Your cat-like reflexes

[edit]

Yup, regarding this you beat me to it. Which is a good thing, because your nomination argument was far better reasoned and structured than anything I would have written. JoJo Anthrax (talk) 22:17, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Meanwhile there's quite a WP:LINKFARM being cultivated at the article. - LuckyLouie (talk) 22:33, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Somewhat (un)related, I recently found this. I assume that is not a violation of WP:NOTBLOG, but you know what they say about assumptions. JoJo Anthrax (talk) 03:25, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Someone seems pretty fixated on Lue. Sgerbic (talk) 06:05, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And here is an actually related item. It wasn't open for long, and seems less an attempt at resolving a "dispute" (no other editors were listed) that canvassing for like-minded folk. JoJo Anthrax (talk) 18:03, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And...are this and this (same exact phrase in both: If you guys think it's necessary, could you save it [the Timeline of UFOs article] by voting in the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Timeline of UFOs?) not clear attempts to canvass for like-minded opinions? JoJo Anthrax (talk) 18:15, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh my. I'm getting the impression this editor is unfamiliar with a lot of WP:PAG, e.g. OR, FRINGE, CANVASSING, and much more. I'm not going to take any action though, I have a feeling things will progress to a natural conclusion. - LuckyLouie (talk) 18:37, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I share that prediction, although my relationship with accurate predictions is poor. I wanted to notify you of those activities because you initiated the AfD. If its conclusion is unnatural, I will take action...assuming of course my sloth-like reflexes are sufficient. JoJo Anthrax (talk) 18:44, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
More canvassing here: please go and support the Timeline of Ufology from being deleted. Assuming all possible good faith, the combination of canvassing, continued addition of questionable content to that article, and WP:CIR/WP:IDHT issues have become a bit too much. That, or perhaps I need another WP break. Or both. JoJo Anthrax (talk) 04:12, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK, well, they obviously don't understand this type of behavior could lead to sanctions for them. I added a canvassing template notice on their Talk page. - LuckyLouie (talk) 14:16, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:15, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
