Changed and hoping to come back

I have now been blocked for well over a month (ironically, not long after I got banned, the user who reported me and whom I had been having problems with was proven to be the sockpuppet of someone who has had many sockpuppet accounts). I apologize for using other accounts to edit, I never did any harm with them and never did any type of vandalism with them but I know that just using them was against the rules. I only used them because I really like Wikipedia and wanted to continue improving it even if I couldn't get credit under my main username for the edits. Using these sockpuppets also helped destroy any chances of becoming an admin, something i've wanted for a long time and which would have helped me fight vandalism better. I promise to not use any more sockpuppets. My past accounts that I can remember: Lrrr IV, DS9 Voyager. The account known as Edgecution was my brothers, but that was banned after being called a meatpuppet (technically a meatpuppet is not a sockpuppet, but they are treated the same).

I also apologize for the edit wars i've been in. While I was right in some of them (something several admins have even told me), I realize I should have brought it up in discussion more often rather than just reverting first. It doesn't matter if I am right or wrong since I shouldn't be getting into edit wars. In the cases where I violated 3RR, I should have brought the issue to another editor rather than violating 3RR regardless of whether I was right or wrong in the issue. The problem was that rather than waiting a few hours for someone else to revert it, I was impatient and wanted to fix the problem myself. It didn't help that some users who have had problems with me knew my history and would provoke me to get me to break 3RR.

I have been discussing this with others and have agreed to some conditions: I have admitted all sockpuppets of mine. I promise to stay on this account and use only this one. I also promise to go on revert parole, meaning I will be limited to how many reverts I am allowed to do (this one is particularly hard on me) unless they are clear vandalism (so reverting clear cases of vandalism won't count towards the revert limit). I agree that if I violate any of these conditions, I will be banned indefinitely again. I just want to be unbanned (hopefully soon) so I can start editing again. TJ Spyke

Well said TJ Spyke. I think he deserves another chance. Good editor and friend. BTW whats your email? -- KBW1 06:06, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. You can use the "E-mail this user" option on the left to e-mail me (unless that was disabled). TJ Spyke 00:35, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, but I can't seem to get it to work. May I have your personal E-mail please? -- Phillip Aguirre 03:48, 27 August 2007 (UTC) -- Phillip Aguirre 03:53, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Nevermind, I got it. -- Phillip Aguirre 03:53, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Comment

I am following the statements at WP:AN, and would just like to point out two things. I never sent any threatening e-mails, ever (unless Alkivar considers asking "Why did you ban me?" to be threatening). I also wonder what edit warring I did on my talk page. An anon IP added a second blocked user message to my page, when I removed it the IP would just put it back with no explanation. Instead of saying this was not allowed (which I don't understand why not since the two messages are basically duplicates of each other) and telling me to leave both there, this page was just protected. TJ Spyke 05:55, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

I probably should have informed you sooner, but the discussion was moved to WP:CSN, just in case you didn't notice. Peace, The Hybrid 23:18, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, but Moe was right in that i've been following the discussions on AN and CSN regarding me. Since I obviously can't participate on them, I will post some comments here. I hope to be allowed to come back as soon as possible. Since I have agreed to an indefinite ban if I break the rules again, what does making me wait until December (or even worse, next July) do? I already deeply regret using sockpuppets (which I never used to try and help this account in any way, I just continued trying to help WP) and it's really frustrating knowing I can't edit (especially when I see so many things that need to be fixed, I have a small list of pages that need big fixes once I come back). I know that due to my past behavior that I can never get people to forget it (sorta like how sex offenders will always be labeled as such no matter what happens), and don't see what another 3 months of staying blocked will do unless it's meant to discourage me from coming back at all. I just want to help out again, and have committed myself to avoid the one real problem I had (reverting pages when I feel/know I am right rather than just asking someone else to do it or bringing it up to discussion somewhere else). Hell, even a user who I have had the most problems with (Rob) has agreed that I should be allowed to come back and have one last chance and I personally hope it's as soon as possible. TJ Spyke 02:53, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

My interpretation, which may or may not be accurate, is that people feel like you should simply be punished. Do I fall into that category? I don't want to say, because it doesn't really matter. The rules state that blocks are meant to be preventative, not punitive. With you on indefinite parole you do not present any threat to the community, so there is nothing to prevent. I'm proposing such measures in an attempt to compromise, since without any compromise on the expiration date I don't believe that a consensus will ever be garnered to have you unblocked. The Hybrid 04:01, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Community sanction noticeboard

Are you aware of the discussion at Wikipedia:Community sanction noticeboard#User:TJ Spyke? Banno 20:16, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

I informed him yesterday. Peace, The Hybrid 20:19, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

TJ Spyke, It has been suggested that the block on your account be removed if you:

  1. Limit yourself to one account (i.e no more sockpuppets, period)
  2. Place yourself on a revert parole of 1 revert
  3. Admit any past accounts you has formerly or currently have, and admit their usage was wrong.
  4. Apologize for your disruptive behaviour openly.
  5. Accept that if you violated the limitation of the account numbers, or violated revert parole, you will be reinstated with an indefinite block.

Are you willing to abide by these conditions? Banno 20:22, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

It has been pointed out that you have pretty much agreed to these conditions above. I;ve unblocked your account on those conditions. Any further disruption will almost certainly result in an indefinite block and a community ban. If you become involved in a dispute, I suggest you adhere strictly to the dispute resolution process. If I can be of any assistance, please let me know on my talk page. Banno 20:51, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Alright TJ, you're unblocked. You may experience problems editing because the autoblock feature. If you do, please post an unblock here. — Moe ε 21:27, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Locking

Hey man,I need your help, people keep adding a WWE armageddon event for 2007, when WWE doesnt have it on their scheduled live events (other PPV'S appear there). When people add it they put the "Mellon Arena" and when you go to the Mellon Arena Website, under calender events they dont have a WWE schedule event for 2007. Can you help me lock it.TrUcO9308 13:47, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

TJ's not an administrator, so he can't do that. To request a page to be protected, go to here. Thanks. Davnel03 19:36, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
No need to protect the article. I'll take care of the dispute since TJ's not around. It looks like it might already be over. The Hybrid 19:41, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Per the discussion above, the block of 65.37.60.195 has been lifted.

Hey

Yeah it has I just saw it on tv. It had a ad for unforgiven. Mark Henry was there. He said "no one beats me" It showed Takers hand. They then said they will have a match.BIG Daddy M 02:18, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

I saw that add. It just said that he would be returning, and the announcers were very careful to avoid saying that there would be a match. The Hybrid 04:56, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

What the hell is with that edit? Links to websites with poster images that are already in the article? Mshake3 02:55, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

TJ was adding sources for the images to the article, which helps avoid any possible copyright problems. The Hybrid 04:54, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Sources for images go into the image pages (Image:Backlash1999.jpg). This is just a waste of space, as is listing who's on the poster. Mshake3 14:25, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Revert parole

I see you had a few questions about your revert parole. 1 revert parole is 1 revert for 1 article, for every 24 hours (i.e. you may not revert twice in 24 hours on the same page, unless it is vandalism or otherwise consensus to remove content). Removing spoilers shouldn't be a problem, but if you're conflicted with an established editor on something, please don't revert on the basis of it being non-controversial, discuss it with them. — Moe ε 06:50, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks Moe, removing spoilers was my main concern since that happens a lot. TJ Spyke 22:06, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi TJ, first good to see you back. At current, no Armageddon even has been announced or is scheduled for 2007. The schedule on WWE.com doesn't list Armageddon for this year, nor does the official Mellon Arena website (where the event was going to be held). Also, a wrestling news site yesterday reported that Armageddon is currently not set to be held in 2007, see here. Unless we get official confirmation by either the Mellon Arena website or WWE.com, the event is not yet confirmed, and at the moment not scheduled to take place. Thanks - Davnel03 12:40, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

I won't change it back, but the info for Armageddon had been confirmed earlier this year by WWE (although this could have changed since then), and NYR 08 was mentioned in their official WM23 guide. TJ Spyke 22:06, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey

Can you help me? This guy is vandalising the super boy prime page and he keeps saying hes not vandalising it but hes removing sourced relevant information. Can you point me in the right direction to get this to stop?BIG Daddy M 15:17, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

I will do what I can. Without taking a look at what they are doing, try bringing it up at the comics Wikiproject (WP:COMIC) and see if they can help. Try discussing the issue with him and bringing it up on the talk page to see if others agree with you. Just make sure not to violate WP:3RR (and to report him/her if they do). TJ Spyke 22:06, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Welcome back!

Welcome back, Mr. Spyke. I hope you have learned from this ordeal. Happy editing! Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 01:23, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

I'd also like to welcome you back. Good to have you, the vandalism is as strong as ever. Gavyn Sykes 03:21, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Yeah man. WELCOME BACK! MITB LS (t·c) 00:43, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey, um... do you know the cost of each weekly PPV during the time that TNA ran their PPVs weekly (before iMPACT!)? If you do know, could you add it to the TNA PPV page. Thanks! MITB LS (t·c) 01:27, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Also, I noticed you moved the TNA Bound for Glory pages to add the refix "TNA". I understand your edit summary, but why do it? I mean, like WrestleMania or SummerSlam or Survivor Series or... etc, those paes don't have the prefix "WWE" on each of them. MITB LS (t·c) 02:26, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Alright. Just needed to know. MITB LS (t·c) 14:42, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

RE: Lockdown "discussion"

The discussion took place here. As for your objection on splitting, I believe Lockdown should be split because Lockdown 2007 was the second ever TNA Pay-per-view to be featured outside of Orlando, Flordia (meaning it's one of their main PPVs) and Lockdown features only one base match type, Six Sides of Steel. --  Kip Smithers  23:54, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

The Undertaker

Hey TJ were having a bit of a problem on the WWE Unforgiven page. The dispute is, some people want to wait till WWE TV has announced it per WP:CRYSTAL. Others, on the other hand, believe WWE.com is good enough. What do you think we should do? Thanks! -- KBW1 01:03, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

This is reffering to the Mark Henry vs. The Undertaker match. I failed to mention it in the message before this. -- KBW1 01:05, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
The match was announced on RAW this week (when they were going through the announced matches), so it is official. TJ Spyke 22:01, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
They did? I must have missed that. -- KBW1 00:37, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Starrcade 93.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Starrcade 93.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:15, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the cleanup! :) Davnel03 07:12, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Summerslam

I'm just going by Championship unification, which specifically mentions those matches and how they were unified briefly. Mshake3 04:54, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Generally I'd agree. But I seem to remember Heyman saying how the titles were being unified. I'm trying to watch the CW/LHW match now] to see if that was the case. I'll hold off on editing that article until then.

BTW, I am aware of your current limitations, and will keep them in mind when editing your posts. Mshake3 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mshake3 (talkcontribs) 05:05, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

OK, Heyman didn't say what I thought he said, so it's not a unification match. Also, just for your information, both CW/LW and tag title matches were title-for title, but all four were then individually defended later on.

One more thing. In your absence, I've turned to adding photos to the articles. Dozens of photos. Perhaps you've taken photos at events that would be useful for articles? Mshake3 05:30, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Wii

The Wii article received heavy editing today by unregistered users, which I noticed at WikiRage.com. The article may benefit from a good review. According to Wikipedia Page History Statistics, you are one of the top contributors to that page. If you have the time, would you please read over the article and make any necessary changes. Thanks. -- Jreferee (Talk) 01:47, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Dwayne Johnson to The Rock

Hey Spyke, I started a survey at Talk:Dwayne Johnson‎ and requested that Dwayne Johnson be moved to The Rock. Feel free to express your opinion at the talk page. Thanks! -- KBW1 04:16, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Nevermind, the page name was brought up at another location. It passed, and now the page name is The Rock (entertainer), thanks anyways. :) -- KBW1 05:11, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

I went ahead and sabotaged the redirects, so this shouldn't ever be a problem again. The Hybrid 05:18, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Fair use disputed for Image:JJ & Jeff.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:JJ & Jeff.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:27, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Comment on NYR

I don't want to get involved since I'm under the effects of both caffine and painkillers (not kidding), so I fear a dispute, but you know that with this edit summary you are asking people to prove a negative, right? Peace, The Hybrid 04:02, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Alright, if the WWE has announced it before than what you are doing makes sense. The painkillers are for a rotator cuff tear. Peace, The Hybrid 04:08, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

What don't you understand? WWE isn't going to "cancel" it. Just because they did with D2D, doesn't mean will for this one. I trust PWI as a source for things like this, and I still don't get why you won't. Mshake3 04:21, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

re:Lockdown & Slammiversary

As per the BFG discussion, move the Lockdown articles without discussion. As for Slammiversary: since there's no disambig for it, keep it as it is right now. MITB LS 06:05, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Don't worry. I got it. MITB LS 06:09, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
No, that's because I redirected them. Go there again and see. MITB LS 06:13, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Would you mind having a look over December to Dismember (2006), as the article is currently up for peer review. I'd be grateful for any thoughts you might have on the article, and that you leave your thoughts on the article here. Many thanks in advance, Davnel03 18:31, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Welcome back!

Hey TJ! Its good to see you back! Guess I've missed quite a bit these past couple of weeks. I've been really busy this month and haven’t had time to edit lately. I'm glad you're back TJ. I thought we lost a really good editor for a while there. Quite a lot has happened since you left too but I see you're already up to date with the news here. I'll see you around the Wiki bro. Again, welcome back! Cheers! -- bulletproof 3:16 02:39, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

No Mercy

I thought, while you were blocked, they (WP:PW), decided to take the TBA out until the actual opponent was announced. -- KBW1 03:11, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
I mean, so I have heard. Maybe not though. I was absent for quite some time, and you know why. But maybe you should ask Hybrid or bullet, I just deleted it, because through some of the old PPV's, I've seen a few edit summarys say that they've deleted the content per WP:PW deciding that it's irrelevant to add content without knowing the full details. But go ahead, if you like, check with other users. -- KBW1 03:20, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

If they have I never got the memo. I'm putting the match back in. The Hybrid 06:18, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
