re to question
[edit]Hi, I'm not really sure what to do about the whole situation myself. I've welcomed e-romance and asked the person to look over the editing links since he/she keeps editing in the same format but so far I haven't seen any change. What I've done is clean up some of the pages best I can, delete the info that I can't understand, and try to deleted unsourced stuff that doesn't seem appropriate for a encyclopedia. I've been thinking about leaving another message for the user but haven't gotten around to it yet. If the person keeps on editing the way they have I'm not really sure what I'm going to do besides maybe see about flagging down the attention of one of the wiki projects or an admin. I hope this kind of gives you more of a direction to go in. Sorry if it's not more helpful. :/ --ImmortalGoddezz 01:35, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Hello, Tinned Elk. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Claiming of Sleeping Beauty.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Tinned Elk/Sandbox. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 21:44, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
No content in Category:Amusement park category to be deleted
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Amusement park category to be deleted, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Amusement park category to be deleted has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Amusement park category to be deleted, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. UK Amusement Parks
[edit]Hi there, just to let you know I replied over on the talk page! Is quite refreshing to find someone else who seems dedicated to improving these articles, sometimes feels like there's no hope when so many IPs are adding rubbish. I'm also part of the roller coaster WP over at WP:ROCO, that seems to have quite a few members too. Don't know if you're interested or not, but I decided it would be a bit of a boost to the WPs in general if we got an article up to GA - Kingda Ka looks like a reasonable bet. Is always better to be editing with someone than alone! Let me know what you think. Seaserpent85Talk 23:17, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
AP Invite
[edit]I've created an invite for you which you can find at {{AP invite}}, feel free to adjust it as you see fit! When using it you need to make sure it's subst'ed by including {{subst:AP invite}}, this should give the invite below:

Re: Huss Rides
[edit]Yep, you're quite right! I can understand basic/moderate German so I'll take a look over the article for you. I was going to ask you about the assessment over at the AP WikiProject - particularly with importance, how exactly do you think the importance should be divided up? I've found it's a very subjective area and needs strict guidelines to work properly. Seaserpent85Talk 18:03, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Re:GA article improvement
[edit]I haven't myself started a list - I nominated the article for peer review nearly 10 days ago and had no reply. Maybe we could set up a to-do list on the article? A lot of it is mainly referencing, though I suspect there's a lot of rubbish on there too. I'll hopefully have tomorrow afternoon to do some work on it. I also had a look at the Huss article, most of it was ok-ish but I've re-written most parts and add some citations, just needs a bit more tidying really. Seaserpent85Talk 23:57, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
AmusementParkProject template
[edit]Just thought I'd let you know that I've updated the {{AmusementParkProject}} template, it now includes fields for articles requiring citations and images... and fields for identifying articles that fall under the descendant WPs :) This way we only need to place one template on ALL pages related to amusement parks and then tag other WPs where needed! Should hopefully bring a lot more editors to the amusement park project. Seaserpent85Talk 14:54, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- That's weird, I was just about to leave a message on your talk page regarding the same thing! Unfortunately, I had to change back to using seperate templates. The reason being is that it's hard to write the code correctly so that the class rating is copied across all of the WikiProjects - it's also near impossible to include importance ratings for these 'sub-projects'. So for the time being I've left it that we use seperate templates.
- Also, to unify the work we're doing, and to showcase the work to non-editors I've started our very own portal, it's not 'live' so to speak, but if it gives off a glossy impression that should hopefully draw more editors in!
- And good job on the categories, will be extremely useful! I've also signed up to use WP:AWB, so if you need a hand tagging amusement parks then just give me a shout - I'd leave them unrated, but atleast they'd be a central place and go onto the assessment chart for anyone to fill in. Let me know. Seaserpent85Talk 21:15, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yep, AWB is very easy to use - I think you need 500 mainspace edits to use it. I think it's a silly rule personally, but hey. One useful feature of it is that it lets you go through all pages under a certain category and skip those containing certain terms - in this case "AmusementParkProject". So once we're done with going through those on the lists in that article, I'll go back and find any we've missed. Joy! Seaserpent85Talk 21:48, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
RE: AP Thanks you for tags
[edit]No worries, was mostly automated anyhow! One thing I did realise though is that there's a need for a clearly defined scope - for example do water parks and miniature villages fall under the project? I'd have said no but the category tree for amusement parks seems to say otherwise. I'm currently going through the roller coaster category to neaten everything out, maybe we should do the same for amusement parks? Seaserpent85Talk 17:41, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure. They might be in the phone book. From west to east is Kiddie Park, 12th Street Amusements, Deno's Wonder Wheel Park, and Astroland, then the Cyclone is east of that. If you're referring to the Spider and Zipper comment, I heard it this morning (9/5/07) on WNYC. Perhaps wnyc.org has the story. --Scottandrewhutchins 18:09, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
