The discussion of the merge for this article has restarted again after a posting on the helpdesk, I wanted to see what your thoughts are and if they have changes since your last post on this issue considering both pages have undergone revisions since you voiced your opinions. Please check it out and post any changes over here. Thanks. Tiggerjay (talk) 02:45, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Just curious, why do you have an alternate account named User:TDurden527? -FASTILY (TALK) 01:32, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- Well . . . lol. I'm not sure. I think I created TDurden527 when I started contributing to the Wikipedia Survey Project, or whatever its called, ha ha. Now things are screwed up 'cause some stuff is posted to TDurden1937 and some to TDurden527. Not sure what to do about it or . . . really what went wrong. Seems it is causing some confusion . . . so I'll have to try and do something about it. BTW, I signed into Wiki using TDurden1937 and now my "User:" seems to be TDurden527. I don't get it.TDurden1937 (talk) 19:44, 30 May 2011 (UTC)TDurden1937

criticism of science work
[edit]if you want to give me an e mail the one i most use is tsp214@verizon.net. but i have checked it infrequently the past month due to a new schedule i've obtained. so it might be better to communicate mainly over wiki talk pages. i wont be able to elaborate in full on any lengthy topic as i've sustained a fractured forearm and can only type with one hand at the moment. however, dont be discouraged, im still more than willing to communicate- i just will be rather short and prosaic instead of my usual long winded, poetic self.
the idea i have so far for improving the article is possibly transporting some of the "philosophy of science" article over to show how criticism from inside scientific circles helped improve it. i just contacted an acquaintance of mine who i consider someone well versed in western philosophy to write about hume and the like in the article. i have yet to hear from him, though. i believe we may be able to take excerpts from the philosophy of science article, and place them in the criticism article with a link to wear it came from for most of it without doing much of an injustice to the topic. i will be better suited for the task after the cast comes off.

Project: YEC
[edit]Think you might want to join? This project section has a lot of potential, but currently lacks direction. Wekn reven i susej eht Talk• Follow 11:36, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
- Welcome, and thanks for the addition to my page. First and foremost, I want the "Creationists" and "Evolutionists" (to use over-generalized terms) to stop the mad accusations against one another. I'm a Biblical creationist myself (YEC) and admit many of us have been over-harsh, including me, towards evolutionists. Visa-versa applies. The Bible tells us how to react in situations when beliefs are in question in 1 Corinthians 1-4. As long as you are a Bible believer, I'm not sure which one is worse: being an angry YEC, or a Gap theorist. Although I believe the origin of the world is central doctrine (maybe not essential, but if you love the LORD with all your heart, soul, and mind, I'm sure He'll want you to trust in his word, but I won't go into the interpretation part just now). To quote Paul, "What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod? Or in love and a spirit of gentleness?" Thank you. Wekn reven i susej eht Talk• Follow 14:36, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you. Is it all right with you if I move the second part to a (comments on the quote) page that appears right after "TDurden1937"? One reason why I like discussing things with you is that I never get extremely heated responses. Like in a real conversation. Even if we don't agree on something. Perhaps this mentality itself might be good to spread around. I agree with pretty much all you've stated so far. My view of science goes as follows, to quote Roger Patterson: "Science has been hijacked by those with a materialistic worldview and exalted as the ultimate means of obtaining knowledge about the world. Proverbs tells us that the fear of GOD, not science, is the beginning of knowledge. In a biblical worldview, scientific observations are interpreted in light of the truth that is found in the Bible. If conclusions contradict the truth revealed in Scripture, the conclusions are rejected. The same thing happens in naturalistic science. Any conclusion that does not have a naturalistic explanation is rejected." The issue for us then becomes 'what truth is found in the Bible?' Hope to hear from you soon. 706 pound 12 oz shell
[edit]Hi there Doug, oz = ounce = 1/16th of a pound. So 706 lb (pound) 12 oz was the old way to designate 706 3/4 pounds weight for the shell. Good to see some interest out there for old military stuff. regards, Rod in Sydney Australia1.129.97.20 (talk) 07:39, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
