Image tagging for Image:StanSouthPark.PNG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:StanSouthPark.PNG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Hello, TheValentineBros. An automated process has found and removed a fair use image used in your userspace. The image (Image:1992dhvc.PNG) was found at the following location: User talk:TheValentineBros. This image was removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image was replaced with Image:Example.jpg, so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image to replace it with. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 23:33, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:1992dhvc.PNG)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:1992dhvc.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:24, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Non-free use disputed for Image:Walt Disney Masterpiece logo.PNG
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Walt Disney Masterpiece logo.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:50, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:EnhancedColumbia.PNG
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:EnhancedColumbia.PNG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit]Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Meg Griffin, as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one (and vice versa) is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you. [1] And please don't call revert warring a minor edit. / edg ☺ ☭ 03:16, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Don't test on articles
[edit]Hi. Given your actions on Major film studio, Studio system, Movie studio, and others, you seem to believe that established articles are the appropriate venue in which to perform "tests." They are not. If you want to test things, you can use the Wikipedia:Sandbox or create your own sandbox, where you are always free to do what you want. Here's an easy way to create that:
- (1) Copy the following: User:TheValentineBros/sandbox
- (2) Paste it into the "search" box on the left-hand side of your Wikipedia window and click on "Go"
- (3) Click on "Start the User:TheValentineBros/sandbox page"
There you go!
As an aside, I have to say your "tests" are extremely odd. I assume, for instance, that you know that The Weisntein Company didn't even exist during Hollywood's classic era, let alone constituted a major studio. To have that egregious error and others like it appear in a Wikipedia article even for a minute or two hardly helps the reputation of our project.
Best of luck in the future, Dan.—DCGeist (talk) 03:32, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
United States and Canada at the box office
[edit]Hey, I saw {{Lists of box office number-one films}} and wanted to give you the heads-up that the box office numbers for the United States and Canada are reported together, so there does not need to be a separate group for Canada. See what Box Office Mojo says: "All grosses published reflect domestic earnings, i.e., United States and Canada, unless otherwise noted." We're also discussing moving the box office articles to reflect that they are lists since they are largely lists of numbers; see WT:FILM#Lists of box office number-one films. Feel free to share your thoughts! —Erik (talk • contrib) 17:01, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- but how? TVB00:50, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- How what? For the template, the grouping can be "United States and Canada" instead of separating them. As for moving the articles, we're discussing the best name to move them to. If you want to share your thoughts, go to the WT:FILM link. —Erik (talk • contrib) 01:49, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with File:Gal hayley.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Gal hayley.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Edit summaries
[edit]I have noticed that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:00, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Request reason:
I want to apologize for using various songs put in films, since after late-November of last year, it seemed like the category was changed from songs used for film to Category:Songs written for film; which I assumed that being myself, I thought I would know more about research, since I usually do a lot of research, and I will never do any of this again. That said, I would like to request an unblock since all of this, as mentioned here, was just myself not knowing what difference between songs for film nor songs written for film are, and I promise that I won't be able to do any of this ever again. / User:TheValentineBros
Decline reason:
I've gone through quite a few of your recent edits, beyond the categories, and the vast majority showed problems with the references. Thus I have to decline this request. Huon (talk) 21:27, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
