Notice

The article GAA codes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Covers exactly the same subject as Gaelic games. Would redirect (or recommend a merge/redirect) but seems an improbable redirection term.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi Guliolopez, thanks for the feedback. I've cross checked Reasons for deletion (currently 1 to 14) and see none that indicates the reason Covers exactly the same subject as other article. And on further review of the Gaelic games article you mention, they are related topics, but not quite the same information. My reason for adding GAA codes was as constructive contributions to Wikipedia that would benefit several articles, such as: Galway GAA, Dual player, Rounders. Those articles mentioned 'codes' in this precise context, but they do not offer what the reader requires to understand the context. Your comment is most fair, and in retrospect, I believe this article will fail for WP:Notability, so there is no overriding reason to object to deletion. Therein ends my explanation for creating the article, and I am also hesitant to lose the specific context added as that was added to benefit other articles. What do you think, is there a better method to bring context on 'codes' to those other articles? I seek your feedback on that. Tecknikp (talk) 00:18, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps better option for this would be to reference the Dual player article, as that 'dual player' / 'dual codes' context is the core objective for this contribution. The context of 'codes' in this case is reasonably explained by the Dual player article and that is referenceable from other relevant articles when providing an explanation of 'codes' in this specific context.
