Gray background, Maroon boxes, and blue links please :D . I'll keep my userpage as-is, I prefer my upfront information about myself. But this is nice, quick links if someone just checks the Talk. As to your RfA, sorry it didn't pass. But hey, you saw what happened with CSCWEM! Thanks for your support for me. Teke 04:00, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

Swatjester, don't know if this is the right place but I'm still not very sure of Wikipedia process/procedures (confusing!)?? I was one of the users that contributed to building the "United States Navy Mark 12 Mod X Special Purpose Rifle" listing (I did not have a username at the time). I've recently gone back to make a few edits and someone (you?) has reverted my changes out. While a bit of what I wrote about other sources of SPR information/data might have been peripheral (and thus worthy of edit), I did clarify a point in the thread that was currenly inaccurate, namely that certain US SOF groups only use certain iterations of the SPR (there is now clear evidence to dispute that) as well as clarify that NAVSPECWARCOM is now believed to be issuing Nightforce scopes on their SPRs. Given my investment in the original post I'd like to be able to make these fixes too. How can we discuss? Thanks. Task Force 0 Your RFA[edit]Sorry to hear about your RFA. Trust me, in time, you will make admin. About me leaving, yes, and its my final decision. I am glad that I was seen as a "role model" to some Wikipedians. I'll be on Wikipedia to answer new messages I get but only until Monday when I stop answering these new messages. If you need me afterwards you can try e-mailing me. Good talking to you Swatjester.. -- Moe ε 01:59, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
Hey Swat, the RfA was going great when I saw it in the early stages, sorry it didn't work out... I think you can take comfort that most of the oppose votes gave guidance on how to make good, no "lost cause" here in anyone's mind. Nice one, Deizio 17:09, 29 April 2006 (UTC) Sorry to hear this. I am in the same boat as you, I have failed (two) RfAs. I know the feeling, but if it makes you feel better mine failed on my birthday! Computerjoe's talk 19:22, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
Sorry it didn't work out. Better luck with your next one. If you need a nominator let me know. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 19:39, 29 April 2006 (UTC) To be honest when I saw your RfA I thought it'd be an easy support but after reading the oppose reasons, and examining them carefully I didn't feel able to this time. I'm sure though by taking the comments on board and doing all you can to fix the issues raised you'll be a great candidate next time- I look forward to being able to support you then. Cheers, Petros471 19:45, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
Sorry your RfA didn't reach consensus. I'll be there in support the next time around. You will make a good admin. Best, Gwernol 23:29, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
Re the whole de-bureaucrating thing[edit]Hi, I never came to thank you for the message you left for me a month ago when I stepped down from being a bureaucrat. Thank you for the things you said, it's good to know there are still plenty of good people about in this project. Exmormonism[edit]Howdy. Wondering if you can add Exmormonism to your watch list and weigh in as you can to build consensus. You have a level head, and your work at Joseph Smith, Jr. was much appreciated by all involved. We've been trying to get sources added into the page, but it seems very ancedotal, and some new editors still have the "us versus them" attitude. Lastly, they equate Mormonism with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and academically, they are very different things. I think we've made good progress on an outline, but need exterior help to guide discussion. Your help on controversial issues is great, and your help in this case would be appreciated. I'll pick back up editing next week (have a number of sources I will get info from to add in this weekend), but thought a few more eyes from those outside the Latter Day Saint movement would be a good idea. Thanks, as always. -Visorstuff 00:10, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

The article's got some POV issues from both sides; I took a crack at about half the article last night and made some progress, but another editor disagreed and reverted me. You've been pretty good at looking at things from an unbiased standpoint before, and would like to hear from you what you think worked well and what didn't. Thanks. Since you commented on the Deny recognition proposal, this is to notify you that a formal poll has been opened concerning it. Why, may I ask, was this edit reverted? First of all, the "do" is as far as I can tell incorrect English. The writer is not trying to convince anybody, it is a statement of fact. Secondly, "significant" is a loaded word in that context and is therefore inappropriate for Wikipedia. There is nothing wrong with the word "moderate" as it carries a different tone. The reader is reminded that the booster packs do indeed come with extra content, but not something that would imply the addition of a whole new game's worth of content. Oh, and don't you dare ever leave that condescending sandbox comment on my talk page ever again. Thank you. 69.124.143.230 01:50, 10 September 2006 (UTC) Your edit was considered to be original research and non neutral point of view. I don't follow. Test1 states "Thank you for experimenting with the page Battlefield 2 on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia." How am I wrong to tell him that his edit was reverted or removed? His edit was intentionally POV, and my reversion of his POV was not "edit warring". What gives? a) I reverted per edit sum regarding your not having discussed it on the talk page. b) your edit doesn't really have anything to do with the Iraq war. German trauma over WWII has no apparent direct relation on the Iraq war, and does nothing to strengthen the article. c) the minor marking is an automatic byproduct of using god-mode lite to revert your edit. Sorry. ⇒ SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 07:20, 17 September 2006 (UTC) Er, I did discuss it on the talk page, though it's in a section with a weird title ("I really do not like this" - not my title, but I wasn't sure what the policies were on retitling talk page sections). I originally had a reference to this part of the talk page in my edit summary, but I inadvertently lost the edit summary in the process of merging with another simultaneous edit. It's not really "my edit" so much as retention of information that had been in the article for a while and that I found relevant and interesting, though I'm coming to see that the specific wording may be unfortunate. Would you be willing to take a look at the discussion on the talk page, including KevinPuj's and my reasons for thinking that the issue is relevant and notable, and let us know there what your views are after reading that? Warren Dew 17:14, 17 September 2006 (UTC) I don't have the time right now to bring myself completely up to speed. It appears that the situation is not as I first observed it, so I apologize for any confusion my revert may have caused. If for some odd reason this is still an issue by Oct. 1st, then I'll have time to come look at it, but until that point I'm just going to step back and let you and the other editors work it out amongst yourselves. Sorry, I just have some real world work/education priorities that are taking up too much time.⇒ SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 23:01, 17 September 2006 (UTC) Regarding you're vote for the deletion of James Barnett I think that you should reconsider, the page has many links to the mainstream media where he is mentioned, this clearly makes him fall under the WP:BIO guidelines, "Persons achieving renown or notoriety for their involvement in newsworthy events," please reconsider.Cholga 17:22, 19 September 2006 (UTC) Thankyou[edit]Hey Swatjester, I just wanted to say thanks for supporting my recent RfA. The term isn't one I'd heard before, but a google search suggests that some people are using it. It might be better renamed or merging into some other page but I don't know to where. Anyway, just in case you're interested in tackling it. Regards, Ben Aveling 10:51, 17 October 2006 (UTC) Thanks, I'll take a look.
