I am not a sock puppet. I created this user name—my first, as to that point I had only made a couple of anonymous edits in my Wikipedia career—during the summer out of a good-faith desire to contribute to the community through my ability to write and my knowledge in specific areas, beginning with college basketball but with an eye toward other areas of interest. I have made no effort to contribute under another name, nor have I done so anonymously. I am disappointed that I have been judged to be guilty with not even notification that anything was amiss, much less an opportunity to defend myself from a false charge. My behavior since joining the community has been aboveboard, and I categorically deny any accusations to the contrary. Please consider reversing your decision.

I find it incredible that you think that we would believe that anyone but a very experienced editor would make what was your first edit at User:The Credible Inedible Egg/sandbox.
