I have some serious concerns about this article; see T:TDYK#British Motorcycle Charitable Trust. Thanks, 22:54, 5 December 2009 (UTC)~
- Done I have added a specific ref to the IOM TT web site which is a definitive independent source and also a ref to their eduucational work. Thanks Thruxton (talk) 07:27, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, but I'm afraid it's not enough yet; see the DYK page. Ucucha 14:51, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- The notability guidelines for non-commercial organizations state they are usually notable if they meet both of the following standards:
- 1. The scope of their activities is national or international in scale.
- 2. Information about the organization and its activities can be verified by third-party, independent, reliable sources.
- The BMCT is a National UK Charitable Trust and is affiliated to nine UK Transport Museums, each of which is considered notable in its own right. The Coventry Transport Museum has numerous idenpendent reliable and specifc references referecens to the BMCT, several of which I have added to the article, which I agree is improved as a result. Thanks Thruxton (talk) 16:51, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Smile, your in Categories
[edit]Hi, your sandbox User:Thruxton/Rosie uses Categories. Since they are not shielded somehow, that userpage ends up in the regular categories. Maybe might wanna prevent that. Wikipedia:Cat#Categorizing_user_pages says you could comment them out, or remove them. -DePiep (talk) 13:52, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 20:29, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

- While most of the material appears usable, no action has been taken to clean up the article since you were informed about it in June 2009. VernoWhitney (talk) 18:47, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
- I reviewed this article which has in line refs to a number of sources, none of which are copyright violation. I have also taken out a few adjectives to help with a more encyclopedic tone. Thruxton (talk) 20:52, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
Numbers
[edit]Nice job on the XV1900 article. Don't forget the manual of style for numbers specifies the use of non-breaking spaces between numbers and units of measure. I updated the article using the {{convert}} template which makes it easy to convert numbers and ranges of numbers. --Biker Biker (talk) 19:58, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks - I saw it in the showroom on Saturday its a big lump. I used to have a Wild Star but it didn't stand up to the elements very well. Somehow I didn't pick up non-breaking spaces wonder if thre is a bot that could sort out all the 100 plus others that need it? Thruxton (talk) 17:43, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
- I think there is a bot but I'm not sure if you can command it, just trust it to pick things up occasionally. I have seen the XV1900, but of all the bikes I've had I have never been attracted to the Japanese cruisers - other than that sexy looking new Honda chopper thingy. I have owned a Triumph Rocket III and am thinking seriously about getting another one in the spring. I haven't owner a Harley but have rented loads - which IMHO is the best way to experience them because as a renter you don't have to clean/polish them to stop them turning to crap. --Biker Biker (talk) 19:59, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

See also sections
[edit]Nice work on the outline. For information, "See also" sections are by convention placed before the "References" section not after. --Biker Biker (talk) 07:42, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks I've never been sure about that. Any thoughts on what else we should add to the outline? Thruxton (talk) 07:57, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
- Why are you still putting "See also" section after "references"? --Biker Biker (talk) 08:35, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
- Wow sorry not paying attention thanks for putting them right again for me - but I am going to go through the sites we've linked to and start sorting them out as some are unreferenced. Good idea on the media stuff it is really shaping up as a useful outline now. Thruxton (talk) 10:11, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
