iMac (Intel-based) edits question

This may not be the proper place to ask this, but I was wondering why you undid my edits on the iMac (Intel-based) page. If you look at the boxes that were previously there, there was a lot of unneeded clutter. He had 3 separate boxes with exactly the same information, shouldn't that be combined into one if it is the same information? Much of the text I removed was unneeded, nobody reading the page would need to see all of that. Simply knowing that it is possible to do it would be enough for them to find the tool in question. Just wanted to see why it was undone completely, and without any note on revision or what was undone. There has to be a midpoint we can reach, if you think the information on my edit was too little.

Please don't edit war with the bot, which is applying our WP:Non-free content criteria and resizing the image per our accepted policies and guidelines - see WP:IMAGERES. Edit-warring is likely to get you in trouble - see WP:WAR. If you think this image needs a larger size than our policies generally permit, and you believe you can justify it, then start a discussion at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions or Wikipedia talk:Non-free content and try to get consensus for it. Thank you. -- Begoon 07:04, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I recently restored the attempted move you made on Mac OS X 10.2Talk: Mac OS X Jaguar. In future, if a redirect exists in the place you're trying to move an article, please request the move to be made at WP:RM/TR. Special permissions are required to move pages without leaving redirects. — IVORK Talk 01:20, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

December 2019

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on

that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Begoon 11:05, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Look, I get that you think these images should be larger, but I've explained above what you can do about that. Wikipedia takes copyright and its non-free content rules very seriously and it honestly isn't going to end well if you just keep stubbornly edit-warring and reverting to non-policy compliant versions.

Please stop doing that now and open a discussion as requested if you want to get consensus for an exception. What you are doing is not going to help you, and it would be a silly thing to get blocked over when starting a discussion and doing things the right way is so easy... -- Begoon 11:14, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Timard Gordon. The report about you is at this link. You've been reverting some images that were tagged for size reduction under our WP:Non-free content policy. For example, File:OS X Mountain Lion Screenshot.jpg. This interferes with the work of the Wikipedia people who work on images. The next time you do this you are risking a block. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 18:02, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate posting of personal information in articles

Don't post comments about Wikipedia editors in articles, as you did at TFOU, and don't post links to publicise their web pages on other sites. JBW (talk) 22:03, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have been linking Wikipedia articles to image files which you have posted to Wikimedia Commons claiming that they are your "own work", despite the fact that they are company logos, and not your own work. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:TFOU TV.svg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MrClog (talk) 11:45, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Persistent disruptive editing

  • If you continue with your disruptive editing, you will be blocked from editing. If so, you may expect the block to be for a considerably longer time than the short token block that happened last time, since you have shown that such a short block does not achieve its intended purpose of prompting you to start taking notice of messages and editing in accordance with Wikipedia policies. Unacceptable editing practices include, but are not limited to: edit-warring; removing templates about copyright problems without dealing with the problems; adding comments about yourself to articles, or any other comments not about the topic of the article; posting promotional links to your or anyone else's personal web page; uploading files without proper copyright information.
  • Please state exactly what other account or accounts you have used. JBW (talk) 15:16, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited TFOU, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lucky Star (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Request reason:

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. 331dot (talk) 19:10, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
