Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Gu Guangming. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:14, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
The article Gu Guangming has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Authenticity of profile picture?
[edit]To improve this article, I think the authenticity of the profile picture needs to be verified against the claim by the uploader. The person in this picture looks like a 40 years old woman. And Katie Ledecky was supposed to be 15 at the time this picture was taken in 2012? We need to make sure this photo was authentic or not. If this was indeed her picture, it's no wonder there had been a lot of questions surrounding her doping controversy. Remember Florence Griffith Junior? What all that doping does to change a person's physical appearance? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tinhor (talk • contribs) 22:45, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
- That's being nice. Obvious axe to grind or sharpen or dull or what have you. Take else where. --Malerooster (talk) 19:12, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
- This is libelous and needs to be deleted. Hey Tinhor, do you feel good about demeaning a 16-year-old girl? 108.227.25.130 (talk) 23:00, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
- It's a real question. That means that's the question in my mind when I look at this profile picture. Do you even understand what libel means? Instead of childishly erasing the Talk History and suppressing other people's speech, why don't we talk about the profile picture. Honestly you tell me, how old do you honestly think the woman in this picture looks? This is why I am asking the question. If she didn't look 35 or 40, I wouldn't be asking the question. Can't they find and upload a picture of a 15 or 16 year-old girl that looks 15 or 16?Tinhor (talk) 10:14, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
- No, it's not a real question and not even worth discussing. The real question however, what's your beef with Katie Ledecky? What's your obsession with this 16-year-old girl? 108.227.25.130 (talk) 13:34, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Tinhor, sorry for gate crashing this discussion, but if you do a Google Image search for Katie Ledecky you'll see the infobox picture is correct. She looks a lot older than she is. Kind regards, Yintan 13:40, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
Katie Ledecky
[edit]I'm respectfully asking you to stop reverting, reverting, reverting, and reverting what is obviously not an attempt to improve Katie Ledecky's article, but to insult a 16-year-old girl. Let's be real, before you made the effort to make it seem you were trying to make a serious inquiry, you made this anonymous unfounded claim, which you reverted on on the grounds of free speech. Then after two reverts, you logged in and disguised the offense. That alone says you have some kind of prejudice towards the young lady. Are you jealous of her? Xenophobic? Anyways, Wikipedia is not the place for that. If you continue this behavior, I will have to report you. Philipmj24 (talk) 04:42, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
