AfD Nomination: Walnut Creek Middle School (Millcreek, PA)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem to me that Walnut Creek Middle School (Millcreek, PA) meets these criteria, I have started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.
Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Walnut Creek Middle School (Millcreek, PA). Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.
Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, an administrator will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. MECU≈talk 19:12, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Your recent edits
I have reverted your bolding of one entry at the disambiguation page Millcreek Township. Please do not do that again. You can find more information on proper formating at Wikipedia:Disambiguation and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages).
I have also reverted your edit of Talk:Erie, Pennsylvania, in which you changed the importance rating of the article to "high". As a new user, and as someone who is not a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Pennsylvania, it is improper for you to make such changes. Please do not do so again until you have more experience, and a good understanding of how members of that WikiProject are doing their ratings. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 01:31, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Walnut Creek Middle School
An article that you have been involved in editing, Walnut Creek Middle School, has been listed by me for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Walnut Creek Middle School. Thank you.
- All of my editing on that page was trying to get my AfD nomination for that page to work. But thank you for being fair and deleting other non-notable middle schools -Ttttrrrreeeeyyyyyy 13:25, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

I suggest that your good work here will be taken more seriously if you change your user name. The easiest way is to just pick a new one and on to mention your former name on the new user page. Just a friendly hint.DGG 05:02, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Nomination of East Middle School
Hello T,
I gather you've been following the discussion of your recent nomination for deletion of this article. It may not have been your intention, but this nomination has the impression of an action that goes against WP:POINT. If this wasn't your purpose at all, please disregard this message. Even if it wasn't your purpose, it may be a good idea to read that guideline just so you can see why somebody might have regarded your nomination as a disruption to prove a point. Image copyright problem with Image:Picture_wc.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Picture_wc.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Your username
Hi, I'm concerned that your username may not be compatible with Wikipedia's username policy. The extended repetition of characters could cause confusion when people try to type your username. You might want to consider a rename- especially as the 'y' is repeated more times than the other letters. If you post a request at WP:CHU, a crat can change your account name so that you keep your present contribs history and all your past contribs will be credited to your new name. Anyway, have a think about it. WjBscribe 00:02, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
- I really dont feel it violates WP:UN. But if I do change, will my contibs on talk pages get my new username? what about wikiprojects? will the get the new name?Ttttrrrreeeeyyyyyy 02:21, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- I suggest you have a look at the discussion going on at WP:RFCN about Mmmmmooonnnnnn for an example. To answer your question everywhere you signed will still have your present name and will still point here (though you could redirect the pages to your new name) unless you change it. However all your appearances in the history of any page will be automatically changed to your new name. WjBscribe 02:47, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

Block
Granted that the anonymous user whom you have identified may deserve blocking, for an editor who is not an administrator to place block notices on another user's page is in itself considered serious vandalism. I know that you have not been here very long, but please do not do this again. For the record, I am an administrator.--Anthony.bradbury 15:11, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
RFC discussion of your username (Ttttrrrreeeeyyyyyy)
Hello, Ttttrrrreeeeyyyyyy, and thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! Wikipedia has a policy on what usernames editors can use. Unfortunately, concerns have been raised that your username may be incompatible with that policy. You can contribute to the discussion about it here. Alternatively, if you agree that your username may be problematic and are willing to change it, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name. Simply request a new name here following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. -- RJASE1 Talk 16:26, 12 April 2007 (UTC) RJASE1 Talk 16:26, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Your account with this username has been blocked indefinitely because your name contains extended repetition of the same character (see our blocking and username policies for more information).
You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under a more appropriate username. Wikipedia:Username policy provides guidance on selecting an appropriate username. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account.
You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under an inappropriate username. If you would like to discuss the block, you may appeal on your talk page or email the administrator who blocked you. Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible.
If you want to keep the contributions from your old account for your new username, please follow these directions:
- Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} to your user talk page. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.
- At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked.
- You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request on Wikipedia:Changing username before you may be re-blocked. Note that this can only be done before you create the new one. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username. In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is a lot easier to create a new account.HighInBC(Need help? - One problem -- that account already exists. Did you register it, just now? If so, I can help you out with filing a usurpation request; if that's not you, I'm afraid you'll need to choose a different name. I'm guessing it's you, though. If I don't respond to any messages you leave, feel very free to email me. – Luna Santin (talk) 22:06, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes it is me. I was under the impression I had to register it first. If you need the password, ask me. Ttttrrrreeeeyyyyyy 23:24, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- As it had basically no edits (and they were both you) I bent the rules slightly and moved it out of the way. Secretlondon 12:12, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- It's all a bit confusing, don't worry too much. ;) I've unblocked this account to allow a username change, and I don't think any lingering autoblocks should affect you. I'll need you to head over to WP:CHU, file a request to change your username, and then log in with the other account and leave a note on the same request, confirming the account belongs to you. Hope that makes sense -- if you prefer, I can set up the request for you, and you'd only have to indicate that both accounts consent to the change. – Luna Santin (talk) 01:36, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

CBS News Current and Past Personalities
OK, you win. You reverted my additions of current and former news correspondents at CBS News. I've been in the news business since 1962 and in television since 1965. But it doesn't take that kind of experience to take the names I wrote down, put "CBS News" next to them and enter them in www.google.com to check me out. GEEZE, frankly I have worked hard to update and complete the lists of former correspondents at both CBS and NBC and you come along, revert me without checking anything out, and accuse me of being a vandal. I've put a LOT of hours into this place and probably have more editing experience than most who are here.
BUT, you win. If people like you are going to come along and...DUH...revert my hard, accurate work and call me a vandal, then what is the point of being here??? No apologies necessary once you find out my information was correct. I've been edited most of my life and actually was very happy with it because it made my work better. But I was edited by people who knew what they were doing and who knew more than me.
If you care to look at something I did when I was only 16, go here: http://www.big13.net/JFK%20In%20Tampa/JFK%20Tampa1.htm
A frightening experience
It's actually frightening to me that someone would go into an article that is being legitimately added to, delete the additions and call the person doing the hard work a "vandal." Someone with obviously NO knowledge of the subject took this action...and someone not even willing to check out the material to see if it was wrong. The more I think about this, the less respect I have for the idea of an online encyclopedia. The frightening thing is that this person is wandering around wikipedia.org at the rate of one article ever minute or two...perhaps making the right decisions...and making a lot of wrong decisions. Simply frightening!!!
I'm outta here!!! This place is too goofy for me. It's simply not worth my time to go up the line to appeal your edits or my vandal designation. Way too much trouble. I just feel icky about this place now!!! I pray you will start doing a bit more digging for facts in the future (it's not hard at all with search engines) before you put a vandal label on somebody who is a positive contributor to this site. Frankly I am curious as to how you came to the conclusion that my entries were vandalism...it scares me!
P.S. I do respect that at least some of the time you get rid of real vandals and revert their work. I'm sure some of what you do here is good. Education, training and maturity will help you make better decisions in the future. Sorry I won't be around to see your progress.
Renamed!
Trey - the content that I added to the gallipolis, ohio page was not factually inaccurate, and I would appreciate it if you would restore my content.
Thank you.

I've renamed you.
We can't merge accounts so the way it works is that both accounts get renamed. User:TREYWiki was renamed to User:TREYWiki (usurped) and User:Ttttrrrreeeeyyyyyy was then renamed to User:TREYWiki. This means that your old account is now called User:TREYWiki and the TREYWiki account you made has been moved out of the way. I hope this makes sense! Splash Lagoon Image
I don't know if you noticed this but the image on the Splash Lagoon article uses the licensing template {{logo}}. But, (how should I put this without being overly blunt), it's not a logo. If you need help finding better templates to use, let me know. There are a myriad number of image templates (one for almost every situation and even I'm still have trouble deciding which is best).
Dtbohrertalk•contribs 17:12, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I wasn't really sure what to put. I thought it was kinda like a logo for splash, but if you'd like to choose a better one, that is OK and Id appreciate it --TREYWiki 01:08, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- Just give the location and/or how you came by this picture and that will narrow down the numeber of templates to chose from.

Cut and paste comments
I think you got ahead of yourself with the comments regarding local news anchors. Every single one was endorsed with the exact same statement regarding KDKA anchors, even for those who never worked there.
Although I agree that most of the articles should be deleted, you really did not give a reason that was more than a WP:IDONTLIKEIT. If you're questioning their notability, as I would guess, then you would be better off citing WP:BIO and why you feel it doesn't meet that guideline. DarkAudit 04:00, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- yeah, I got sick of writing it over and over when I was dealing with kd lvr. Is it agianst policy to do that? --TREYWiki 04:01, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- It's not really against policy, but it's a bad habit to get into. Especially when you weren't really giving a reason why the article in question should be deleted. DarkAudit 04:09, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Please note, as stated in the header, that WP:CSN is not a vote. This means using buzzwords like support and bolding your opinion are unnecessary. Furthermore, as I noted in my comment at WP:CN#Disruption_by_User:Miaers, since numbers are not counted in determining consensus (only arguments), "endorse per User X" are unnecessary; User X already offered that argument. Instead, if someone disagreed with X, you might want to respond to the opposition, but otherwise such a comment is unnecessary. Thanks. Dmcdevit·t 08:40, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

An Automated Message from HagermanBot
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 18:45, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

HiPiHi Article Misjudged.
I feel you are a wonderful Wikipedia user, but I have serious concerns about the correct moderation of the community.
Thus, I would like to inform you of my experience with Wikipedia. If this is not the proper medium for Talk, please do let me know.
I'm here on friendly terms, to seriously thank you for your input on my article about the social networking software “HiPiHi”. Reason being, I”m new at posting articles, and wish for a quality update to my article. Instead of putting a simple “this article is under discussion” heading on the article, you simply destroyed it from existence with no explanation other than you felt it was nonsense. This is unspeakably discouraging to new users. You're not the only one doing this though, and there is the issue.
I was continually editing and improving my article before the deletion. I feel it is a good article stub, a helpful beginning in explaining HiPiHi to the public. Such as the SecondLife article.
I would like to point out there are articles for just about every other social networking program under the sun. HiPiHi articles will pop up in coming days, hopefully by a better writer than myself, but they will be unstoppable. All I'm really curious about is what was wrong with my article. Your analysis to me was complete nonsense.
Deleting my new article, instead of posting a label at the top, is simply deeply wounding Wikipedia. As an avid researcher, I depend on Wikipedia to be well rounded in its database. This is far from the case. I fear Wikipedia is shooting itself in the foot by denying articles that could sprout out and change the face the Internet.
I will see to it that my user experience is relayed to technical developers on Wikipedia. I'm fond of you, so no worries, but I hope you see this email as praise and a bit of concern rather than a complaint. I wont be mentioning you to anyone, you're safe. I feel you did nothing that other users are not doing.
I'm not being cynical by thanking you, I seriously am pleased that the content of Wikipedia is monitored. The issue is; the monitoring system does not explain itself. The system simply tells users to destroy rather than build. At least that is what users are doing.
I don't know how to improve if my content is simply destroyed upon creation. This is how Wikipedia will fall, if contributers such as myself are slapped in the face.
I humbly thank you for your time. I have many exciting ideas for revamping the entire Wikipedia experience, and I feel Wikipedia is still worth contributing to.
Keep up the good work, but please, encourage an explanatory monitoring system for filtering new article stubs. Encourage rather than pillage. I know my article made sense in its latest rendition, I hope it springs back to life soon in a manor that you will not find to be nonsense.

- Hello Chipmunk, and thank you for your concern. I'm not an Administrator, so I did not delete your page. Also, I added a speedy deletion template to your page, you could have added {{holdon}} if you believed it should have not been deleted. I'm going to send you to WP:WWMPD then if you feel the deletion should be undone, you can make a case at WP:DRV. I am sorry you feel that your article was misjudged, but wikipedia has a strict page creation policy, seen here at WP:DP. As a new user, I thank your for joining the project, and I hope you have many helpful contributions. You may want to take a peek at the Welcome Page. Good Luck!--TREYWiki 15:27, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

CBS News current and past personalities
Well, you are obviously going to ignore my pointing out your errors in deleting my legitimate and correct additions to the CBS personalities list at CBS News. I regret I will have to take this to a higher authority. I'm not sure wikipedia needs an editor going through the site at warp speed "identifying" users and vandals when they are putting up legitimate material. And then, no response at all after this is pointed out...just a delete of my report to you.
I am also very frightened that you would want to delete and not respond positively to a very legitimate report of a serious mistake you made and prefer to leave things alone instead of making a correction like a true editor would be happy to do.
- Ive resorted your version of the page. I'm sorry you think I went around and reverted legitimate edits. By the looks of your edits, adding in names of newscasters, It appeared as though you were adding incorrect information. Citations would be nice to prove you are right. Best Wishes, --TREYWiki 19:54, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Many kind thanks for your restoration
I appreciate your kindness in reverting my correct entries back, although you left some out which I will restore before I depart. I did not nor will I ever provide citations for names in a simple list. I have added to lists on this site for over a year and NEVER provided citations. You seldom if ever see citations next to these types of lists anywhere on wikipedia. It's very easy to check their legitimacy using Google. I think when you find REAL vandalism on lists, it is far more obvious and the names are usually vulgar or otherwise abnormal in nature. Again, many kind thanks for your restoration of these important names.FloridaFox

Black Corinth Speedy Delete
I see you tagged Black Corinth for speedy delete under CSD a1. This doesn't seem appropriate to me. It is short and a stub, but seems to me to not qualify for lack of context. The author deleted your tag to add the hangon tag, but I would have deleted the speedy tag myself if he hadn't. Thoughts? - Fordan (talk) 22:08, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Articles for Deletion
Hello, recently you categorised a bunch of school articles I made or have edited for deletion, which I'm fine with, but I'd like to ask that you specify a reason for deletion or give me a link to rules justifing the nomination. I'm not mad or anything, but I'd just like to the official rules about it. Thanks! --Mr.crabby (Talk) 23:52, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

CBS News current and past personalities
I received your notice reference the removal of the reference tag at CBS News.
Please be advised that I removed the tag directing that references be placed on this list. It was removed because I put the reference you required at the the bottom of the list, namely CBS News. It is certainly not in conformance with any part of this site to reference the source of each name on a list of this type. I personally certify the complete accuracy of every name I have entered on the list. I actually worked with many of them in some capacity during my news career.
Many kind thanks for staying on top of this.

I-79
Hi, I just wanted let you my opinion on whether I-79 is to be apart of WikiProject Erie because I don't want to start an edit war. I've spoken with Pnoble805 on his and my talk pages. I-79 should not be part of WP:Erie. Yes, it is important to Erie but it is to large to be the responsibility of WP:Erie. Other city wikiprojects tag some interstates as part of their respective wikiprojects but those highways are all three-digit highways, meaning they "designate spur or loop routes branching from either the primary route or one of its other auxiliary routes" (in theory, they aren't interstates). Hypothetically, if the bayfront connector was ever labeled I-379, or something to that effect, then I would agree that it needed to be apart of WP:Erie. Hopefully we can come to an understanding. --Dtbohrertalk•contribs 20:29, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

RfA
I've withdrawn your RfA because it was very unlikely to succeed. Better luck next time. -- John Reaves (talk) 07:32, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Do not behave like a bot.
You are mindlessly behaving like a bot. AFDs are for discussions. No human being can possibly particpate in as many discussions, as you've started. Consider the possibility that other people's time, is as important as your time, and you shouldn't mindlessly wasted. Content shouldn't be deleted, just because nobody can possible check and fix all the articles your blindly tagging for deletion. This isn't a game, where the fastest (and therefore least thoughtful person) wins. Please stop harming the project. I once thought this project had great potential, but sadly, it seems everything can be thrown in the garbage, without any serious review. How said. Obviously, you never even looked at any of the articles you tagged. --Rob 03:44, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Do not attack me because your mad about your articles being deleted. Actually, I read them all. All 3 words on each one. BLAH BLAH is a elementary school in BLAH BLAH. You have to read them to edit them. I am helping this project, not hurting it. These articles fail numerous policy and clog up the server. I do not play games on Wikipedia. I take it very seriously, unlike you. --TREYWiki 03:49, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Consider not just reading them, but attending one. You'll learn to count past three. --Rob 03:58, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Hmm, I'm going to advise both of you try to remain more civil. The subject of schools is a contentious one on Wikipedia, and it's important to not get caught up in emotions. FrozenPurpleCube 04:20, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- I am trying very hard to be civil and stay out of controversy, but when I am told to "go to one of these schools to learn how to count to three" that is quite difficult. Regards, --TREYWiki 04:21, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I understand how it's hard not to get upset at that, but on the other hand, your use of the high-level NPA tag was not appropriate either. Use of npa4-im is far too strong for this situation, coming across more as an attack than anything else. I believe it would have been wiser for you to respond with a request to stick to commenting on the content of the articles in the first place, and not commenting on the contributor. npa1 or npa2 would have done this much more effectively. Of course, you could have worked harder yourself to avoid commenting on the other user instead of saying they didn't take Wikipedia seriously. Neither of you responded in a manner that I would consider effective to developing consensus, but instead choose what I would consider as less civil and open-minded remarks that may escalate this situation. Thus I reiterate, try to be more civil. This subject has been kicking around for months, if not years, it won't be resolved in a day. FrozenPurpleCube 04:31, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and BTW, there's absolutely no way nominating so many articles at once won't be controversial and little chance of a school-related nomination being without controversy either. Sometimes it seems like any AFD may turn controversial. So I'm sorry if your desire was to keep your head down, because you've kicked up a storm here. FrozenPurpleCube 04:33, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- I went to revert the warning and I see you have already been there. --TREYWiki 04:34, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- You mentioned "your articles being deleted". To the best of my knowledge, none of my articles are effected. You've made the assumption that a) these are mine and b) I'm opposed to all deletions of them. I didn't write them. I haven't read all of them. Some may warrant deletion. So be it. But only under a fair process for each, and not in a robot-like rapid-fire manner. Of course, it's better to discuss the content, and not the person. If one, two, or three, were nominated I would have done that. But when such a large number are, I don't know where else to go, but to the nominator's page, before the numbers grow. I am sorry about the snooty "count to 3/go to school" comment, but a free tip, on school AFDs: minor mistakes in writing (which I make all the time) or even intentionally non-literal statements (like your "3 word" comment), will get a response, because of the irony of making a such a mistake on a school related discussion. In fact, I have an uncontrollable desire to mention the improper use of the singlular where you said "...numerous policy..." (sorry). Anyhow, I have intentionally "unwatched" the schoolwatch page, that lists school AFDs, so haven't been in the debates much for a while. I really am not looking for a fight, despite what it may seem. I will now "unwatch" Bridge Elementary School, which took me here. --Rob 05:01, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- I suppose what got a lot of people angry was that you chose articles on subjects in another country, which some people might not see as being in as good faith since there are many Wikipedians who think Not American = Not Notable. Also there's a possibility that one or more of these are notable - putting them in an en masse deletion can make for a very confusing and complicated discussion if some are notable and some aren't. Mass deletions are much better for things that are more closely related and clearly of equal notability (eg. Bratz dolls, one-time fictional characters from minor TV programs, etc.). --Charlene 05:35, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Added to say that generally I agree with you that elementary schools are not notable, but there are schools that are, and a mass deletion can be a huge mess for both editors and nominators. --Charlene 05:37, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Could you address these points?
You recently rated Israel as a Good article. Could you explain your rating in light of these comments which I posted on the Talk:Israel page? :
The article as is, is not factually accurate and verifiable. The Culture of Israel section is very much lacking in sources, even in the main articles it links to, with the exception of the Education sub-section. The Zionism and Immigration, Economy, Judiciary, and Military sections also lack sources, as do the section 1950s and 1960s and 1970s.
The article is not neutral and fails to represent viewpoints fairly and without bias. There are a lack of sources for controversial claims:
"In a massacre in 1929, 133 Jews, including 67 in Hebron were killed and 116 Arabs were killed in the riots."
"Many Arabs, opposed to the Balfour Declaration, the mandate, and the Jewish National Home, instigated riots and pogroms against Jews in Jerusalem, Hebron, Jaffa, and Haifa. As a result of the 1921 Arab attacks, the Haganah was formed to protect Jewish settlements."
Further, sources cited do not fully support the formulations made:
"Israel is the only country in the Middle East considered to be a liberal democracy, having a broad array of political rights and civil liberties present.[5][6]"
The article is unstable due to the failure by editors to address ongoing issues. There is still much unresolved controversy surrounding the designation of Jerusalem as a capital, and whether Israel is the "only liberal democracy in the Middle East", among other issues.
I propose that the GA nomination be retracted until these issues can be dealt with. Tiamut 09:15, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Thank you, Tiamut 16:29, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not going to second guess my judgment. If you believe the article should be delisted, First; be bold and the fix whats wrong yourself. Now, if that doesn't work, you can ask for a review at WP:GA/R. I thank you for your concern. --T. Wiki 03:23, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Deletion help
You seem more knowledgable on the workings of how articles are deleted. Take look at this article, it's an exact (almost) duplicate of Central High School. The author of the duplicate made an edit similar to that page to Central High (I reverted it) before making the duplicate. It seems like its speedy deletion criteria but their isn't template for duplicated articles under a different name. Hopefully you can help. --Dtbohrertalk•contribs 00:50, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- It would not meet a criteria for speedy-ing, it would be a merge, but I have gone far enough to redirect to the [[Central High School {Erie, Pennsylvania)]] since its an exact copy.
You recently put this article on hold and left some good suggestions. I was wondering what you meant by: "The 'See also' templates should be moved to the top of the sections.". I have some other things to address and I should be finishing up with the article in the next few days. Thanks, --T. Wiki
- The problem has been fixed by User:Dtbohrer. When I did the review, the "See also"s in the Government section were at the bottom of the section. Epbr123 21:29, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well done, the article has passed. Minor fixes still needed are that refs 5 & 6 could be combined, and refs 27 & 37 need dates. Epbr123 09:07, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Walt Disney World Monorail System
Regarding the content dispute over Walt Disney World Monorail System, please remember to assume good faith with other editors. Reverting another editor's revert and calling it "vandalism" ([1], [2]) is generally considered to be bad form. While many of us are frustrated over this article's content dispute, calling the edits of other, established editors vandalism only escalates emotions. --Kralizec! (talk) 13:42, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- It actually is vandalism when he has been told 10 or 20 times about what wikipedia is not. How to emergency evacuate a monorail should not be in a wikipedia article.--trey 14:06, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- You may wish to review Wikipedia's official policy on vandalism, as your statement above is not accurate. The relevant sections of the policy state "Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism. Apparent bad-faith edits that do not make their bad-faith nature inarguably explicit are not considered vandalism at Wikipedia." Additionally, it also notes, "Do not use these [vandalism] templates in content disputes; instead, write a clear message explaining your disagreement." As I indicated above, issuing a vandalism warning during what is essentially a content dispute on Walt Disney World Monorail System is considered to be bad form. --Kralizec! Ultimately I suspect that you and I are both in agreement about the disruptiveness of HeadMouse`s edits, however incorrectly labeling his actions as vandalism is only going to hinder our case, not help it. --Kralizec! I'll see what stuff I can find. Because we have the main History of Erie page, we only need a summary of it on the Erie page. I'll find some info and elaborate later on the History page. Some info we already have we could remove and have only on the History page.
Sorry I've been away while this is going on. --Dtbohrertalk•contribs 01:01, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- How much time do I have? If I have enough I will be able add some info about Erie's rum-running days during the Prohibition. And the flood info came from an Erie Times News publication during Erie's Bicentennial (it has a lot of history info in it), I'm working on the best way to cite it now. --Dtbohrertalk•contribs 01:51, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Heyas, I noticed he reverted again. I emailed KDKA and they said that Dr. Paul Nemiroff (the person Kd_lvr keeps reverting) no longer works at/for KDKA or CBS Corporation (Pittsburgh). So, that is about as close as you can get to confirmed....unless someone from KDKA sends in a press release:) Thanks for your help. Take Care...NeutralHomer T:C 17:01, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks so much for the apology. I apologize too for seeming angry, but that was not my intention. By the way, the dispute between us was not the main reason that I was leaving, but instead was the tipping point of me leaving the project. Due to my off-wiki life, I was contemplating leaving the project some time. I just finally made a decision to do so due to recent events. Hope you have a nice experience on the project. See you around. Miranda 13:56, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

Non-free Images
I was thinking of putting the old non-free images of LECOM and of the Uht up for deletion because we now have better free images and I don't think were going to need them. Let me know if there is a reason for keeping them. I'll wait for resonse just in case. --Dtbohrertalk•contribs 16:16, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- The image I uploaded to replace the original Jerry Uht is a low quality cell phone picture, used as a plug until Pat can take a good one. You can keep Image:JerryUht.jpg, it can be used via fair use, but FA's are not support to have fair use. As LECOM doe not have it's own article (it should), the original can be deleted.--trey 22:25, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Temple Anshe Hesed
Greeting. Just for fun, I slightly edited the entry for Erie's synagogue, Temple Anshe Hesed. However, I noticed the following footnote: "According to an Erie street map dated circa 2003, this entire block is part of Gannon University, but a personal visit to the site revealed privately owned apartment buildings. A building at 230-232 West 8th Street is the only likely candidate for the old synagogue among extant buildings on the block." This "personal visit" sounds rather like original research. Since you've done so much good work with Erie, perhaps you could check to see if this contravenes WP:NOR and let me know what you think. Thanks. HG | Talk 02:08, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Your signature
Do I really see "Sex Me" in your signature ? - If so, it's highly inappropriate and I trust you will change it to something less likely to provoke outrage at your earliest convenience. Nick 01:09, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I see it too. However, as WP:SIG is a guideline, you don't have to change it, since there's policy that says Wikipedia is not censored. (→zelzany - review) 02:03, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Couple thoughts
On your sig, please reconsider the issue. "Sex me" would not be an appropriate username. WP:SIG indicates that anything Wikipedia:Username discourages shouldn't be used in a signature. Also, please remember that sigs are supposed to encourage civility and communication and having a sig that is inflammatory to a sizable minority of contributors is contrary to that goal. Just some thoughts to mull over. Also, something about the formatting of your talk page breaks the edit function. If you attempt to edit a section, it opens an edit window for the next section instead. Please review your talk page code. If you have any questions or concerns for me, please fire away. Cheers! Vassyana 17:56, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
Re: July 2007
<-- remove threat -->
- Actually, I have read WP:NOT#CENSOR and it doesn't say that it is prohibited. What it does say is that "Wikipedia may contain content that some readers consider objectionable or offensive." So, if you find it objectionable, it's kind of a too bad situation, because "Wikipedia is not a democracy".
- Happy 7-7-07 Trey! - NeutralHomer T:C 19:24, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- The nature of our content cannot be altered to please editors, so it isn't. Signatures can be altered if there's an issue, which in this case there is. It's highly inappropriate to use a signature you know, or have been told is going to offend people. WP:NOT#CENSOR doesn't extend to signatures. Signatures fall under our username policy and signature guideline. Please remember that we've got young editors below the age of consent and signing with a signature that says "Sex Me" in any context isn't really unacceptable, we've also got many other editors who would be offended to read "Sex Me" on their talk page. Users can choose not to read offensive content to an extent, but they don't expect to find it on their talk page when they see the New Messages bar. It's really not a lot to ask an editor to do, just not to use a slightly offensive signature, is it ? Nick 20:48, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- I personally don't find anything offensive in it. Maybe that is because I don't find many things offensive anymore. But, if people find it offensive, I say, let that be their problem. Trey likes the way it is and with WP:NOT#CENSOR:Wikipedia is not censored, I say his sig is covered under that rule. If we go around censoring sigs then we are breaking other rules that hold Wikipedia together. - NeutralHomer T:C 20:55, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

The problem is User talk:TREYWiki/Border. The table has an edit link which breaks the edit section count. I'm not sure how to fix it, since as far as I can tell it shouldn't have an edit link. It seems related (from vague documentation I've been able to find) to the {{{header}}} tag. I'd recommend removing/replacing the {{{header}}} tag and/or converting the table from HTML to wikicode. The TWINKLE links hadn't came up yet and I clicked on the screen to get the page a-moving (to scroll down) and then, of course, the TWINKLE links came up. So, I VERY quickly reverted my revert. My sincere apologizes, I am seriously embarrassed now. If you don't mind, I am going to crawl under that rock over there....>>>*rock*. Take Care (sorry again)...NeutralHomer T:C 08:48, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi Trey, I'm curious why you would revert this and call it "Vandalism" when it was someone submitting a request to Articles for creation, adding citations and fixing their submission. Why would you consider that vandalism? If there is something I'm missing, forgive me, but I just didn't understand the reasoning there. Rarely is there vandalism on AfC, even the silliest submissions just get closed as {{afc joke}} or {{afc not}}. I'm not sure how familiar you are with AfC, but if you'd like to learn the ropes, you can find the instruction page here. Cheers! Ariel♥Gold 23:10, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Edit ban for so called vandalsim
I was surprised to note that you banned me for a 24 hour period for what you and some others refer to as vandalism in Emirates editing, what did I vandalise? looks like you people at wikipedia do not know the meaning of vandalism.
Vandalism means to destroy or desecrate something, like if I deleted the entire article or important content from it, or if I added unrelated or false imformation material and images to the article, especially if the content material is obscene, vulgar or offensive be it in text or image form.
Vandalism would be if I had hurled abuses, or make racist comments against Arabs or Muslims in that Emirates article.
Vandalism is when one sprays any kind of graffiti on your wall, and NOT when someone removes it and cleans up the wall for free, saving you the time, effort and money.
What I did was not vandalism in any sense of the meaning of the term.
I did not delete the article nor any important or relevant material from it, I didnt post anything offensive, misleading or unrealted to it, I did not abuse or hack the article or any article at wikipedia for that matter, I did not even indulge in an offensive exchange of any kind with any editor or administrator here even realted to the article for which I was banned.
What I did do was repeatedly delete UNECESSARY material that was added without need for it being there and DUPLICATE material that already existed in the main Emirates article under the heading "Destinations", this had been put into Emirates destinations article for no reason, making the page look congested and messy.
All I did was bring it back into conformity with what a wikipedia article should look like, but surprisingly you wikipedia people did not see that, apparently all of you who contributed to undoing my edits are actually cronies of each other and are just defending a friend or an aquaintence even though you very obviously are aware that he is messing up articles unecessarily and wasting costly bandwidth and space for no reaon, nowonder you people are asking for donations to keep the site running, because useless, repeat and unecessary content is contributing to abuse of bandwidth.
Tell me in all honesty, does information material need to be duplicated in another article of the same airline and make it look shabby, when it already exists in a neater format in the main article and need not be posted elsewhere.
Do flags for destination article and tables for new destinations have to be added to doll up pages unecessarily? its a waste of space and valuble badnwidth and makes article look messy and confusing, why does a new destination table have to be made, when new destinations can be added to the destination article page of that airline directly.
Like I said I removed grafitti from the wall for you, therefore its not vandalism, if you see it that way because of wrongfully supporting your wiki official co-editors and friends than its pathetic, I did all what I did to make the article look neat and uniform in line with other wiki content on the site, your pal is the one who is going around flouting wiki format and messing things up.
If he is pissed off at the fact that I did not discuss edits with him in his talk page, then tell him I didnt do so because there was no need to, he was flouting his own rules of format of article pages, and I kept brining them back to conform with other wiki articles, he should know hes wrong.
I also kept editing the new destination table in "Destinations" section because there was no need for the full "United States of America" title placed next to Houston, simply USA would do, and even that was not needed when Hosuton was hyperlinked as Houston, yet some freak geek added a hyperlinked United States of America in defiance, even though its serves no purpose, as clicking on Houston hyperlink will lead to article where a hyperlink to United States of America will be easily available, again your friend is wasting unecessary bandwidth and space, just removing United States of America or even abbreviating it to USA, helps drastically reduce the size of the table and saves space and bandwidth.
You are tolerating such nonsense from these people and you banned me for correcting the articles, removing useless additions that neednt have been there and cleaning up the pages that might be saving you money, is that vandalism to you?
I would advise you to go to the Emirates and Emirates destinations article yourself and clean it up if you're sincere to the job you have been given.
If nothing else atleast remove the hypelink United states of America as well as India and Canada from the new destination table, as the hyperlinked cities Amritsar, Toronto and Houston will lead to whatever information geographically deficient types are seeking, also the size of the table will decrease right before you like I said, these small changes may just help you do away with the need to beg for charity to keep this site running. My Rfa
Thanks for voting in my Rfa, which I withdrew from yesterday. Though I did not get promoted, I see this Rfa as being a success nonetheless. What I got out of this Rfa will help me to be a better, all around editor. Because of this Rfa I have decided to become better in other areas of editing. I'm not going to just be a vandalfighter. Though vandalfighting is good, being active in all areas of editing is even better. Have a nice day.--SJP 22:27, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 14:47, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Presque Isle State Park FAC
Hi Trey, would you please discuss edits on the talk page of Presque Isle State Park before making them? This is considered good "Wikiquette" when the article is in FAC. I especially would appreciate your rationale for removing the sentence "Presque Isle, which can be reached by automobile or boat, closes at dark and in certain winter months." from the lead paragraphs. The lead is supposed to summarize the article, these are true facts and in the article (Peninsula Drive, Marina, Erie Water Taxi). What is ununecylcopedic? Please reply on the state park talk page. Thanks, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 17:42, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- I really do not care about "Wikiquette". Sometimes, things just need to be done. Please read WP:NOT, specifically WP:NOT#TRAVEL. Giving information about closing hours ect. is un-encyclopedic. I am aware about Leads and FA's as I basically wrote from scratch the FA Erie, Pennsylvania. —treyomg he's backForrmerly Know As TREYWiki 17:51, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily.
