dear tim i note you are joining forces with wmc to revert my changes. You haven't engaged with any of the comment i have posted in discussion. I have tried to make this page better; just reverting is mindless, particularly so when you are introducing errors. Peroxisome 12:44, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mary Rosh material

[edit]

A lot of the material on Mary Rosh has been removed from the JL page as poorly cited. Someone familiar with the Mary Rosh postings needs to re-insert it, complete with citations for every statement made (i.e. every time the article says, "Rosh said..." or "Lott later said..." that needs to be a link documenting this). Naturally, I thought of you. --Pierremenard 21:22, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Relative Risk, and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible.

"lancet" mortality estimate

[edit]

Hi Should you have a second, perhaps you could intercede in: Lancet survey of mortality before and after the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Casualties of the conflict in Iraq since 2003, Template:Summary of casualties of the 2003 invasion of Iraq, where my fingers are becoming tired from grappling with the amorphous yet polite edits of an anon who is given to dismissing the innumerate comments of Worstall in TCS and Kaplan in Slate, deleting Falluja estimates on the grounds that they "were not published", etc. Gzuckier 20:06, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Odd sock

[edit]

In the AfD for the article about you, one of the !votes was from User:Goanna drinking. That account hasn't made any edits before and since, and was set up a few months before the AfD. And the user was agreeing with the consensus, so it wasn't even a useful sock. Just wanted to let you know in case you knew anything about this sock. Andjam 06:46, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please look at the edits that you are reverting. I fixed the Silent Spring article to remove the Larouche link and you undid it... to get rid of the Larouche link. Please look before you leap, KTHX.

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Helen Darville (actually a person), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Helen Darville (actually a person) is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Helen Darville (actually a person), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Sockpuppet?

[edit]

Hi User:TimLambert. It looks like we may have a sockpuppet operating at Africa Fighting Malaria. As a "recently involved" I thought I'd give you a heads-up. I'm not au fait with the procedure for reporting suspected sockpuppets (it might be too early at this stage), so would welcome any assistance that you can offer. Best regards, --Plumbago (talk) 13:27, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. Just to say that the problem has been dealt with. The apparent sockpuppet has been banned indefinitely, while its apparent controller has a 48 hour ban. Hopefully this has been a learning experience for them. Cheers, --Plumbago (talk) 16:50, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi User:TimLambert, could you please come to the Silent Spring talk page to explain why you reverted the recent constructive edits to improve that article's accuracy? Reverting constructive edits without discussion is simply vandalism and will be reported as such. Thank you. MrDestructo (talk) 17:27, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm due to be out of town for a week and an editor has decided to tag the criticisms of Silent Spring as POV. Keep a watch for me while I'm gone.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
