i spent over two weeks creating this page and i want to get it published. please explain in english what i need to do to get this published. i followed the example of another player that played with Lee Cruz and thought I followed all of the rules properly. Look at Fehlandt Lentini page.
In my opinion, Fehlandt Lentini is a product of its time. In 2010 when it was created, there seemed to be more leniency for articles about minor league players. I think Lentini stands a good chance of being deleted today if it were nominated. The major problem between it and the Lee Cruz article is that they fail Wikipedia's notability criteria for baseball people and criteria for college athletes. Beyond this, the references don't go beyond typical coverage, stats, etc. The short answer--the answer I know you don't want to hear--is that that it is unlikely to ever be published. NatureBoyMD (talk) 02:35, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for responding. That is disheartening to learn. Lee Cruz is a role model to latino kids. He was Div II World Series MVP. He is in the U of Tampa Hall of Fame, etc etc. I truly believe that his baseball accomplishments warrant being published. Is there any appeal process?

I’m afraid not. The two deletion discussions at Lee Cruz argue good cases for its deletion. I myself have had quite a few MiLB articles deleted for similar reasons. I know it’s disheartening, but it’s the way it is. If not already present, some of this information could be included in the relevant articles for teams on which he played. NatureBoyMD (talk) 13:45, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

How can Aaron Tucker have a page for writing an unacclaimed poetry book. How can MiLB players Yency Almonte, Ben Bowden, Chi Chi Gonzalez, Sam Howard, Tim Melville with unimpressive baseball accomplishments have pages. There are hundreds of examples. Let's be fair and give Lee Cruz his page. Come on NatureBoy give him a break.

It's not about being fair or unfair. Subjects must be deemed notable for inclusion on Wikipedia. Excluding Bowden, the other players you mentioned have appeared in MLB games, thus satisfying WP:NBASE. I am not telling you he can't have an article. I'm not keeping you from making such an article. I'm letting you know that he does not seem to meet Wikipedia's inclusion criteria (notability). If you were to create such an article at Lee Cruz, it would most certainly be deleted (not by me, but by administrators following policy. NatureBoyMD (talk) 21:35, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The original Lee Cruz page existed for several years. It got deleted and I was told that there was not enough supporting evidence. I spent a lot of time researching and noting a ton of references to support Lee Cruz's noteworthy accomplishments. Please reconsider.

Again, it's not up to me. There's nothing for me to consider. The majority of the references at Lee Cruz would be considered general coverage (statistics, trades, team bios, etc.) There's no in-depth coverage indicating him as particularly noteworthy. What's more, the text of the article mirrors the references with prose mainly telling what team he played on and his season stats. I can tell you've put a lot of work into it and having him represented on Wikipedia is important to you, but it's just not going to happen. I'm sorry. May I suggest using your talent to improve Tampa Spartans baseball, related articles, and articles of teams Cruz played on? NatureBoyMD (talk) 21:52, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

NatureBoy - I believe Division II College World Series MVP, Hall of Fame Inductee at U of Tampa, Breaking Tino Martinez Single Season HR Record, Player of the Year for Amarillo are not noteworthy???? Come on guy...

Please see WP:NCOLLATH and WP:NBASE. You’re welcome to start a discussion at WT:BASEBALL to see what others think if you believe those awards help establish notability. NatureBoyMD (talk) 03:10, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ingo - College athletes WP:NCOLLATH College athletes and coaches are notable if they have been the subject of non-trivial media coverage beyond merely a repeating of their statistics, mentions in game summaries, or other WP:ROUTINE coverage. Examples would include head coaches, well-known assistant coaches, or players who: Have won a national award (such as those listed in Template:College Football Awards or the equivalent in another sport), or established a major NCAA Division I record. Were inducted into the hall of fame in their sport (for example, the College Football Hall of Fame). Gained national media attention as an individual, not just as a player for a notable team. Very rarely, a player may gain national media attention despite not being on a notable team, such as Lauren Hill. Have won multiple NCAA Division I national championships as an individual in an individual sport.

Lee Cruz was MVP Div II (granted not Div I) College World Series - Broke a major league players single season HR record, Inducted into his College Hall of Fame - AND he received National Media Attention June 25, 2006 in Sports Illustrated please see https://www.si.com/vault/issue/728483/47

AND

Individual seasons WP:NSEASONS Articles can be created on individual seasons of teams in top professional leagues, as these articles almost always meet the notability requirements.

Team season articles should consist mainly of well-sourced prose, not just statistics and lists of players. Wikipedia is not a stats directory. It is strongly recommended that those articles be redirected to the team page if no sourced prose can be created.

For college sports teams, weigh both the season itself and the sport (for example, if a US college or university's football and fencing teams enjoy the same level of success, the football team is likely to receive a significantly greater amount of coverage):

A national championship season at the top collegiate level is generally notable.

A national championship season at a lower collegiate level might be notable MIGHT BE NOTABLE - I believe he is eligible under these criteria

In regard to WP:NCOLLATH. 1) Division I seems to be key. 2) He broke a University of Tampa record that happened to be held by a player who later played in MLB; he did not break a major leaguer's record. 3) It would need to be the National College Baseball Hall of Fame, not his school's HOF. 4) Two sentences in SI just isn't enough. Regarding WP:NSEASONS, this solely applies to team season articles (such as 2019 Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team), not individual players. NatureBoyMD (talk) 13:47, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

OKAY NatureBoy - I am getting desperate I made a promise to a bunch of 9 year olds that I would get their Coach's page restored to Wikipedia. Can I BUY his 30kb of space onto Wikipedia with a donation of $500? $1,000?? Not kidding.....if the leniency era is over I am willing to pay my way for display....

No. NatureBoyMD (talk) 14:46, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
