A tag has been placed on Auslogics Duplicate File Finder, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Conflict of interest
[edit]Would you please explain what, exactly, is your association with Auslogics? Your intent on Wikipedia appears to be promotional. Please explain what you're trying to do on this project. ~Amatulić (talk) 18:38, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hello. I understand why it would seem that way. However, the reason I started writing my articles here was because I've been a fan of Auslogics software for a few years, and after stumbling upon the Wikipedia table of defragmentation software and seeing that Auslogics Disk Defrag does not have a page while so many other much less notable apps do, I figured I had to correct the situation. If you are an expert in the software field, I'm sure you know how notable this particular application is - it comes recommended by magazines, online tech support sites, gets voted best or at least one of the top three in most defrag software polls, etc. It just had to be on Wikipedia, same as BoostSpeed. Most of the other non-Auslogics programs I love and believe to be notable of being on Wikipedia are already here - Avast antivirus, Malwarebytes antimalware, VLC media player and several others. If they weren't, trust me I'd be working on articles about them now. In no way am I trying to promote anything here. In fact, I submitted my first articles through AFC so that other more experienced editors would look at them and decide if they are worthy. I have also asked for other editors' help on several occasions in improving the articles, and was grateful when they cleaned them up removing anything that might sound promotional. There isn't much else I can say except that it seems to me that most editors who start articles on Wikipedia, especially if they are passionate about the subject, could probably be suspected of promoting something or having some hidden agenda. If they get carried away or say too many positive things, all that's needed is another editor to clean up and remove any apparent bias. I appreciate any help from other editors in cleaning up/improving my articles. Hope this clarifies the issue. TaraSwimms (talk) 15:15, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Auslogics Disk Defrag requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion".
