DYK nomination of V766 Centauri
Hello! Your submission of V766 Centauri at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Kevin Rutherford (talk) 14:02, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
Herald: I've rearranged your list of articles to put those with very high EV first. Remember that's not the same as prominence - it's the lead for Astrophysics, but largely serves as eye candy there, for instance, and it doesn't add much to the text in Particle.
The list of articles is meant to put highest EV first; if people look and don't see high EV, they may well presume no more EV anywhere else - I think that's what sunk the Carina Nebula image the first time - very high EV in Nebula, but Carina Nebula has the worst image use I've seen in an article. It's crammed full, willy-nilly - and it showed in the voting, which discussed the low EV in Carina Nebula and missed that it was being used in a key role in Nebula.
You choose good images, and we haven't had a lot of space images for a while, so there's certainly room to get quite a lot through at the moment. But, as there are a lot of very good space images out there, encyclopedic value becomes a major criterion, and people will reject over that. Adam Cuerden (talk) 03:46, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot. And I will try to add more FPCs for space images. Thank again. Herald talk with me 06:44, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
Featured content
Sorry about all the edit conflicts! Still, all the descriptions are done, and the article's illustrations balance fairly well. This was a hard one to illustrate - so many articles with mediocre images. Finally just threw the Korean map up to the FA section. Adam Cuerden (talk) 13:32, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Never mind.. You had done a great job in this issue. Sorry from my part too for the edit conflicts. I think the featured lists need a copyedit. Can you go on it?? Herald 13:35, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- I'll have a look after lunch. Lists are hard, it's why I leave them to other people if I can get away with it - you constantly have to take something like List whose name precisely describes the content and then come up with something to say anyway. =) Adam Cuerden (talk) 13:39, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- [1] looks good! Don't want to italicise the names of the images - otherwise we'd end up with horrible things like "HMS Pinafore", where there's italics in the name, but they have to be reversed - but the credits works well. Adam Cuerden (talk) 14:47, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Yep,.. & thanks a lot. Herald 14:49, 16 March 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 20
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited St Basil's School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Basti (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I've renominated, as the last one didn't get the requisite number. This is probably a violation of some rule, but the fact this wasn't delisted feels like a violation of common sense to me, so there you go. I'd appreciate it if you'd drop by again. J Milburn (talk) 11:43, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- Sure..better luck this time. Herald 13:52, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

Axl Rose
I do think that you made a mistake about deleting my last edit to the Axl Rose page because i was simply stating the age difference between the couple, something I noticed from looking at their two wikipedia pages under "age". Archiving a talk page
Hi, Herald - I don't know what I need to do to get an index of my archives going. I'm using the archive template, but I don't think I've set up the index properly. Will you take a look at it, and please advise. Also, for some reason, the left margin of this page is stacked on the body of the page whenever you open a new section, or try to add to an existing one. I've tried both Safari and Google Chrome, and it's doing the same thing in both. Atsme ☯ talk 11:55, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
- Done Hi, I have fixed it. The reason you may be getting the stackig up may be due to some resolution problem in your monitor screen, I have got a fix. This may work. Got to Your Preferences tab >>Appearance>> and the try any other styles like Monobook or vector. Herald 14:13, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you, Herald. Oddly enough, the only talk page that has the left-hand margin problem is this one. I didn't have that problem here before, and I'm not having it on any other talk pages on Wiki. Also, I'm using a MacBook Pro 21", so there's no viewing squeeze at all, but the Wikipedia logo and the nav bar are sitting stacked in the left margin of your edit boxes rather than in the outside left margin. PS: I also sent you a thank you from the view history on my page. One last question - are you allowed to help me understand what's going on in ANI where someone is trying to get me blocked even though I've done nothing wrong? An admin even questioned it, but the case is still ongoing. How long do these things last? Here is the link, [2], but if it isn't allowed, I understand. Atsme ☯ talk 14:59, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I have seen the Incident much ago but since its been closed finely, I can't help myself. Next time you leave a talkback message, see that you are linking it to your talkpage, not user page. Also go through this page, this and this before you are linking a wikipedia page to anywhere.
