A tag has been placed on File:Official Portrait of Bako Sahakyan.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Creating a talk page archive

Hi :)

If you'd like to remove the outdated image copyright warnings, you might want to create a talk page archive. It can be automatically done by a bot, and the settings can easily be adjusted by you after an initial setup. I will happily set it up for you. If you are interested, please reply with {{ping|ToBeFree}} to make me receive a notification. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:13, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

@ToBeFree:
That worked -- my next edit to this page will add two templates. One is for setting up the bot, and one is the "archive navigation box" for visitors. I recommend letting the bot template stay at the very top, while you can move the "archive navigation box" around wherever you like to. A list of configuration options for the bot can be found here: User:ClueBot_III#General_template_format ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:30, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
Thanks a ton!--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 18:32, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
No problem, you're welcome :) It will take about 1-2 days until the bot notices that there is a new page for its watchlist. After that, it will react quickly to "{{tl|Resolved}}", which you can add to any section you'd like to archive. Note that you can also always choose to delete a message instead. Archiving is not obligatory; I like it because it allows me to keep a timeline of my Wikipedia interactions. Also, I think that archiving messages is probably "friendlier" than deleting messages, and avoids misunderstandings. I personally was positively surprised when I saw that you did not delete these messages. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:48, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
Oh, PS: Just saying, because it looks tempting to me: Don't click the "create" button in the archive box yet. The bot will do it.^^ ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:49, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
Awesome!--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 19:12, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
The bot hasn't done it yet.--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 20:10, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

@ToBeFree:

A tag has been placed on File:Shreveport Header Collage.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Shreveport, Louisiana. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 17:39, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi there! Thanks for messaging about this error. I would first like to write I thought I performed the edit in good faith, nevertheless, I must have been naive. I do assure you though, none of the research, at least for the nicknames, was original research. I will cite credible sources for all my contributions. Thanks for the head's up, and if that collage is deleted, I will surely use the CC-licensed files on Wikimedia Commons instead.--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 19:23, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Shreveport Header Collage.png

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Shreveport Header Collage.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:04, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Fort Worth, Texas, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page National Historic District (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Non-free rationale for File:Seal of Shreveport, Louisiana.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Seal of Shreveport, Louisiana.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:15, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Sylvester Turner.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Sylvester Turner.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:28, 29 May 2018 (UTC)

Can you slow down of re-editing in List of Christian denominations page! Just for now!

What going on with recent editing at List of Christian denominations page today with so much mostly unnecessary re-editing for? And I think you want probably going with lean-to WP:DE and maybe WP:BIASED territory due of trimming down sections like one noticeable example of just because of modern-day Nontrinitarian or other lesser known "Protestant-like" denominations mostly look, modeled or inspired from Western Protestantism DOESN'T means their beliefs or theology are not same groupings with Mainstream and some Alternate Protestant denominations by based on their religious appearance? --User:Chad The Goatman (talk) 01:14, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

@Chad The Goatman: thanks for contacting me regarding the editing. I recall the article stating it is ordered from "ancient to contemporary Christianity", and the nontrinitarian section had to be removed because it was not based by branches. As for "Protestant-like" denominations, thank you for clarifying to me. However, you will not get your point across immediately accusing me and writing in all caps, in addition to exclamation points. Latter Day Saint movement among others listed there are actually Restorationist, and if you want to debate, just check throughout Wikipedia, and the sources attributed to their standing in the movement. I saw everything according to "ancient to contemporary Christianity" and not based off branches, even though I reordered them according to chronological order as specified. Any further remarks? PS: Calling my edits unnecessary, yet they were what helped cease the confusion of what is and has been discussed numerous times with the page being arbitrary. I am still working on the Protestants and others however because it is one large combination of everything...literally...--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 01:36, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
I'm sorry for capping or accusing you out of rage but please don't get rid some of my edits because I little-trying work hard of getting them right just like you did for that page. And for your Latter Day Saints example are predominantly theologically Nontrinitarian and having some unique 'Rites' (or rituals) different from other Restoration and Protestant sects except Community of Christ since 2000 due of their later non-Smith leaders attending some Protestant Seminaries cause them changing their Church;s theology and few of rituals just hopefully gaining some converts. --User:Chad The Goatman (talk) 02:50, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
It is fine @Chad The Goatman:, just be careful in your approach. I am guilty of this at times as well. I don't intend to revert any of your edits, because that would show bias and be counter-productive. And again, Restorationist churches both have Trinitarian and Nontrinitarian teachings in them. Look no further to the Jehovah Witnesses.TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 01:54, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Reformed Presbyterian Church of Scotland into Reformed Presbyterian churches. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Policy preventing Infobox flags

In your recent revision you stated there was a policy against flags in Infoboxes, would you please cite which policy this is, as the Manual of Style clearly states:

Human geographic articles – for example settlements and administrative subdivisions – may have flags of the country and first-level administrative subdivision in infoboxes. However, physical geographic articles – for example, continents, islands, mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, swamps, etc. – should not.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. But yeah, a series of random IP addresses removes any notion of LGBT community in Dallas articles every now and then, including the main Dallas article. The same is also true for Fort Worth, Texas, although not with LGBT but more with religious definitions. It gets annoying. Can the articles be protected from unregistered users?--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 03:03, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
You've considered making a request for semiprotection or extended confirmed protection at WP:RFPP when this happens, or are they sufficiently random that temporary protection really wouldn't help? General Ization Talk 03:06, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

Copying and pasting entire articles into your user sanboxes

Hi TheTexasNationalist99. While it's generally considered OK to work on improvements to articles in user sandboxes, etc., please try to avoid copying and pasting entire articles into your user namespace because doing so often can create problems. Although the text in a Wikipedia article is released under a CC BY-SA 3.0 license, copying and pasting content from any Wikipedia article onto another page still requires that proper attribution be given per WP:PATT and WP:RUU or else it is going to be considered a copyright violation. Moreover, often images used in articles are licensed as non-free content and non-free files cannot be used outside of the article namespace per WP:NFCC#9. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:35, 3 May 2019 (UTC)

Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral, Cork, Ireland
Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral, Cork, Ireland

Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral is a Gothic Revival three-spire cathedral in the city of Cork, Ireland. It belongs to the Church of Ireland and was completed in 1879. The cathedral is located on the south side of the River Lee, on ground that has been a place of worship since the 7th century, and is dedicated to Finbarr of Cork, patron saint of the city. It was once in the Diocese of Cork; it is now one of the three cathedrals in the Church of Ireland Diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross, in the ecclesiastical province of Dublin. Christian use of the site dates back to a 7th-century AD monastery, which according to legend was founded by Finbarr of Cork. The entrances contain the figures of over a dozen biblical figures, capped by a tympanum showing a Resurrection scene. (more...)

Eric and Leslie Ludy were 21 and 16 respectively when they first met, English professors suggest that older singles are unlikely to gather hope from their story.

When God Writes Your Love Story: The Ultimate Approach to Guy/Girl Relationships is a 1999 book by Eric and Leslie Ludy, an American married couple. After becoming a bestseller on the Christian book market, the book was republished in 2004 and then revised and expanded in 2009. It tells the story of the authors' first meeting, courtship, and marriage. The authors advise single people not to be physically or emotionally intimate with others, but to wait for the spouse that God has planned for them.

The book is divided into five sections and sixteen chapters. Each chapter is written from the perspective of one of the two authors; nine are by Eric, while Leslie wrote seven, as well as the introduction. The Ludys argue that one's love life should be both guided by and subordinate to one's relationship with God. Leslie writes that God offers new beginnings to formerly unchaste or sexually abused individuals. (more...)

2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

NYC

Nice work on the NYC article. I changed The Bronx back to the Bronx in running text, actually before I noticed you had changed them. I know that's slightly controversial, but it's been discussed at the Bronx's article's talk page I believe. Station1 (talk) 06:33, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

@Station1: Thank you, and no worries!!--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 06:42, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

Jersey City

Mind going back the Jersey City article and removing the pictures you've added that are objects that are NOT in JC? ThanksDjflem (talk) 20:27, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

Forgive me. Thanks @Djflem:.--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 20:32, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jersey City, New Jersey, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Colgate Clock (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

That not how it works

That's not the way it works. The responsibility is on you not to commit copyright violations. When one is found, there are good reasons for doing a Rollback rather than spending the time to tease out exactly how to clean it up. I haven't yet Revdelled the problematic edits - I'll give you a couple hours to do the cleanup, then I'll do the Revdell.--S Philbrick(Talk) 21:18, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

@Sphilbrick: thank you. I removed the single text that warranted the copyright rollback. --TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 21:20, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

Image size

Could you read over MOS:IMAGESIZE...."Except with very good reason, do not use px (e.g. |thumb|300px), which forces a fixed image width measured in pixels, disregarding the user's image size preference setting. In most cases upright=scaling_factor should be used..."--Moxy 🍁 03:35, 8 April 2020 (UTC)

@Moxy: thank you for the humble correction. I shall go over the provided material. --TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 03:37, 8 April 2020 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Hi there, would you mind using edit summaries? Just a brief explanation of your edit is a big help to other editors. Thanks! Magnolia677 (talk) 22:47, 12 May 2020 (UTC)

Hello, sure thing!! Sorry about that @Magnolia677:--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 22:49, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
I have about 15,000 articles in my watchlist, and when I see a trusted editor I skip the edit, but without a summary my curiosity gets the best of me. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:56, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
@Magnolia677: thank you for the complement!! But yes, I indeed understand.--TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 23:03, 12 May 2020 (UTC)

May 2020

Please stop your disruptive behaviour. It appears you are purposefully harassing another editor. Wikipedia aims to provide a safe environment for its collaborators, and harassing other users, as you did on Talk:Dallas, potentially compromises that safe environment. If you continue behaving like this, you may be blocked from editing. Drmies (talk) 15:22, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Excuse me, but was I not retaliated against first by someone feeling more highly intellectual than I? That's why I retaliated in all honesty @Drmies: I assumed good faith, until I saw their remarks on their talk page about previous contributors to Wikipedia. So I had felt highly insulted. --TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 16:19, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
Your comments are very suggestive of a battleground attitude (see WP:BATTLEGROUND). I do not see where you were insulted; I did see a whole lot of unacceptable comments on Talk:Dallas. I hope you can let go of that anger. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 17:53, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
I shall take a read. Thank you @Drmies:. --TheTexasNationalist99 (talk) 18:44, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
Alright. Take care. Ima go pet my dog, that always helps. Drmies (talk) 21:37, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Put your image in a new file

Hello. I see you made a new version of this image. You did a terrific job, well done! However, I think it would be better to create a separate file on Commons to put your version (while indicating where you took inspiration from, i.e. from this and this), as your version is not really an improved version of the last one, but a reimagination with added details you took from this. If it is the will to replace the current image by yours on WP articles, I will manually replace the former by the latter if you upload the latter as a different file. Veverve (talk) 18:52, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

I asked for your version to be put here; could you indicate which ressources (images) you used? I have tried to do it myself by guessing, as you can see in the description of the file. Veverve (talk) 18:58, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
