Alki David
[edit]Should put a license for his picture, otherwise the picture might be flagged for deletion. Stormedelf (talk) 05:53, 11 April 2010 (UTC) I'm not sure how to go about doing that, I've been talking with him via facebook and he requested I change it to something else. It's a private conversation though, so I don't know how to show his consent. --Thebeefytaco (talk) 05:57, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, then you have to obtain some sort of license from him. lol Stormedelf (talk) 06:29, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, you should have a license similiar to this, http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Intel_i486DX-33Mhz_2010_03_05.JPG.
- All I have at the moment is oral consent, but I'll try to update it if he gets back to me. --Thebeefytaco (talk) 08:22, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- Copy and paste this summary template to the file you uploaded. Fill in the date if possible. As for the license, ask Alki to pick one from this website then tell me his response. http://creativecommons.org/about/licenses

File source problem with File:AlkiDavid.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:AlkiDavid.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:11, 11 April 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 10:11, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't edit wikipedia much so I don't know how to go about this, but I have oral consent from Alki David to use the image. What else do I need to do? --Thebeefytaco (talk) 16:18, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Alki David justintv.png
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Alki David justintv.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 05:04, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- Not sure if you managed to get that problem sorted out in a happy way. I have the impression that the usual problem with photos is not with the rights of the person in the photo so much as with stating that you took the photo and wish to waive your copyright on it. Sometimes, if the photo is good quality, people won't believe that it isn't being plagiarized from the work of a professional photographer, and will delete it even if there is a clear statement that the uploader took it (consequently, I make a policy of uploading only rather small and/or dull photos). Ah, I'm not even sure if I have it anymore, but IIRC it was from a screen shot that I took of his video stream/justin.tv show. Thebeefytaco (talk) 22:54, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
