Welcome
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. To find out how to make useful contributions, take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means, and on Notability (organizations and companies) for more detail. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted. Follow the links below to learn more:
- To find out more about creating articles, read the Introduction and the Guide to creating your first article.
- You should not write articles about yourself, your band, your client, your company or your best friend - that's a conflict of interest.
- Wikipedia is not an advertising service. Before writing about your own business, read Business' FAQ.
- For experiments, please use the sandbox.

A tag has been placed on Printglobe, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of Printglobe and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnCD (talk) 20:40, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:PrintGlobe Logo.gif)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:PrintGlobe Logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:24, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of PrintGlobe Inc.
[edit]A tag has been placed on PrintGlobe Inc., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Paranormal Skeptic (talk) 15:00, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- The problem is that the article is written in promotional fashion as if it were an ad, with language like "PrintGlobe.com has made strides as an online printer by providing a unique and user-friendly experience, backed by excellent customer service for a catalog of more than 10,000 personalized products." See WP:SPAM and WP:NPOV. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:28, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- Sure, I'd be glad to review a revised article. Post it to your userspace at User:Synapse8/PrintGlobe Inc., and let me know when to look at it. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:41, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- You've gotten rid of the advertising for the most part, but this still doesn't persuade me that this company is notable per WP:CORP. NawlinWiki (talk) 00:16, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Synapse8/PrintGlobe Inc., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages: user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for businesses.
If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page in question and leave a note on this page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Calton | Talk 13:51, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- I'll hold off on deleting this article-in-progress in your userspace for now, as long as you continue to work on making it less promotional. If it travels to article-space in the current form, it will be deleted. Wikipedians strongly object to articles that sound like they might be a brochure for the company ... in fact, they want the articles deleted on sight, before the articles get picked up by Google and other search indexes. If someone might think from reading your article, "Hey, that sounds great, where do I sign up?", then we probably don't want it in Wikipedia. An objective, neutral review of significant businesses is sometimes okay; see WP:SPAM and WP:CORP. - Dan Dank55 (push to talk) 18:40, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
