Hello, Tevlev3. You wrote to me about the Finding Dory. Well I did what you said, and I explain my edit but you still put it back with the wrong info. So my question is, why r you not letting me put that right info in? Ted, Bob and Bill did not appear in Finding Dory, I have seen the film and pay attention to every little detail, there was no sight of them in any of the scenes. Pearl, Sheldon and Tad did appear in the movie but their roles was nothing more but a silent little cameo. They did not speak at all in the film because they didn't have any voice actors for them. I pay real close attention to those three if they would say anything and if their voice actors was in the credits, and they did not speak and no actor for them in the credit. I know what I'm talking about and believe me I would have notice if the three kids said anything and if their parents were in it. If they were in a deleted scene or something, ok, but so far no news came up about that. I was just trying to make the page accurate, now I hope you understand and believe me and since you don't want me to do it, make it right and take it off. Thank you and I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. User 184 21:39, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
- @184.153.201.220: No need to apologize, it just seemed odd that much of the content was removed, no problem though since I can also verify that you are in right here. Cheers. Tevlev3 (talk) 04:21, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!
[edit]The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar | |
I've only seen you around just recently, but your efforts spent cleaning Wikipedia of vandalism and tagging new pages for speedy deletion are very much appreciated. I hope you take off your jacket and stick around for awhile; we need people like you! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:49, 1 July 2016 (UTC) |
- @Oshwah: Thanks a lot Oshwah! I've been previously helping out here and there as a semi-active IPv6 user and I was always annoyed how my IP address was constantly changing–making it hard for me to keep track of all of my contributions, but I finally decided to get an account because I saw the advantages to using anti-vandal tools such as Twinkle and Lupin that are extremely helpful in performing these tasks. Anyway... I've seen you A LOT around Wikipedia helping to fight vandalism, and as you are clearly a long-term active Wikipedian, I'll definitely come to you for advice if/when needed! :-) Tevlev3 (talk) 16:51, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
- Just wanted to apologize if my welcome earlier was inappropriate in any way, since you certainly know your way around the site. I'm glad to see new editors coming in with plenty of experience and WP:CLUE, and your patrolling looks good. Keep up the good work! :) GABgab 19:58, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
- Also, allow me to introduce you to the finest in Wikitemplates: {{megaphoneduck|ultimate}} --> 1.75x amplified ultimate quack of ultimate destiny. It's surprisingly handy. GABgab 20:00, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
- @GeneralizationsAreBad: Haha, It's too bad that template isn't listed as an option under the "Indicators and other notes (for internal use)" section when editing an SPI case...
- @GeneralizationsAreBad: About the welcome message though; there is absolutely no need for an apology, GAB. In fact, the edit summary that I made when removing it earlier seemed a bit rude of me to say, now that I'm looking at it... It wasn't what you said that was inappropriate in any way, but merely the fact that since I know my way around Wikipedia fairly well, I just thought that keeping it there would be unnecessary, that's all... :-) Tevlev3 (talk) 20:09, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

I have a query
[edit]Hi! I am new here so i do have a query that i need a clarification on. For dreamliner i wanted to add link to a webpage from my website since along with the experience, we have covered the specs etc of the plane too. Here is the link, http://www.bohotraveller.com/blog-global/why-your-dream-holiday-needs-a-dreamliner. Please see and advise if this qualifies. It might look that i am trying to add my website reference on Wiki but its no really so. Giving a link actually takes lesser time so that is why. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bohotraveller (talk • contribs) 06:44, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
- @Bohotraveller: Hi Bohotraveller, you may add the link anywhere that marks the indication of where the citation is needed–though blogging websites are generally not the best sources to use. Please see WP:CS and/or WP:VERIFY for more information of citing sources. You can also use the Help Desk to get more users' opinions on the matter. Hope this helps! Thank you for the good intent. However, could I please ask you not to do this. When dealing with a banned sockpuppeteer, we prefer to keep the templateage minimal, to avoid bureaucracy and to avoid feeding the trolls.
Thanks also for your work on Spicy Boy. BethNaught (talk) 20:28, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
- @BethNaught: Yeah, I definitely see your point here, my apologies... and no problem with the Spicy Boy incident, which is getting completely out of control at this point... Tevlev3 (talk) 20:40, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
- Nsmutte never really seems to learn. He seems to be doing this more out of revenge than to promote his "Dr. Srihari." That's really unusual for a persistent promotional editor. GABgab 00:31, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
Re: Connor Franta
[edit]Re your message: Yes, normally I would have blocked the whole lot of them, but I was in a hurry to take care of an offline thing. Because it has been hours since the attack and they have done no further edits, there is not any need to issue blocks. I did block one account for a user name violation. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:11, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
Hello
[edit]I think you are mistaken. You wrote a message to me about the James A. Garfield page. The only edit I have made was to correct the date that he was shot. The page mistakenly cited the day that he died in September. He was shot on July 2nd. I notice that there has been some vandalism since then. Perhaps your message is meant for that person. My IP begins with 73-- I have an account, but I wasn't logged in.
Take care. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.224.29.251 (talk) 20:56, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
- Hi 73.224.29.251, and yep—that was a mistake on my part, my apologies. This IP: 98.222.29.177 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), was causing a lot of disruption at the article, hence why it's semi-protected now, and I left that warning message on your page by accident when I meant to leave the message at the other IP's talkpage. Cheers. Tevlev3 (talk) 21:01, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Jared Goff.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Jared Goff.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 22:00, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nthep (talk) 22:07, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 22:16, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
