Disputed fair use rationale for File:GA Untouchable.jpg}

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:GA Untouchable.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Speedy deletion of File:GA Untouchable.jpg

[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:GA Untouchable.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image showing no evidence that the copyright holder has released it under the license indicated by the uploader which has been tagged as such for more than 7 days, and it still lacks the necessary information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ~~ [ジャム][t - c] 11:39, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have provided no evidence of where you have got this image from. "can or could be obtained from Fascination" is not a valid source for the image. If it is available online, link to it please. ~~ [ジャム][t - c] 11:43, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:GA Untouchable.jpg)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:GA Untouchable.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. feydey (talk) 12:58, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:GA Untouchable.jpg listed for deletion

[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, File:GA Untouchable.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. ~~ [ジャム][t - c] 14:23, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Untouchable (Girls Aloud song). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. ~~ [ジャム][t - c] 14:29, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Forums are not reliable sources

[edit]

I've now had to revert two changes you've made to Girls Aloud-related pages, because they introduced information that was sourced from a forum. WP:SPS has details about this, but basically self-published materials (aka forums) cannot be used as sources. ~~ [ジャム][t - c] 12:54, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As above, I have removed the final placings you included at Britain's Got Talent (series 3) because buzzjack.com is not a reliable source. I42 (talk) 10:56, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

July 2009

[edit]

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Can't Speak French. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Please correctly source things - "Girls Aloud Media" is ambiguous and not a valid way of sourcing things ~~ [ジャム][t - c] 18:07, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:AaronRenfree.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Nomination of Down for Whatever for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Down for Whatever is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Down for Whatever until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Sauloviegas (talk) 20:43, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Prisonerswives.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Prisonerswives.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:05, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Cindamuse. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Girl on Fire (Alicia Keys Album) without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Cindy(talk to me) 19:35, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge 2016

[edit]

Hi, I'm Mduvekot. Theog101, thanks for creating BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge 2016!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Can you please explain to me how this article meets the notability criteria in WP:NALBUM? Thanks

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Dua Lipa discography. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. WAIT until BPI's website has updated, for the love of God. Ss112 14:20, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No, it hasn't updated. Use https://www.bpi.co.uk/bpi-awards/ to search "Dua Lipa" or "Ed Sheeran". The singles don't show the new certifications. How am I being "passive-aggressive"? I would think reverting you and sending you a message would be more on the side of "aggressive" if we had to label it. Don't be so quick to jump the gun. Ss112 14:43, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
User talk:Ss112: Here is the evidence. You are being patronising. Why don't you tell me know to tag someone on my page rather than removing my comments?

https://i.imgur.com/GPZg0EK.png

I'm not being patronising to ask you to follow talk page etiquette (i.e. reply in one place so others can follow a conversation logically). That whole front page of BPI's website is messed up. Artists and albums are mismatched—I'm seeing Foo Fighters and Taylor Swift as the artists for 100% Reggae. So we're supposed to pick and choose which are the correct ones? The first and foremost way people navigate to find a certification on BPI's website is through searching, and neither Lipa nor Sheeran's new certifications show up using that method. I'm sure they are at that certification level, but they're not supported by the source. An addendum usually added to the BPI reference says, for instance, "Search 'Dua Lipa' in the search box to find", and that method doesn't reveal the new certification. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited No Candle No Light, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Digital download (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
