. From the date of the article “last year” would have been 2016. Here are all episodes from 2016- https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ghost_Adventures_episodes#Season_12_(2016)As you can see No Demon house and all episodes from office Travel Channel- https://www.travelchannel.com/shows/ghost-adventures/episodes. Thanks User:Tkmcguire1
admin (@Alexf) I tried leaving a message on your page but it would not save. I wanted to apologize and state it was never my intention to edit war or vandalize. I am a newer member to Wikipedia and am still learning. It was in good faith that I was trying to edit incorrect information cited from an incorrect source,as you can read from my reply above that “shadowandact.com” was incorrect in the information in it’s article. If you can please unblock me I would appreciate it and in the future I will learn and follow correct procedure. Thank you User:Tkmcguire1
- The block is temporary. It will expire soon. In the meantime I would suggest you read Wikipedia:Help desk and if you have questions, go to the best place, at the Teahouse. By the way, when you want to leave messages to other editors, you do it at the User Talk page. The user page is protected due to vandalism so you can't. -- Alexf(talk) 00:27, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
