Speedy deletion
[edit]G'day TSC,
I removed the speedy tag (rather than the alternative, deleting the article) because I don't see any reason to delete the article. Your cited reasons for deletion were: a) Andheri station duplicates Andheri (it doesn't), and b) the article's an orphan (so what?). Now, it may be that Andheri station would need to be merged into Andheri, because it's not a very good article: see Wikipedia:Merging and moving pages for help on this. But that's a separate issue, and you don't require an admin for help doing that. Cheers, fuddlemark (fuddle me!) 13:12, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

List of railway stations
[edit]When all the stations listed in the article are created and linked from the article, the wikify tag can be removed. Basically blue links all over the article. Some station articles may already exist, wikfy would mean searching for them and linking them. Before an article is created, it is a good practice to search for it before creating it. There is lot of work left to do. That is why I put the wikify tag back on. Thanks for taking it in the right spirit. - Ganeshk (talk) 07:04, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]Thanks for your message - though I could not help you. --Bhadani 16:10, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
So you are also a railfan
[edit]I see u r also interested in Indian railways. then we are on the same track. I am trying to make a good collection of articles on Indian locos. A few edited so far (hope u already know) are wdm2, wap4,5,7 and wag9. still many to go, specially steam. i am trying to name these articles in the following way 'Indian locomotive class ***-*'. what do u think. drop a message if u like.--Iball 21:42, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
About redirects
[edit]Thanks for your note. I am sorry for not providing links. I was wondering whether my approach on righting these articles is right and needed somone else to look at them. And yes you are right. As people interested in locos may search using only the locos' class names as the string, redirects should be provided. I am going to start working on it. Many thanks for your advice.--Iball 18:19, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Merge
[edit]Thanks for your (silent) contributions! :) I see you doing a few merges on the Tamil Nadu cities. Can I request your help in merging many towns that a bot created in sandbox that have to be moved to the Main articlespace? The header on the Not created explains what needs to be done.
On another note, would you be interested in joining the India project? - Ganeshk (talk) 13:47, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- You can be a member of the India project and be partially active too. You are signing up to be informed of the happenings. That's all. Hope that helps. - Ganeshk (talk) 16:30, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Great job with Sholinghur. Thanks for helping. - Ganeshk (talk) 21:03, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Only Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh are done. All the rest of the states are pending. You can see the sandbox articles in Andhra Pradesh for example. - Ganeshk (talk) 13:58, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
About locomotive category
[edit]I was thinking about exactly the same thing for a few days. I am a little busy and thus was inactive for the time being. I think there should be a category page for Indian locos. Say 'Category: Indian locomotives'. Thanks for your note. Regards.--Iball 08:48, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
