Building up the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitchcock,_Texas page[edit]Tbone55, when I went to the site "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitchcock,_Texas" (my hometown - and I'm also the City's Web master), I noted quite a few ommissions. So I added in the name of the former Army camp (Camp Wallace) and a few lines concerning the Galveston County Fair & Rodeo. But being new to adding things to Wikipedia, I'm unfamiliar with the syntax to produce everything as I had hoped. For example; I wanted my reference to "http://www.lib.utexas.edu/taro/utcah/01953/cah-01953.html" to display as "Texas Archival Resources Online - Briscoe Center For American History, Univ. of Texas at Austin". I also wanted "http://www.galvestoncountyfair.com/" to show up as "Galveston County Fair & Rodeo, Inc." Plus there are quite a few graphics that we could add from the City's Web site. I can be reached for further information by email via my personal Web site - http://robeng.bravehost.com/ - which is a link from the bottom of any of the Hitchcock City Web site (http://www.hitchcockidc.us/) pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.147.98.187 (talk) 14:49, 8 September 2011 (UTC) |
