Speedy deletion nomination of Rita Sanders Geier
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rita Sanders Geier requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/appellate-courts/F3/94/644/602579/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]- I made these edits, mostly minor, but please check.
- Brown II, M. Christopher; Dancy, T. Elon seems to lack a page number
- Several paras are unreferenced. Most don't look particularly problematic, but if you could add refs that would be good.
- Earwig scored 34%, which isn't dreadful, but it's almost entirely due to the close paraphrasing of Geier was born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1944 to Edwin and Jessie Sanders. Her father was a Methodist minister, and her mother taught public school. In the course of Sanders's ministry, the family moved to several cities in Arkansas and Tennessee. In 1961, Geier graduated from the segregated Melrose High School in Memphis. to the source's Geier was born in Memphis in 1944, the second of Edwin and Jessie Sanders’s three children. Her father was a Methodist minister, and her mother taught public school. In the course of Sanders’s ministry, the family moved to several cities in Arkansas and Tennessee. In 1961, Geier graduated from the segregated Melrose High School in Memphis., so it would be good to tweak that para a bit
Otherwise looks OK, good luck Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:27, 14 April 2020 (UTC) Hi. Thanks again for all your help. I moved the page but am still seeing redirect on my Sandbox page. Can you help me remove that? ThePhantom65 (talk) 16:06, 14 April 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Blocked as a sockpuppet

Request reason:
Hi I see that you have blocked my account for sockpuppetry. I do know ColdDeepLake because we had to research and edit for a school project. But we are two separate people. I would appreciate it if you unblocked my account. Thank you. ThePhantom65 (talk) 18:29, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
What you describe is called meatpuppetry. 331dot (talk) 19:35, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- I'll add, for the benefit of the next reviewer (should another unblock request be forthcoming), that this user has not addressed the connection to the other accounts in the SPI case. They have all been editing from the same device. Girth Summit (blether) 19:44, 29 March 2022 (UTC)

Request reason:
Dear User:Girth Summit and User:331dot and others: I have closely reviewed the wp:GAB and would like to make a second Unblock appeal. As I noted earlier, I do know ColdDeepLake from a school project. I was aware that they were going to make edits to the Maureen Orth article and now realize that under the definition of Meatpuppetry I should have disclosed this on my talk page. This was indeed an error on my part but one made out of ignorance, not an act of malice or deceit. I, personally, was not abusing multiple accounts but was aware that another person was editing the same article I was.
As far as the other users that were part of your investigation, I do not know them and have not collaborated with them on anything. I live in a multi-family apartment building and the landlord provides the internet access and workstations as part of our rent. Many different people here have been using these computers over the past two years. Please consider WP:DBQ in this instance.
I am mindful of your need to patrol the community and launch these kinds of investigations to maintain order in a very challenging online environment. I like to think that generally my edits are well researched, and made in good faith in an effort to expand the project, not disrupt or vandalize.
It is a privilege to participate in this project and respectfully hope that you will reconsider this second appeal.
