Hello, thank you for welcoming me to Wikipedia. I've recently done a lot of work on this article which was marked as having multiple issues. I was wondering how to find out whether it's now ok, and if so how to remove the warning box on the article page. Thank you. Diana Bassplayer (talk) 19:41, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
- After reviewing it carefully, it does look good enough to remove the warning box (in fact, I just did). :) Congratulations for the hard work you did to improve it! — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 19:53, 2 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I've tried to tidy up this article and add references. Please could you look at it or let me know who I should ask? Thanks again Diana Bassplayer (talk) 18:25, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
- I gave it a few minor tweaks and it looks good! Certainly there are enough references now for that tag to be removed. 2 Cor 11 5
Hi
You state that the edit has been reverted because the relevant verse relates to false apostles and not the other apostles. I find this spurious and wonder on what evidence this can be based, can you enlighten me please? I would genuinely like to know, as perhaps would other readers wanting to know more about apostles. How can you state with certainty the opinion of Paul outside what has been written?
The verse in question according to the New King James Version is as follows: "For I consider that I am not at all inferior to the most eminent apostles".
Nowhere does it limit this verse's application, simply because it is written in the context of "false apostles" (verse 13). In fact the later passage is confessedly boastful (verses 16-17, 22-33). Nor do I see the necessity in clouding the mind. It is perfectly reasonable that Paul's opinion should change, and that both should be true accounts and lead to better understanding of the ways Paul was thinking. It is even possible that his mind was not made up until after his later experiences. I do not remember Paul proclaiming himself perfect in any letter, though faith positions and Biblical integrity are rarely of primary importance for any right-minded encyclopaedia.
I do not wish to be argumentative, however I dislike revisionism, such that people can discount certain comments merely by proclaiming them to be about such and such, that was not clearly stated in the passage. Just because someone learns a theologian says it is so, does not make it so, as I'm sure you will agree.
I should prefer us to maintain my addition, though I am happy for you to add to it why some people think it does not apply. What do you think?
Thanks

- Here is the entire thing in context, bolded, with footnotes, which explains everything. Paul included himself among the true apostles and they stood united in what they preached about Jesus against the false apostles and what the false apostles preached. If you still feel your addition does not confuse the article Apostle (Christian), please state your point of view on the talk page for the article (Talk:Apostle (Christian), which will give other editors the opportunity to say what they think about it. :) Cheers! —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 14:44, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
- 2 Corinthians 11:1-14
- New International Version - UK (NIVUK)
- Paul and the false apostles
- 11 I hope you will put up with me in a little foolishness. Yes, please put up with me! 2 I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. 3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the snake’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
- 5 I do not think I am in the least inferior to those ‘super-apostles’.[a] 6 I may indeed be untrained as a speaker, but I do have knowledge. We have made this perfectly clear to you in every way. 7 Was it a sin for me to lower myself in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge? 8 I robbed other churches by receiving support from them so as to serve you. 9 And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so. 10 As surely as the truth of Christ is in me, nobody in the regions of Achaia will stop this boasting of mine. 11 Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!
- 12 And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. 13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

2 Cor 11 5
Hi
I see your point regarding this detail becoming out of context and too abstract for the original article section, however I think that this can also be applied to the original point of contention, namely that Paul genuinely may have felt inferior to the other apostles.
Just think a minute. Do you always feel inferior, or superior? That's not the way emotions work. One of the best things about the Bible is that it has clearly not been whitewashed or 'corrected' as though it needs correcting.
It is clear that the NIV, New Living Translations and English Standard Versions make it so that the verse says in effect 'those super apostles' -i.e. the false ones referenced in the preceding verses- whereas other translations clearly do not, for example:
New King James King James Holman Christian Standard Aramaic Bible in Plain English
according to http://biblehub.com/2_corinthians/11-5.htm
The verses I previously quoted describe Paul's tribulations in a way that can be equal or greater to those of any other apostle, whether false, or simply 'great'.
Since there would appear to be doubt in the matter, how about changing the line to something like:
Paul may or may not have considered himself inferior to the other apostles because he had originally persecuted Christ's followers.[1 Cor. 15:9, 2 Cor. 11:5]
I do not intend to argue the point any longer, you must decide for yourself what was actually written in the original language, I should rather others could do so too. Otherwise, the original point should be removed, since it does not include its opposing tension, and is overly simple. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.23.143.26 (talk) 20:16, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

Re: Chris Carrabba Page Edit
Sorry, I did the edit wrong. I only meant to put the Ender as how he is sometimes "known" by since he put this on one of his records. He's publicly said that his real middle name is Andrew, but he has confused people because he has put Ender before. It is a reference to Ender's Game due his first name being Andrew. The interview/source is here: http://www.x96.com/richie_t_interview_with_chris_carrabba_/blog/339. I didn't know how to correctly incorporate this.
EDIT: Also, the reference to his full name seems to be a dead link.

April 2015
Your recent editing history at Dana Loesch shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 20:42, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello This lousy T-shirt,
This is not a true definition of the Primitive Baptist faith. I will be editing this definition with back up data. Please bear with me as I gather all the information to submit. In the mean time we are not anti missionary. I believe this is referring to mission in a sense of "accepting Christ" which KJV of the bible teaches "Christ accepted us". The crucifixion of Christ paid the price for our sins. I will be back with the best definition of our faith that dates back further than what you have posted on this page.
Sincerely, By God's Grace :)

Project News
By Lionelt
Belated Happy Easter and Kalo Pascha! We're excited to announce the return of our newsletter Ichthus! Getting this issue out was touch-and-go for a while. Check out what's happening at the Project:
- There was a lively discussion about the Easter Did You Know nomination Christ the Lord is Risen Today
- RFC at Knights of Columbus regarding a question about having Prop 8 in the lead
- In anticipation of being nominated for Featured article, Presbyterian Church in the United States of America was put up for Peer Review by Ltwin
- The death of Billy Graham on February 21 was a profound loss for many. For the Wikipedia reaction see this discussion. Graham received a blurb.
- And... Order of Friars Minor--nominated by Chicbyaccident--is still waiting for a GA reviewer. Please help out if you can.
Achievements
In March the Project saw four articles promoted to GA-Class. They were the oh-so-irresistible Delilah (nom. MagicatthemovieS) (pictured), Edict of Torda (nom. Borsoka), David Meade (author) (nom. LovelyGirl7) and last but not least Black Christmas (2006 film) (nom. Drown_Soda). Black Christmas? How did that get in there lol? Congratulations to all of the nominators for a job well done!
Did You Know
Nominated by The C of E

Jesus (7–2 BC to 30–33 AD) is the central figure of Christianity, whom the teachings of most Christian denominations hold to be the Son of God and the awaited Messiah of the Old Testament. Virtually all modern scholars of antiquity agree that a historical Jesus existed, although there is little agreement on the reliability of the gospel narratives and how closely the biblical Jesus reflects the historical Jesus. Most scholars agree that Jesus was a Jewish preacher from Galilee, was baptized by John the Baptist, and was crucified in Jerusalem on the orders of the Roman prefect, Pontius Pilate. Christians generally believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, performed miracles, founded the Church, died by crucifixion as a sacrifice to achieve atonement, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven, from which he will return. The great majority of Christians worship Jesus as the incarnation of God the Son, the second of three Persons of a Divine Trinity. A few Christian groups reject Trinitarianism, wholly or partly, as non-scriptural. In Islam, Jesus is considered one of God's important prophets and the Messiah. (Full article...)
