[edit]I have deleted the "Ikoala" article because it was a blatant advertisement for the company. If the company meets Wikipedia's criteria of notability at all, which seems rather doubtful, a Wikipedia article about it would have to be written based on reliable sources that are independent of the company, such as news coverage or articles about it in reputable trade magazines. I rather doubt you could provide a reliable third-party source confirming the claim that "the name Ikoala is synonymous with Australia". Huon (talk) 21:29, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Ikoala
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ikoala requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - You should not remove speedy deletion tags from an article you created yourself. You should also take a look at Wikipedia's guideline on conflicts of interest and on the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use governing paid editing on Wikipedia. I'd strongly suggest you do not create a live article but instead write a well-sourced draft via the Article Wizard and submit it for a review by an experienced, uninvolved editor. - Firstly, yes, you did remove the speedy deletion tag and replaced it by a bizarrely-dated "The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines for companies and organizations" tag. I checked the page history, here is the relevant edit (since the page has been deleted, only administrators can view the diff).
- Secondly, there was (and is) no indication your company in fact does meet the notability guidelines for companies and organizations. You have provided no reliable sources that discuss the company in some detail. I've told you before that "Coverage in newspapers or reputable trade magazines that discusses the company in some detail [...] would be required to write an article on Wikipedia".
- Thirdly, "Ikoala sells a broad range of items from over 300 leading brands and suppliers" sounds rather promotional to me, to provide just one example. If what you wrote was under construction, as I said above, you should have written a draft instead of a live article. Live articles will always need to show that the subject is notable, or they may be tagged for deletion. Huon (talk) 15:57, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
Hi Huon
The company is reputable and well known in Australia that is why I asked them if I can cover in here. Also this "Ikoala sells a broad range of items from over 300 leading brands and suppliers" is a fact and not promotional that is why I put it on the business model. Wiki guidelines did not trigger it as advertising. What it trigger is the references. Which I am getting from them.

- You're welcome to write a draft based on reliable third-party sources, which I haven't seen so far. "Leading" is a marketing buzzword that does not convey any information. Or can you tell me what it means for a brand to be "leading"? Leading whom, in what way, where, and who says so? While I'm at it, which third-party source confirms the range of items they sell is "broad"? The same statement, sans spam, would be "Ikoala has more than 300 suppliers." That would still require a reference, of course. If you're the one who asked them to write about them, and not vice versa, I'd strongly suggest choosing a different topic, though - one that more clearly meets Wikipedia's standards of notability. Huon (talk) 11:31, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
Ok thanks for your input. Just want to clarrify on the reference, does requires a news article from a news websites or I can use other references such as government post and other website post about the brand?
Thanks for your help

- See WP:Identifying reliable sources on the kinds of sources we're looking for. In general, it should be published sources subject to editorial oversight with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy, like newspapers or reputable magazines. Huon (talk) 01:53, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of GH Fitlab
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on GH Fitlab, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
