Thank you! I can't really remember what it was. I thought I was citing things enough but I might not be rewording them enough. QUESTION: I have been working on a page FORREC and noticed that I made it with the wrong title rules. I did that with a previous article too, Funworld Magazine, but thankfully someone switched it for me. I don't know how to fix this. - ThemeParkFan1988b (talk) 19:36, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to World Waterpark Association. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:
|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg
.
There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption
. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Blocked? August 19 2016

Request reason:
I was heart broken this morning when I found out that I couldn't edit from my account. Yesterday I had issues with an 'IP Address' being block, which has happened before when using public computers and/or internet (which I do a lot of.) Yesterday I just switch from the wifi I use in my building to one brought in from my phone, then the notice was gone. I don't know if this was ok, but the notices have always said that the IP blocks weren't about me. This one is different and it doesn't really provide a reason, something about CheckUser and privacy. It says that the account has been used abusively so I thought maybe someone else used it but no one knows my password and I checked my contributions list and it is just the stuff I have been working on. I am trying really hard to follow all the rules and I know I have made mistakes but I am learning from them and I flag my errors and have asked for help. Maybe I made too many mistakes, I was really struggling with loading images, just logos for things, as you can see from the comments left by editors above. I decided to stop doing that until I was sure that I could do it correctly. I try to avoid making any errors and when I titled a new article incorrectly and went to the HelpPage to get it fixed. I am cautious about working on something that is too complex and difficult - I want to build up the articles about Theme Parks in China and have just recently joined up with the Amusement Parks Wiki Project people and have been using their talk page to work with more experienced editors on articles. Then I can learn from them and it will ensure that the articles are made correctly, especially as the project is working on building consistent articles using templates. Please please unblock me. I am so sorry for making too many mistakes. This has been a really fun activity to do on my breaks at work and I am sad that today I can't. What happened? I want to keep editing and creating pages, I am trying my hardest to do it appropriately, please tell me what I messedup on and help me fix it. ThemeParkFan1988b (talk) 14:22, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
Decline reason:
The sockpuppetry was more widespread than your claims here. As you have not addressed that, I'm declining your unblock at this time. Yamla (talk) 12:06, 20 August 2016 (UTC)

- Reviewing admin - there is Confirmed abuse of multiple accounts here. RhyUrbanPlan, Chrisbinx, and ThemeParkFan1988 are all Technically indistinguishable. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 18:37, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Ponyo: Note that both ThemeParkFan1988 and ThemeParkFan1988b appear to exist, with overlapping but different edits; which of course emphasizes your point. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 21:33, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
Still Blocked! August 22 2016

Request reason:
Ok, I understand some of what has happened! I hope I can help. ThemeParkFan1988 is totally me!! I started that account but then forgot the password and had to make this one. There shouldn't be any overlap at all. I haven't be able to access that account since I created this one - it can be closed down if anyone can do that for me. This is the one that I have been on longer and am more emotionally attached to (still so sad to not be editing). I thought it would be okay if I announced the issue on my page, which I did. So I don't know anything about RhyUrbanPlan at all, from what I can see from their contribution page we have both edited the FORREC page but I can't see any other connection. Actually, that is my connection to Chrisbinx since their user page says that they work there. So I work near them! I am doing a summer placement at a shipping place in the same building as FORREC (I sometimes edit on my lunch break at work - would our offices give off the same IP?) This is one of the pages that I have worked the most on but I don't know them or anyone there except for what I have read in Globe and Mail or Blooloop. I don't have any connection except that I live in the same city (Toronto) and I really like Canada's Wonderland. When I was in high school I found out they worked on it and I wrote a current events/business report on them. Then I did a project on them last year for a course I was taking so had all this history info I thought I could post. Is this bad? I have been working on articles on wikipedia that I have done a lot of work on for school and stuff because I knew I would have good citations. I didn't think this meant I had a conflict. Please tell me how I can fix things and be unblocked! ThemeParkFan1988b (talk) 3:40 am, Today (UTC+2)

Technical evidence indicates that the accounts are matches, and behavioral evidence indicates the same. We are unable to offer an unblock at this time - as your request does not address the reasons for your block. I would suggest reading up on WP:COI, and possibly considering taking the standard offer after 6 months showing constructive contributions on another wiki. SQLQuery me! 00:55, 24 August 2016 (UTC)

- So, to summarize: you are using internet connection provided by Forrec, and you made 21 edit to the Forrec, yet you have no connection to that company. Sounds pretty unbelievable.@DoRD: Is there a chance this might be true? Vanjagenije (talk) 12:57, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
- Well, yes, it might be true, but it's not plausible. As pointed out above, there are a number of accounts on the same IP address, all Technically indistinguishable, and one of them, as noted, claims to work as a marketing specialist at the company. —DoRD (talk) 13:15, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
- @DoRD: I am at work now -- this post is being written from the internet connection I have been using. I asked my boss about it and everyone in the building uses a connection done by Beanfield, a local Toronto fiber-optic cable internet provider. Side note: They are a pretty awesome, and I feel notable company, I knew a bit about them already. This would be a case normally where I would consider making an article about them, since they don't seem to have a page and are challenging Rogers and Bell in the Toronto area which is pretty interesting, and they got the big Pan Am contract. Also the Globe just published a think about them winning a law suit. But now I worry that it will look like I have a connection to the company, and I don't. Though I think their head office is near by, not in the same building as my office (Pro Cargo) and FORREC, but somewhere in Liberty Village. Do I not understand connection? Like I am connected to both FORREC and Beanfield but I have never met anyone from there, I don't know the FORREC marketing person. Should I go downstairs and ask them about it in person? It feels creepy, this whole thing feels weird. Please help me understand how to fix this. ThemeParkFan1988b (talk) 13:54, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
- @SQL: I am trying to address the reasons but what can I say when I don't know these other people? Did you read my note to @DoRD:? I am sorry but that is the best I can do in terms of figuring out what is going on. I also have thought about it and am not comfortable introducing myself to the marketing people at FORREC in my building. Please understand how upset I am that this is happening and that I don't know how to make it better. ThemeParkFan1988b (talk) 16:03, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
Trying to get unblocked - September 9, 2016
[edit]- @DoRD: I had been waiting until the school year started again before appealing my block. I thought would be away from the internet connection I had been using in Liberty Village that seemed to mess everything up - I would be editing from library and school computers. It hasn't been a case of just sharing an internet connection, I actually don't have a computer so I have been using the one provided for me at work (on my lunch break) or I use them at a library. I want to keep editing but I am stuck. To further mess with things I have been asked to stay at this company for the fall and this is the computer and internet that I have access to. Am I able to be unblocked? Do I need to wait until I can edit elsewhere? What are the best next steps for me? ThemeParkFan1988b (talk) 19:07, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
