Hello, Taeyebaar, I will look for the Spy-Fi article, and will try to improve it. If you want, look around at High fantasy and try to improve it. I think I did my job there, but you can also add a thing or 2, so we can move along.

Kindest regards: The Mad Hatter (talk)

Hello Taeyebaar, my condolenses for your cat, I have a catman in my house, he is all yellow and nice, so I am sorry for your dear one. Take a look what I did on Spy-fi. I made a new list and I think it is the best I can at the moment. Take a look and think how it can be improved.

Kindest regards an my condolenses once again: The Mad Hatter (talk)

Taeyebaar, mate, meanwhile you can point me to new directions into working at library and literary genres, because I am kind of out of job and I want to improve as a Wikipedian and work more on literaty genres, so send new targets for improvement and once again, kindest regards: The Mad Hatter (talk)

Hello, Taeyebaar, I want to notice you that there is an editor, that is reverting left and right those splits I made. He is called swpb. He is claiming I didn't follow guidelines, nor reaching consensus, when there aren't many users who are discussing changes. I believe he did it only to hurt me and to disrupt my work. He also threatened my user rights and questioned my editing abilities, stating I am going to get blocked, after I spent 15 years working my arse off. I think it is utterly repulsive to do it, only to hurt one's feelings. He is also trailing me quite closely and will probably write here, to further disparage my work. If you are willing to address it - feel free to do it. He claimed I wasn't following guidelines according to Wikipedia:Splitting, but I watched it very carefully and did it all according to Wikipedia rights.

Kindest regards: The Mad Hatter (talk)

Hello, Taeyebaar. I am affraid to make a split, after doing so many splits and to go to Marion Zimmer Bradley and do it, as well as Lawrence Watt-Evans, for this matter. Because I will get reverted, when to my split suggestions, Swpb will go and revert it. That is not right. The Mad Hatter (talk)

Hello, Taeyabaar, can you help me put like his picture because this Fair Use rationale is a bit staggering and I even stated in my page, that I am against it. Can you help me honour 1 of the best fantasy storytellers with his own photo? Kindest regards: The Mad Hatter (talk)

Would you back me up on the split issue that I started on the talk page of Zimmer Bradley? I really think there should be seperate bibliography page as we have done on many authors. Please back me up for the consensus and call others if you know someone to back for the issue. Kindest regards:The Mad Hatter (talk)

Talkback

Hello, Taeyebar. You have new messages at Courcelles's talk page.
Message added 00:47, 18 March 2016 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.[reply]

Courcelles (talk) 00:47, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop rearranging entries and links without any discussion (especially since you were reverted before). If you, personally, don't think something is a sub-genre, discuss it on the talk page of the template or at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Science Fiction. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 00:35, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well since you changed it back to that [1] seeing that I was right, I'll save it here for reference.--Taeyebaar (talk) 19:19, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's not that you are necessarily right. Rather, it's not worth my time to argue with you incessantly about it. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 18:30, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Nihonjoe:, exactly. It's not about me always being right, but the edit made sense to you so you see the reason why I made it and why it should stay there.--Taeyebaar (talk) 23:50, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Let's split David Gemmel and Stephen R. Donaldson. Let's look onto the authors in List of space opera media and space opera and military science fiction, whether they have bibliographies to lighten up. Also we can put that box in high fantasy with prominent exemples of space western, hard science fiction and other subgenres. I will do and you will follow. The Mad Hatter (talk)

Can you merge the template of Orson Scott Card's works? It should be under one umbrela, not sub-templates. Can you do it? I will put further. Because I am puzzled of the functions. The Mad Hatter (talk)

What you need to do is to use a copyright not renewed license {{PD-US-not renewed}} as this is for anything from 1923-1963 which didn't have its original copyright renewed. It would be good to include the details of your search (as I did at MCQ when I searched) on the file talk page, in case anyone wants to verify the non-renewal.
Anything from before 1923 is automatically in the public domain. Anything from between 1923-1963 is public domain if the copyright wasn't renewed. Link to UPenn books. Best way to search is in renewals from 27-28 years after original publication. Comics would be listed under Periodicals in the books. Hope this is what you needed! I saved the question here for reference [2]--User talk:Taeyebaar (talk) 23:05, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Space Western

[edit]

I just returned to copyright.gov to search for John Belfi using the "name" search. There are no listings for the name John Belfi, so there's no active copyright from this aspect either. US copyright from 1923 to 1978 was only worried about whether an item was copyright marked or not and if so, whether it was renewed before the original copyright period ended in 28 years. It never asked about whether the creator was dead or not and if so, for how many years. This comic is {{PD-US-not renewed}} :-) We hope (talk) 00:43, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Uploading Space Western images

[edit]

These are not fair use images but free use-PD-images. Images termed fair use are those which aren't in the public domain; the fair use ones can't be uploaded to Commons at all. Yes, you should upload the images at Commons. Just remember to copy what I posted on your talk page about the comic not being renewed when you upload and use the license "copyright not renewed" there. We hope (talk) 19:21, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In case anyone wants to know how this is copyright not renewed, paste this on the Commons file:

"*John Belfi see lower right of cover

  • copyright information at bottom of this page.
  • A search was done at copyright.gov for "Space Western". There were no renewals-only a new registration in 2013 for music. There were no listings for the artist John Belfi. There's no evidence of renewal for this comic."

Don't you want to have a larger copy of the cover? Look here ;) We hope (talk) 21:41, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just upload the larger cover over the one that's there now and note that you're uploading a larger version of the cover. We hope (talk) 22:17, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
OK go to the page at Commons. In the section marked File History, you will see a blue link that says "Upload a new version of this file". Click the link and upload the larger one with a note about this cover being a larger copy. We hope (talk) 22:23, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Are you signed in at Commons? If yes, then post here for help with uploading. Give the link to the larger copy in your post and the link to the file you're trying to upload to. We hope (talk) 22:59, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It looks SUPER!!! :-D We hope (talk) 00:31, 18 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lost in Space

[edit]

While the discussion continues (and seems to be mostly against your suggestion), edits like this are probably a bad idea. - SummerPhDv2.0 23:04, 20 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • You are risking a block for edit warring over the term space western. You might be able to avoid sanctions if you agree to take a break from the article of at least a week. EdJohnston (talk) 21:27, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
